What happens when a 14-year-old cheerleader is dropped from 17 feet in the air, left paralyzed, and told by doctors she would never recover?

In this episode of Ultra Life Today, chiropractor Dr. James Bugg shares the inside story of how God used chiropractic care, prayer, and hands-on techniques to help Kenzie Taylor walk again when conventional medicine had given up hope.

From a diagnosis of piriformis muscle syndrome to prayer-led treatment that brought immediate results, this powerful testimony shows how faith and the nervous system’s healing design can bring restoration when the odds seem impossible.

You’ll also hear how Dr. Bugg helps patients with common but life-changing issues like GERD, newborn care, bedwetting, asthma, and chronic pain—always guided by the Holy Spirit.

0:00:00 - (Josh Bellieu): She tells this amazing story of basically having a horrifying accident as a flyer. She was on the cheerleading team in high school. And so here's this young lady with her entire life in front of her. She's brilliant. She was going to be a conventional medical doctor. She had her life in front of her. She gets dropped after being thrown about, I think, 16 or 17ft in the air, hit her spine. All of a sudden, it just has this horrible downward spiral that ultimately ends up with her being in bed, basically bedridden, paralyzed, can't get up.

0:00:33 - (Josh Bellieu): And all these teams of conventional medical doctors basically said they could. We're giving up on you. So just, I mean, they really preppeded her parents who were both in the medical field. They prepped her parents for her to basically be vegetate. Vegetate and potentially even die. So it was that bad. So enter a really interesting thing. She had a grandpa, and. And the grandpa kind of, I think, stepped in and resolutely said, I know a man.

0:01:11 - (Josh Bellieu): Hey, welcome back to this really interesting conversation we're having with Dr. James Bugg, a chiropractor, but really a spiritual man that relies on tapping into the wisdom of the Lord and using all the different knowledge that he has to bring healing into people's lives. Not just healing to their body, emotional healing. All kinds of things take place under this man's beautiful care of his patients.

0:01:38 - (Josh Bellieu): I want to remind you how you can contact him before we move into this segment. Phone number to reach him. 405-703-4322. Right here in the greater Oklahoma City metro area in the north side of town and just a little south of the Kilpatrick Turnpike. So we've gone through this cool journey, but I want people to hear from your perspective, so I'm going to set this up. Spoiler alert. For those of you that haven't seen our podcast number two, three, and four with Kenzie Taylor, the naturopath, because she tells this amazing story of basically having a horrifying accident.

0:02:13 - (Josh Bellieu): As a flyer, she was on the cheerleading team in high school.

0:02:41 - (Josh Bellieu): And all these teams of Conventional medical doctors basically said they could. We're giving up on you. So just. I mean they really preppeded her parents who were both in the medical field. They prepped her parents for her to basically be vegetate. Vegetate and potentially even die. So it was that bad. So enter a really interesting thing. She had a grandpa and the grandpa kind of I think stepped in and resolutely said, I know a man.

0:03:09 - (Josh Bellieu): I'm going to let you take that from here. Dr. Bug, tell us what remember.

0:03:12 - (Adam Payne): Do you remember when Kenzie first.

0:03:14 - (Dr. James Bugg): Oh my gosh, yes.

0:03:15 - (Josh Bellieu): So listen to this because'it's heart rending.

0:03:18 - (Dr. James Bugg): It was heart. It was amazing. They carried her in and had her. They gave me a. It's real important to do a history and we talked and I think somebody el else besides her mother was with her. But I don't remember ex exactly. But they carried her in and, and, and on that history told about they had just given up on her. I think she weighed like 81 pounds and they sent her.

0:03:47 - (Josh Bellieu): She and she's small girl anyway.

0:03:49 - (Dr. James Bugg): Yeah.

0:03:50 - (Josh Bellieu): 14 years old.

0:03:50 - (Dr. James Bugg): It's so beautiful inside and out. Amazing. And so she had several things. One of them, she claims that the piriformis muscle syndrome which a lot of people don't really understand that some caropractors.

0:04:07 - (Josh Bellieu): Don'T even big deal with dancers and with athletes.

0:04:11 - (Dr. James Bugg): What was it called A piriformis muscle syndrome. Until 1964, a woman osteopath physician coined the phrase piriformis muscle syndrome. Fixed it and in one year they think she saved about 4,000 low back surgeries because it mimics a blown disc. They couldn't find any blown disc in her back and that's what was thr them off.

