What are the best oils to cook with? #BrainBites 👩‍🍳 🧠 ♥️

Did you know that cooking oils such as Vegetable Oil and Sunflower Oil are very unhealthy for our bodies and brain? Due to how they are extracted they cause inflammation which is a cause of Alzheimer's. Look for healthy substitutes like Extra Virgin Olive Oil which has a high enough smoke point for cooking and baking.

Cooking extra virgin olive oil at low heat ensures it doesn’t break down the polyphenols in the oil which are super anti-inflammatory and does things like open up our blood vessels.

👩‍🍳 🧠 #BrainBites is a new recurring segment on the #MindWhatMatters podcast featuring Dr. Annie Fenn that is all about eating for a healthy brain.

Dr. Fenn traded in her stethoscope for an apron to start the @brainhealthkitchen and is an expert on how we should eat to prevent Alzheimer’s and keep a healthy mind. Dr. Fenn also sits on the #MindWhatMattersNonProfit board.
