Show Notes

Tony Hewett works in the lives of young offenders and young people with special needs and behavioural issues.

He shares with us his enjoyment of his work and what he derives from what is often perceived as a difficult role.

Tony is also a life time runner, and for the last ten years he has gravitated towards longer and longer distances, including running seven marathons in seven days; twenty four ultras in one year which included a five day race in Spain!

He talks to us about his philosophy of stretching to try things we're not sure we can do and the value of being prepared to fail and the learning that can arise from this .

He explores how his approach works in both his work and his sport.