0:04:33 - (Adam Payne): Okay, so what so in your approach what opened up in front of you when you saw Kenzie and what did and what was your. Were you trusting in the Holy Spirit at this time for your help? I always trust in the hol o.

0:04:49 - (Dr. James Bugg): That's the only way. Yes.

0:04:50 - (Adam Payne): Yeah. But at that time it was the Lord was operating in your life. So what did you see and what did you do?

0:04:58 - (Dr. James Bugg): It was a trifect of thing had her lumbar vertebrae was both swollen muscle spasm and then subluxated move lessen el luxation out of place O not causing any raidicular pains. But one of the main things besides the piriformis muscle syndrome people have your main muscles on your spine is called pas and people. A lot of people will have soaz major and minor. Well, she actually has both. About 20% of people won't have the minor.

0:05:30 - (Dr. James Bugg): And so you do a diagnosis point where she's laying on her back. And it's just amazing. You take your hands and come up above your head and see which hands short. And that tells me the side that I need to do what's called muscle gouging. And it is. It's painful. And I ask.

0:05:49 - (Adam Payne): That does sound like it's painful.

0:05:52 - (Dr. James Bugg): Yeah. But it's just momentarily. And I ask them if they bruise easy to just kind of be aware that it's just a one little spot and you release it and then. And that releases that muscle. And so you have them, you recheck them again and have them be in the praying position. And always say, well, pray that I don't have to do the other side.

0:06:13 - (Josh Bellieu): Get a laugh.

0:06:15 - (Dr. James Bugg): And sure enough, I only had to do one side on her and those three things. And then again having her mother in there, having other family members let them see how really bad she is. I showed them the different leg link discrepancies, the hand discrepancies, the muscle spasm so and so forth. And then we had prayer. Of course. I've got a unique way of praying with people.

0:06:42 - (Josh Bellieu): You do.

0:06:44 - (Dr. James Bugg): It's somehow the Lord just. I'm not pushing anything on it.

0:06:48 - (Adam Payne): Sure.

0:06:49 - (Dr. James Bugg): My God is just wants to bless us all and just to receive the blessing. There's no. You got to follow these rules. Ye my goshe.

0:06:57 - (Adam Payne): Here's the checklist. And when youul filled all the requirements of the checklist come back and then maybe we'll get something.

0:07:02 - (Dr. James Bugg): O yeah, absolutely. So did those things with her and. And she immedia got better and she had to come back like two or three times now.

0:07:13 - (Adam Payne): Did she walk out?

0:07:14 - (Dr. James Bugg): Yes, she did. Yes, she did. She really did. It was amazing. Did I cried? I did.

0:07:21 - (Adam Payne): Wow.

0:07:21 - (Josh Bellieu): I bet there was a lot of tears.

0:07:23 - (Dr. James Bugg): Yes.

0:07:23 - (Josh Bellieu): Her motherher that particular session.

0:07:26 - (Dr. James Bugg): Why I just love her whole family love her.

0:07:29 - (Adam Payne): So you released that trapped muscle and then you. You corrected a subluxation, right?

0:07:36 - (Dr. James Bugg): Yes. And what was the third thing I showed her? Well, that. That goiform that I showed her exercises to release the piriformms muscle.

0:07:49 - (Adam Payne): Okay.

0:07:49 - (Dr. James Bugg): And did some soft. Another thing that I do. It's called soft tissue manipulation. And there's. It's almost unheard of especially in caropractage schools now. In fact, the osteopaths really were started. They called the vitrious humors. They worked on the organ. You move organs around. One of the main things people will come in With GERD and on those medicines that cause osteopenia. Osteoporosis.

0:08:16 - (Adam Payne): Right. Depleting all the minerals from your body.

0:08:18 - (Dr. James Bugg): Just your H2 blockers, but the other blockers too. And it so many side effects. Well, there'sle easy way to fix that. And then I counsel them on just elevating the big.

0:08:32 - (Adam Payne): Okay, hold. Hold on. Okay, so you know how many people are dealing with. With that.

0:08:38 - (Dr. James Bugg): I know.

