I discovered your podcast through your episode about Picher, Oklahoma. I’m currently producing a documentary on the town, the result of more than two years of extensive research for an extremely viral YouTube channel that regularly receives millions of views. We expect this documentary to perform exceptionally well. I wanted to reach out to compliment you on your factual and responsible retelling of Picher’s history. I had to stop listening to several other podcasts on the subject because they were filled with significant errors. When our documentary is released, it may be of interest to you to revisit this topic. During our research, we uncovered some truly incredible stories—events that have been lost to history and will be told publicly for the first time in over 100 years. I’ve been working closely with two different local museums that archive and cover the history of Picher, and some of the discoveries we uncovered were previously unknown even to them. I’m also assisting in the creation of museum exhibits based on several of these findings. I don’t want to give away the subject matter yet, as we intend to be the first to release it in our documentary. That said, thank you for the care and diligence you put into telling a truthful version of what happened in the town. A few additional notes about the project: this will be the most complete and accurate documentary ever produced on Picher.
