Ep 4. Hope for Recovery with Sasha Hawkes
Show Notes Chapter Markers

What is the first step to recovery? Acknowledging the current circumstances.

Facing our past can be hard, scary even. Trauma is often taboo in our society, but something we should actually discuss openly with one another.

Join us as we talk with Sasha, founder of Realistic Parenting, as she shares the keys to recovering from traumatic pregnancies and births. Sasha opens up about her personal experience with a traumatic labor and how it impacted her transition into motherhood, and the online Pregnancy and Birth Trauma Healing coaching program she developed because of it.

Listen closely to how Sasha points out the importance of checking in with yourself to see how you’re feeling and identifying where your emotions are stemming from so that you can begin taking your first steps to recovery. While we are talking specifically about pregnancy, birth and parenthood, these strategies can also be applied to other everyday experiences we may face, including recovering from the trauma of systematic racism within our nation.

Join Kate and myself online to continue conversations on recovering from trauma. We hope you enjoy this week’s episode.