0:08:38 - (Adam Payne): Okay, so. So you have to come back from that easy, easy way of dealing with that.

0:08:44 - (Josh Bellieu): What is your. So are we done with Kenzie for now? I want to make sure.

0:08:49 - (Dr. James Bugg): Yes, she got better then. I think a lot of times God doesn't cause problems, but he uses these problems to get people to come in and start her on the road of not just recovery, but start her on the road of natural medicine. She actually ended up going to work for me and then decided she wanted to get her a doctorate in theinalatury naturathy.

0:09:17 - (Adam Payne): So how long did she work for you, Doc?

0:09:19 - (Dr. James Bugg): About a year.

0:09:20 - (Adam Payne): A year. And. And that must have been just such a nurturing, loving environment where she was learning how you were.

0:09:26 - (Dr. James Bugg): Yes.

0:09:27 - (Adam Payne): How you were praying with people or through, you know, how the Lord used you. Boy, what a beautiful.

0:09:32 - (Dr. James Bugg): She took off and ran with her.

0:09:33 - (Josh Bellieu): And dude, I am here to tell you, she has that same unique intuitive thing going on with Holy Spirit when she's working with patients. It's very cool.

0:09:42 - (Dr. James Bugg): Yes.

0:09:42 - (Josh Bellieu): You. You release that tour her, I believe.

0:09:46 - (Dr. James Bugg): Yeah. God used me for that. And again, people come in. I said, God doesn't cause pain. He doesn't cause accidents, but he uses things to teach you something and to.

0:09:58 - (Josh Bellieu): Draw other people'working things together for the good. It's amen. It's biblical.

0:10:03 - (Dr. James Bugg): Yes, sir.

0:10:04 - (Josh Bellieu): Y.

0:10:04 - (Dr. James Bugg): Yes.

0:10:04 - (Josh Bellieu): That's amazing. Okay, so Adam is really inquisitive about this idea. You can potentially help someone with gastro esophageal reflux disorder by doing something on their body. How does that work?

0:10:17 - (Dr. James Bugg): You have them on their back and have the knees bent and then release. I release the diaphragm. Spasm. I've got this. The instrument you were talking about before in break. It's amazing. It does 22 pulses a second. And I use it to release the muscle here. I go over all the spine. I don't have to crack bones to help people get better. I noticed that if somebody's worried about not wanting their neck cracked or whatever, but there's all kinds of wayte.

0:10:44 - (Adam Payne): Yeah. So what is this? What does this electrical pulse thing do?

0:10:47 - (Dr. James Bugg): Oh, it, it releases endorphins in keffins, your body's own opiate. It releases neurotransmitters. It most every muscle splls, especially around the spine. Scientific. And some not so scientifically studied have a reflex like he your knee, which what a reflex does. If you tap your knee and it goes straight to the spine to L4 vertebrae and comes back, it doesn't go to your brain.

0:11:17 - (Josh Bellieu): Cool.

0:11:17 - (Dr. James Bugg): And go, well, you just hit my knee, so I got a kick. It's just automatic. Goes spinal cord and back.

0:11:24 - (Adam Payne): Yeah. It doesn't have to go all the way up to the brain. It'actually it's built into the lower nervous system.

0:11:28 - (Dr. James Bugg): Yeah. And this machine hits all those and releases those reflexes, releases those endorphins and caffins. The fast acting is slow acting.

0:11:37 - (Josh Bellieu): Is it almost like creating an electrical connection again that somehow was short circuited? Is that okay to use that analogy?

0:11:45 - (Dr. James Bugg): Yeah, that's a good, that's a good analogy. I can say, you know, we're nerve experts. I remember in chiropractic school we'd be sharing the, sharing the libraries with the medical students and they would see one of them saw my neurology book we were studying. They go, oh, doctor, are you neurologist? No, I'm a chiropractic student. He said, well, that's why that's what our specialty, our neurologist neurosurgeons study.

0:12:09 - (Josh Bellieu): So give us an example of someone that may have come in with gerd. Gastroesophageal reflux disorder. You know, acid reflux problems, having to sleep in different positions, taking medications.

0:12:20 - (Adam Payne): Okay.

0:12:20 - (Josh Bellieu): How quickly do you see someone begin to move toward healing a resolve?

0:12:24 - (Dr. James Bugg): Oh, it's almost immediate. It's almost immediate.

