Rethinking Midlife As Initiation

Rose

What if midlife isn't a crisis to survive, but a sacred initiation to step into? Today's guest helps women understand the astrology of awakening and why everything falling apart might actually be the universe, calling you home to yourself.

Meet Raina And Her Midlife Focus

Rose

Welcome to Chat Off The Mat, where we explore energy and empowerment for women. I'm your host, Rose Wippich. Today I'm talking with Raina Elkins, an astrologer, coach, and healer who specializes in midlife transitions. Raina works with women navigating those destabilizing years when relationships shift, identities crack open, and the life you built suddenly doesn't fit anymore. She blends astrology with coaching and healing to help women understand the major transits of midlife, particularly Saturn and Uranus, not as breakdowns, but as initiations into deeper truth and alignment. She also works with Sabian symbols to add profound layers of meaning to these transitions. So if you've ever felt disoriented, disenchanted, or called to something more in midlife, this conversation will help you understand what's actually unfolding and how to move from self-abandonment into self-honoring. Welcome, Raina. Thanks for being here today. Thank you, Rose. I'm so happy to be here. So just a little background. I just want to uh mention that I met Raina when I was taking an astrology course recently, and she came on as a guest speaker to talk about Sabian symbols, which we will discuss in the show. And I was very intrigued about this topic of Sabian symbols. And I had a reading with you, Raina, and it was amazing and very enlightening and eye-opening, and I loved it. And I asked her to be on so that she could share more about the topic, but also her work with uh women in during midlife and beyond, or anyone actually in any phase of their life, right? Yep. So let's tell the audience uh more about you, Raina.

Raina

Yeah, um I have studied astrology all of my life. Before I called myself an astrologer, I always said I was an astrology enthusiast. I just love it. It's my passion and it's a language for me. It's how I speak to the universe and connect with myself. And I think it's just the most amazing tool that we have available

What Sabian Symbols Really Are

Raina

to us.

Rose

Yeah. So you've studied astrology for a long time, but you specialize in or you I guess not specialize, because you specialize in all astrology, right? But you talk about Sabian symbols or you work with Sabian symbols. Can you talk a little bit about what those are? And we'll talk more about it as we go along with the show, but just off the bat, since I already mentioned it, maybe we can I think it's the core of my work, I would say.

Raina

Um some astrologers use the Sabian symbols and some don't. Um, it's just completely individual. Um and for me, the symbols add this much deeper layer to astrology. So what they are, there's 360 degrees in a circle. So there's 360 symbols that we use in astrology. They're essentially to me how the soul communicates and how we can communicate with our soul on a deeper level. Um they a little bit of history is they an astrologer came up with them in um 1925. The ones that I'm that was Mark Edmund Jones. And um he and a clairvoyant came up with these 360 symbols. The way I work with them is um I know those, that version of those symbols, and my astrology teacher and mentor has made revision, a revision of those 360 symbols. So I work with her symbols, um, and that's what's particular. That's my focus and astrology in general, are these symbols. Yeah.

Rose

Um can you just give us an example of a symbol? Now I know that you work with a a new astrologer. You didn't mention her name, but just Ruth. Yep. Right. Um, I'm sorry, what is her name again? Endaruth. And she's kind of modernized some of these symbols, right?

Raina

I think they're a bit more modern, they're a bit more timeless, actually, to me. The ones that the originals from 1925 held a lot of meaning, but like one was just called a cafeteria. So a cafeteria means something completely different in 1925 than it may mean to us now. So her symbols are a bit more broad, a bit more soul connected and more timeless. An example of hers is New Hope Appears Like a Shining Beacon on the Hill. Okay. So if that's somebody's moon, a new hope appears like a shining beacon on a hill, right? You can really go into that with them and unpack that with them about how they connect with that symbol, what that means to them, how they see it, how you know what what it feels like for them. That's the word.

Rose

And and how do you determine? So, so I'm glad you clarified that what a symbol is, because a symbol could be many things. It could be like a a graphic design, for example. So it's really some uh a few words or a phrase, right? That make up what the meaning of is it a planet in a certain part of a person's chart? Like, how would you go about what is the process, let's say, determining what the symbols are for a person?

Raina

So each the 360, each symbol is connected to a degree.

From Natal Charts To Solar Returns

Raina

So you have when we did your chart, we looked at your sun degree and we looked at the symbol that's connected to that sun degree. And that gives you, you can think of the symbol as like a doorway that you're opening to a part of yourself. So we would talk about it as your sun or your moon. So we would have the context of that, but that symbol itself is always connected to, you know, 12 Scorpio, whatever the actual degree is.

Rose

Right, right. Okay. So this is giving you, for everybody listening, astrology is not just some high-level paragraph, right? A characteristic, an overall general character characteristic for let's say Aquarian or Scorpio. We're talking about more specific to a person's sign and degree. Like a degree is like the time, right? So a degree is like a time, right? So on that time, that's the symbol associated with it. So it gives a really clear picture. You can really kind of almost read about a person, like a tells a story. Yeah.

