Welcome to our brand new podcast. It's all marketing. I'm your host, Jan Southern I'm the owner of J Del Sur marketing group. And I'm also the publisher of Pooler magazine and Effingham magazine in south Georgia. So the purpose of this podcast is for us to really delve into what it's like to start and run a business, um, from an entrepreneur's perspective, um, how to, how to effectively use marketing to promote your business. Marketing can be very, very overwhelming for a lot of business owners or entrepreneurs. Um, in my many, many years of working in marketing and working with so many different types of clients, the one common theme is people are just kind of overwhelmed by all of the different choices in terms of marketing their businesses. And it is just, you know, what's going to work specifically for your business and to attract the ideal customer, um, to your type of business. Uh, if you just think about social media, for instance, we have so many different platforms to choose from. And then within the platforms, there are, you know, sub platforms. So for instance, Instagram, you have posts and you have, um, the stories and reels, and then you have Instagram TV. And then we have the introduction of tick-tock, um, several years ago. And you know, how do you use that? It's wonderful if you have a video go viral, but even if it goes viral, is it attracting more customers to your, you know, brick and mortar business or your online business or your service business. So there's a thousand other ways to communicate and to reach your audiences and it's become harder and harder, you know, to capture their attention in this really noisy environment. So hopefully in this podcast, what we're going to do is offer you some tips and resources to help you grow your business. And then we're going to interview some successful business owners who have, you know, they're on their way up or they've succeeded. And we learn from them and we're going to learn all of the different ways that they navigate through, um, the challenges that we have in today's markets. So stay tuned, we're going to have great information, great interviews with interesting people, and we're going to learn from each other and support each other and help grow our businesses. Our business is to help grow your business. And that's what we're here for. So stay tuned. It's going to be really fun.