0:12:27 - (Adam Payne): So the problem with GERD is that the valve at the, of the, of the stomach, it doesn't.

0:12:33 - (Josh Bellieu): So there's something's not conducting it'sia to make that happen.

0:12:37 - (Adam Payne): Hiaal Hernia. Yeah. And so you're saying it's essentially a mis electrical signal there.

0:12:45 - (Dr. James Bugg): Yes, along with the. Okay, what happens? Okay, if you have, say like you have this. If you can see me here, stomach here, the diaphragm muscle, how you breathe right here.

0:12:54 - (Adam Payne): Right.

0:12:54 - (Dr. James Bugg): Oay, then what happens? This, this top part of the stomach, the cardiac sphincter and valve. And here's the bottom that empties out into the small intestines to the large intest y that herniates up past the diaphragm. And I do this maneuver and it makes it go back down and Then I counsel them. I have them either raise their bed. We have a water bed, which can't just raise the bed, very easy. So you elevate pillows and have them eat small meals all day and do this for about two weeks. Maybe come back and see me a couple of times.

0:13:27 - (Dr. James Bugg): And then I like to see somebody once a month. I can catch so much stuff before it becomes a problem.

0:13:32 - (Adam Payne): That's beautiful.

0:13:33 - (Dr. James Bugg): And all the soft tissue things, bladder, everything you can think that help.

0:13:38 - (Adam Payne): So you know what cardiologists do when somebody has an arrhythmia? They'll do something called an cardverssion. Yes, cardioversion, which is essentially resetting the electrical rhythm of these things. So you're releasing the diaphragm from the. From the heart.

0:13:56 - (Dr. James Bugg): It makes that herniation come back down.

0:13:58 - (Adam Payne): Come back down.

0:13:59 - (Dr. James Bugg): And then you do things to support it. If they are on. If they are on. Not the H2 blockers. Like I don't know why I can't.

0:14:07 - (Josh Bellieu): Think of the name.

0:14:08 - (Dr. James Bugg): I know it proably. I can't. Oh my gosh.

0:14:13 - (Adam Payne): It's not. That's terrible stuff.

0:14:15 - (Dr. James Bugg): It's terrible. The hydrogen. Anyho, I at least get them off of those. And I suggest for a little while, if it's really, really bad, go ahead and take just your H2 blockers. You know, the more mild formula of it that doesn't have so many side effects. Everything has side effects. And then elevate their bed and watch. Just have them eat small meals at night and come back and see me two or three times.

0:14:42 - (Adam Payne): You know, you know there'. Do you know Dave Mason, the integrative. What'what's it called? Innovative Pharc Pharmacy. Or Keith Bishop over at Flour Pharmacy. You know what they. What their approach is? They're saying that as we age that we produce less and less stomach acid.

0:15:00 - (Dr. James Bugg): Y ye.

0:15:01 - (Adam Payne): So they say, look, we want to give you more stomach acid so that. That actually overcomes.

0:15:06 - (Dr. James Bugg): I know, it's such an opposite thing. They're so smart about that. We studied that in school. Say you take an ant acid. You need the acid, you need the acid.

0:15:16 - (Josh Bellieu): We're going into Another segment with Dr. Bugs, so fasten your seat belts to learn more about these interesting things that he does. 0:16:10 - (Josh Bellieu): Welcome back to Ultralife. Today I am hanging out with a good friend of mine, Dr. James Bug. And somebody else is actually hanging out with us too.

0:16:18 - (Adam Payne): It's Adam Payne over here. This is Ultral Life. Today we've been having an incredible interview with Dr. Bug. We've learned a little bit about your life story and how the Lord led you into chiropracty and all sorts of other modalities that God has kind of added into your toolkit. And it's been amazing. You know, one of our dear friends, Kinsey Taylor, who we talked about earlier, her life journey and how she got into naturopathy, how the Lord used you to release her from a death sentence.

0:16:45 - (Adam Payne): Was it'such a powerful story, Josh, where can people again touch on that Kenzie Taylor story?

