SelfKind: Conversations in self-care, kindness and compassion for highly sensitive people
Hi and welcome to SelfKind with me, Erica Webb. This is a podcast for Highly Sensitive People (HSP) who want to navigate the tricky bits of their sensitivity with more ease, while finding their sensitivity super powers. Here, we're all about being, living and moving through a lens of self compassion and kindness.
As your host, I meet you as a fellow HSP. I know what it's like to feel like things are too loud, too bright and just ... too much. In my work as a registered counsellor and mindful movement coach, I've supported myself and my clients to find ways to embrace their sensitivity that centre on self-compassion, nervous system regulation, self-awareness and, ultimately, self-love.
From mindfulness, mindful movement, joy seeking and a zillion and one practices in between, here you'll find space to be fully you - fully human - and the tools to navigate the tricky bits of having a highly sensitive nervous system.
I’m thrilled you’re here.

Ep 129: The power of giving ourselves permission to change
I remember the moment vividly: a well-respected yoga teacher standing in front of me, admitting that she had published books that now contained information she'd changed her mind about. And she was ok with it. Embraced it even. Boom. Life-changing.
Why? Because I think up until that point I truly believed I had to be 'right' to be good. And that 'rightness' had to be long-lasting. I couldn't change my mind, or backflip, or adjust. Consequently, I often kept my opinion to myself, knowing deep down that there was just so much I didn't know, how could I possibly NOT change my mind in the face of good evidence?
This is the story I'm sharing on today's episode of The Movement and Mindfulness Podcast. This moment happened over a decade ago, but the impact of it is still clearly felt and seen by me today. I want to offer up an invitation to you, too, to know that it's ok to move differently on your mat, to explore how new information fits into your old paradigms. Growth isn't a sign of weakness or not enoughness.
