174. The Reality of Being Triggered

If you have experienced trauma, you will continue to be triggered for different reasons throughout your life. Don’t worry though, it’s not all doom and gloom. 


I share a very personal experience I had recently and also how you can move through your trigger without it putting you in a hole. 


This includes: 

  • Acknowledge what has triggered you. 
  • Connect with where that trigger comes from. 
  • Process any emotions or feelings that have come up. 
  • Nurture and take care of yourself. 
  • Cleanse - shower / pool / beach - whatever you need… 
  • Give yourself space for your nervous system to settle.