0:16:53 - (Josh Bellieu): Yeah, it's episode two, three and four. And what you do when you're going to your favorite podcasting platform, whether it's Apple or Ihear or you go to YouTube, you type in one word, ultral life. U, L, T, R, A, L, I, F, T, F, E. And then the word today, Ultral Life as a single word. And then today after that, you'll pull us up. Episode number two, three and four. You don't want to miss this amazing story. It's one of those stories that we have found people love to share with loved ones and friends or people that. It's just so very powerful. And now you've gotten to hear the other side of this story from the man that God poured himself through to bring about that unique healing and set knzie on a course for helping thousands upon thousands of people.

0:17:36 - (Josh Bellieu): Again, this is Ultra Life today. You like what we're doing? Share us with friends, give us high fives. We want to beat the big tech algorithm and have as many people as possible get this beautiful, relevant content. I had something come up for me, Dr. Bug. I've heard about this before. I know a couple of people that have done it. But chiropractors actually treat newborn infants and babies. Don't tell us about that and tell us why that happens.

0:18:05 - (Josh Bellieu): And again, what I've heard, I know people who've had their children literally treated by chiropractors from the day they had them. I mean, they may have had them at Home chiropractor did a home visit. And then I followed with those parents, those children's health journeys. And it's like they hardly ever get sick, you know. And I'm like, wow. So I got to hear about this.

0:18:27 - (Adam Payne): Yeah. So I really. Newborns.

0:18:30 - (Dr. James Bugg): Yeah. I had the blessing. And at the time it wasn't a blessing. I was scared to death. I got to deliver my own son. Oh, w some states we do minor surgery, deliver babies. And I had been a paramedic before.

0:18:42 - (Adam Payne): Oh, wow.

0:18:43 - (Dr. James Bugg): And I had delivered babies before. But this, when it's your own child, it's pretty scary. And anyhow, what you see on a normal, normal non C section vaginal delivery, the brain will. It's pretty weird looking at it kind of herniates out past the sutures, especially the midline suture.

0:19:07 - (Adam Payne): Wow.

0:19:07 - (Dr. James Bugg): And so I did an old osteopathic technique and I stud in their osteopaths where you turn them upside down and it's this little whipping motion, holding on to their legs and then pull those sutures out. So in the nursery, the nurses were going, well, oh, we got toa kind of watch him. That's a C section baby. And I'm going, no, no, he's not. Yes, he's a C section baby.

0:19:29 - (Josh Bellieu): Cause he looks so perfect, right? Oh, that's amazing.

0:19:32 - (Dr. James Bugg): It was funny. Yeah.

0:19:33 - (Josh Bellieu): So there wasn't the elongated head or anything like that going on.

0:19:36 - (Adam Payne): You actually reset. Reset the Y in the brain. Yeah, Yeah's like you whipp the baby a little bit.

0:19:42 - (Dr. James Bugg): Oh, it's just. It sounds worse than it is. It's just barely. And your. You're using your fingers to. Here's the legs. And using your fingers to kind of pull the sutures open to let the brain go back in.

0:19:57 - (Adam Payne): Oh, wow. And it actually. You felt it happened.

0:20:01 - (Dr. James Bugg): Yes. And another thing on bed waditing, I learned this in chiropractic school at just that sacrum, you know, you've got four fused. You've got four fused tailbone vertebrae when you're about 14 to 16. And then you got five saral vetebraes that they fuse when they're about 15, 16. And then. And then the five lumbarss and 12 thoracics on up. But that sacrum will go out of place. You adust that. And that's the end of the long term bedwinning.

0:20:34 - (Adam Payne): Oh, wow.

0:20:35 - (Dr. James Bugg): Really? Yes. I've seen it work so many times. It's gosh.

0:20:39 - (Adam Payne): So, okay, so we have a solution for Gerd today?

0:20:43 - (Dr. James Bugg): Yes, sir.

0:20:43 - (Adam Payne): We have a solution. For newborns for their early healthy life.

0:20:48 - (Dr. James Bugg): Yes.

0:20:49 - (Adam Payne): And bedetting.

0:20:50 - (Dr. James Bugg): Yes. And then for the mothers, you know, I had an ob GYN sister where we all worked in the same office. There was a internal medicine doctor sister and then ob GY and doctor who all had a part time clinic on weekends together. And they would send me the mothers for nausea and I would do acupuncture for nausea.

0:21:13 - (Adam Payne): Oh wow.

