Ep 90: Creativity, Chronic Pain and Mindful Movement with Christine MacSween
Mar 04, 2021 Episode 90

How can a mindfulness and mindful movement practice influence and inspire your creative pursuits? Today, Physiotherapist and creative Christine MacSween is here to share her process and experience with us!

Christine is a yoga and movement teacher turned physical therapist who is passionate about pelvic health as a part of whole body/whole person health. Much of her clinical practice is in pelvic health and chronic pain. Her prior education in Religious Studies, Economics, and Kinesiology prepared her to look at physiotherapy and pelvic health in a larger context of culture, society, belief and perspectives of the human body. She is a storyteller at heart, whether with pen or paintbrush, and is writing a fantasy memoir novel about grief.

In our conversation Christine shares with us:
- How her creative practices influence and are influenced by her mindful movement practice
- Her personal and professional experience with chronic pain and how she has managed this through her life
- Alternative relaxation and mindfulness practices for those of us who find it challenging or 'unsafe' to lay still with our eyes closed
- Plus so much more.
