SelfKind: Conversations in self-care, kindness and compassion for highly sensitive people
Hi and welcome to SelfKind with me, Erica Webb. This is a podcast for Highly Sensitive People (HSP) who want to navigate the tricky bits of their sensitivity with more ease, while finding their sensitivity super powers. Here, we're all about being, living and moving through a lens of self compassion and kindness.
As your host, I meet you as a fellow HSP. I know what it's like to feel like things are too loud, too bright and just ... too much. In my work as a registered counsellor and mindful movement coach, I've supported myself and my clients to find ways to embrace their sensitivity that centre on self-compassion, nervous system regulation, self-awareness and, ultimately, self-love.
From mindfulness, mindful movement, joy seeking and a zillion and one practices in between, here you'll find space to be fully you - fully human - and the tools to navigate the tricky bits of having a highly sensitive nervous system.
I’m thrilled you’re here.

Ep 95: Living a Values-Based Life with Laura Jean
Today, I'm thrilled to Welcome Laura Jean from Dietitian Values to the podcast to talk all about living a values-based life.
In this episode we talk about:
- What values are and how they are different from what we value
- What it means to 'show up in other people's values' and how this impacts how we show up in our lives
- How to discover your own values (and why it's important to understand that they will change)
- Why listening to your body can help reveal your values
- Why 'should' is a red flag (and what to do instead)
- Why imperfection is a reality (and ok!)
- The importance of self-compassion (the closest thing to a magic wand Laura can offer)
- What we need to know about how the 'system' holds us back
Tune in to hear more!