0:21:14 - (Dr. James Bugg): And all they had in their quiver of arrows is some phogrin they put on wrist.

0:21:20 - (Josh Bellieu): Prometazine.

0:21:20 - (Dr. James Bugg): Ye, yeah. Cause it would go straight into the body and it, it has some side effects to sleepiness and I don't know. And it transfers to the mother's milk stillel a little bit but it's about the safest delivery during that time. But then I would have mothers come back in that have had the rectus abdominis muscle kind of herniates open here. And so that same.

0:21:49 - (Josh Bellieu): And that's as a result of pregnancy.

0:21:51 - (Dr. James Bugg): Yes. O and so that same technique with the little modification that I'd used for the GERD to help bring that back in. And so I've helped a lot of women with that.

0:22:01 - (Josh Bellieu): Yeah, you've done some interesting things for me. Now I got to ask you this question because this idea of electrical impulses that are scientifically proven in our body, in the nervous system of the body, how many actual nerves are wrapping around the spinal column and isn't that basically almost like what we would call the master control center? And so somebody can have their low back go out and then what are some of the things that can resultantly happen to them?

0:22:31 - (Josh Bellieu): All kinds of stuff. Right.

0:22:33 - (Dr. James Bugg): Start with just a typical lumbar vertebrae, it's say 4, 5 in your right up above the spectrum that 60,000 base pairs of nerves comes out.

0:22:45 - (Josh Bellieu): That's what I was looking.

0:22:46 - (Dr. James Bugg): 60,000? Yes. And so. Well I, I've had people with asthma and one lady was quite a singer, amazing in inter church choir and she went on to America's Got Talent and I helped her her with her asthma. Now I can't say. Well I m I'mnna adjust your thoracic vertebrae and then do some acupuncture points and pressure points and pure asthma. I can't say that but I've had it happen. Thing it is if it's a chiropractic problem, nothing else is going to fix it besides.

0:23:23 - (Josh Bellieu): Oh that just. That just like kind of blew my mind. You said that. So it really seems like people should have some level of regular checkup. No different than if they Were going to see their. Their family practitioner Dr. Come in, get adjusted.

0:23:41 - (Dr. James Bugg): Now.

0:23:42 - (Josh Bellieu): Do people. Do some people hold adjustments a lot better than others? Do some people just by the nature of their work. You talked earlier to me before we were on the broadcast and I kind of referenced it that you've studied people's occul pat to actually help you develop your treatment modalities for those particular individuals.

0:24:02 - (Dr. James Bugg): I think the Lord had me again. He uses everything that we do. He had me in so many different. I never knew I wanted to be in medicine, of course. And he had me do so many different jobs from a truck driver to a dock worker to concrete finisher Brid. Talk about paramedic.

0:24:19 - (Josh Bellieu): Talk about a high stress job.

0:24:23 - (Dr. James Bugg): I went to police academy at 52 and I became a reserve deputy and I was on the SWAT team in the bomb squad. As I met it, I kept that up. But the cost, they loved it.

0:24:34 - (Adam Payne): What year?

0:24:35 - (Dr. James Bugg): Oh, I was 52. Let me see. That was 2005.

0:24:38 - (Adam Payne): Wow.

0:24:39 - (Dr. James Bugg): They loved the chiropractic. The SWAT team did. And then Ipt my I kept my advanced paramedic skills going and I worked out at Remminingam Park I for seven years. I was actually medical director. It's a long story, but I did all the jockeys physicals and he knows.

0:25:00 - (Josh Bellieu): John, by the way. I asked him the other day.

0:25:02 - (Dr. James Bugg): Other day. And I enjoyed it out there.

0:25:05 - (Adam Payne): So. So what's on the horizon for you now, Dr. Bug?

0:25:09 - (Josh Bellieu): Yeah, it sounds like you're never stopping.

0:25:11 - (Dr. James Bugg): Oh, no, no.

0:25:12 - (Josh Bellieu): Has God shown you some new thing you're wanting to pursue or.

0:25:15 - (Dr. James Bugg): Yes.

0:25:16 - (Josh Bellieu): What's on.

0:25:16 - (Dr. James Bugg): I want to build my clinic again. A couple of long stories.

0:25:22 - (Josh Bellieu): Reference. You went through a horrific ordeal with a car Raeck them two of them.

