Runners are the best storytellers. On The Runs podcast features running narratives from the
best of those storytellers. Whether hearing from a runner who started a year ago or 50 years ago, the
conversation is engaging, funny, and enlightening. Guest stories range from struggles to
outstanding achievements and everything in between … including “Code Brown” tales. “Code

In this episode, we welcome Becs Gentry to the pod! (00:08:45) An ultra marathoner and Peloton instructor, we get to know Becs background, her love for Formula One racing, and her journey into the fitness industry. Becs shares her experiences growing up in the UK, her involvement in various sports, and her transition from a career in PR to becoming a personal trainer. We also delve into Becs passion for trail running and ultra marathons, including her first race and her participation in the Speed Project race. She also shares memorable moments from her participation in the Speed Project and talks about her bucket list races. She discusses the camaraderie and fun behind the scenes at Peloton, as well as her experience working during the COVID-19 pandemic. We hear about the challenges of international travel and the contrasting restrictions in London and New York during Covid as well reflected on the mental battle she faced during the British Olympic Trials and the support she received. The conversation concludes with rapid-fire questions, appreciation for the Bec Beast community, and future goals.