0:25:27 - (Dr. James Bugg): In a. I was in a patrol car taking a donated field hospital that, you know, outdated supplies to teach the medics and stuff. It's called. We were on the tactical emergency medicine team and I got hit from the side, spun, broke my back, a low back. And I had surgery. So that shut me down. And then I see three years ago I was hit from behind by a plumbing truck.

0:25:54 - (Josh Bellieu): This was the big one.

0:25:55 - (Dr. James Bugg): And I was basically paralyzed. I lost a third of my spinal cord. The Lord'healed me.

0:26:01 - (Josh Bellieu): I hear you.

0:26:02 - (Dr. James Bugg): I don't know what to say.

0:26:03 - (Josh Bellieu): You so are.

0:26:04 - (Dr. James Bugg): I'm doing't so lost. Well, I lost my clinic for a long time, but.

0:26:09 - (Adam Payne): But what happened? I mean, you got hit and then.

0:26:12 - (Dr. James Bugg): You were had major surgery rebuilt. They built a k'around my neck and everything.

0:26:17 - (Adam Payne): Right. And they said, well, you're going to.

0:26:19 - (Dr. James Bugg): Be paralyzed, partial and lost. You know, it's urinary incontnt. I don't want to talk about a lot of the symptoms'horrible and dizziness and so on.

0:26:30 - (Adam Payne): So how did the Lord lead you into healing? What happened?

0:26:35 - (Dr. James Bugg): A chiropractor friend next door to me, actually. Dr. Rick Mustain, very good chiropractic.

0:26:43 - (Josh Bellieu): I know Rick well.

0:26:44 - (Dr. James Bugg): Yeah, he's next door to me there. In fact, you know what, what we learned in chiropractic school. And it holds anything. You can't burn out a candle, loses nothing by lighting another candle. Well, he got kicked out of his place just like my wife and I did. They sold him in this out from underneath us. Now we have a long lease. So I said, well, Rick, come on over here. And we. What's really nice. We both gave our clinics to the Lord, put our hands on each clinic.

0:27:12 - (Adam Payne): Oh, wow.

0:27:13 - (Dr. James Bugg): Every.

0:27:13 - (Adam Payne): That's a beautiful.

0:27:14 - (Dr. James Bugg): And gave it to Jesus. Yes, sir. And so he worked on me a lot. And, and.

0:27:20 - (Adam Payne): And slowly but step by step, you started to regain function.

0:27:23 - (Dr. James Bugg): Yes. And. And this doesn't seem to be an advertisement about your products, but my gosh, they've helped me tremendous.

0:27:33 - (Adam Payne): The Ulra products.

0:27:34 - (Dr. James Bugg): Yeah. And it's helped me tremendously with my patients. And that's one of the things that has helped me. There's so many pathways that it fixes. You know, everything's in inflammation.

0:27:46 - (Adam Payne): So you. So you had technically a trauma to the spinal cord.

0:27:49 - (Dr. James Bugg): Yes.

0:27:50 - (Adam Payne): And so then it took a while for the. For the trauma to resolve and for the nerves to regain function. So there was a plasticity issue and relearning of neural pathways.

0:28:01 - (Dr. James Bugg): Exactly. All the above. And then just some flat outright healing. Anytime blood touches a nerve, it kills it. Well, you could see it was just a opaque. It just this white streak down my spine on an mri and that was it. It's better.

0:28:20 - (Adam Payne): Wow. God has been generous to all of us.

0:28:23 - (Dr. James Bugg): Oh my gosh.

0:28:23 - (Adam Payne): Yes. What a loving father we have.

0:28:26 - (Dr. James Bugg): So I want to build my clinic back up and.

0:28:29 - (Josh Bellieu): Well, we want to help you do that.

0:28:30 - (Dr. James Bugg): I want to reach people and touch them and help them with these gifts that I've been given. I don't want them just to sit idle. And I'm wel. I would teach any other chiropractor or physical therapist or osteopath that wants to learn these things, I would give. I'd pass that candle on.

0:28:46 - (Josh Bellieu): I'm so glad you said that. That was on my heart when I was seeing you the other day when I left your clinic last Friday, one of the things that was the prayer on my heart was guys like this are very few and far between and they need to be able to mentor and they need to be able to pass on this amazing skill set to other people.