Raina

Right. So think about it, like we're all living our own myth, our own story. And when you get to look at your chart through that lens, you get this whole picture of your journey, of your lifetime, of what you're going through, where you are now in your story. Um, it's amazing.

Rose

So you so it is. And I and I we should have read mine before I come up here because I was like, okay, I've tried to remember it, but now it's a lot of it's coming back. So you can use this as a way of interpreting a person's natal chart, which is when they're born, right? So and then you can also so so and then you can also use it for a solar return. So you want to talk about what the differences are between the two so people are clear. Okay.

Raina

Yeah. Everybody, so when you're born, you're born at a certain time. When you book a reading, you always want to have your exact time from your birth certificate. If you don't have your exact time, there's things you can do around it. Find out if it was the morning or the afternoon or the evening, because the exact time is going to give you the most exact map, obviously, um, of your birth chart. Your birth chart is essentially the minute you were born on the day, time, and place, it's a snapshot of the sky. It's a picture of the sky. It stops everything. And then that's the map that you read for the rest of your life. That's your your natal chart, your birth chart. Your solar return is every year on your birthday, the sun goes to the exact degree that it was when you were born. It could be like 13 degrees in 34 seconds. And we go to that so 2026, we'll go to where the sun gets to that exact degree. We take another snapshot, and that speaks to you about your year ahead. Okay, that's the difference. So you can every year essentially get a new chart to understand what your curriculum is this year, what you're working, what you're learning, what areas of your life are highlighted. Right. And you don't have to do any other Yeah.

Rose

It's so so a solar return chart. I mean, you don't have to do it like on the day of your birthday, you could do it if your birthday's in two months. You know, someone can say, I want to learn more about what is going to happen in that year from the time of my birthday.

Raina

Absolutely. You can look at it at any time and it's gonna give you information. And I mean, you had a reading, so you can speak to that. But I think it really helps give us, you know, a context uh for for what we're doing. It just helps astrology to me is very grounding.

Rose

You know, it really can show val it and it's validated. Like you you can see what you're like, oh, this is why this is happening. I get it, because of the, you know, I always said it's like a sci- it's uh it's a science. People think it's very woo-woo, but it's not because because it's very exact. Yeah. Right? Yeah, yeah. So yeah, so it's so it really can help you determine like almost like a life path, or if you're on the on the right path, maybe not be able to tell you exactly what to expect, but it does work with like every planet has a characteristic, right? And every every house that those planets are in when you're born have characteristics. So when you combine that and you read those charts, which still to me is a little crazy, like confusing to me, but not to you. You can see what that roadmap is.

Raina

Yeah. Yeah, there's a lot of layers, like you're saying, there's the house and the planet and the sign it's in, right? So you're you're weaving. That's to me, astrology is a lot of weaving. And then you're bringing in the symbol.

Using Astrology To Navigate Change

Raina

And again, it goes back to telling a story. It's like living your myth. And how do you do that? I love that.

Rose

So you use a lot of these tools or the these tools, the astrology, not just the Sabian symbols, but but all of that, to help people, right? So I know you work a lot with women in midlife. And how do you help? So maybe walk us through uh an example on, or maybe someone you've worked with on how something like this can help a woman or someone or anybody actually. It doesn't have to be a woman, going through like one portal, one transition to another in their life, and how can this help them or guide them through that?

Raina

Yeah, the way I think about it, so astrology can help us understand essentially when something's happening, um, when a change is happening, why it's happening. It can show us, like, oh, well, Saturn is here and Uranus is here, and this is what's going on for you. So it gives us that context. Um, but beyond that, I I wanted to really learn how to work with it in a practical way. Um so through coaching work and healing work, what I do essentially, it's like, how can I help? How can I support someone staying with the experience instead of fighting it, resisting it? You know, it's hard. You know, we don't when change happens, it's difficult. When you're waking up to something, it's not easy, right? And so you can see it on a bunch of different levels, right? If you're midlife, there's a bunch happening. This is the unknown, right?

Rose

Yeah. Yeah. People don't they they want to do something different and maybe they don't know what's what they want to do, right? So that's I hear that a lot. Women are like, I want to know what I what my next thing is. It's like the big mysteries, the mystery box. Yeah. Like, what am I doing? Right. And I have to tell you, and when you do astrology in some of these readings, and then you in retrospect, you're like, oh, that makes sense. This is why I'm doing what I'm doing, right? And with what you can do is help them to kind of see what's ahead. Like where their focus can be somewhat, maybe. Absolutely.

Raina

You know, what is it asking of you? Where do you not feel expressed? Because it wants to help you express yourself. Where do you feel like cut off, like you're not fulfilled? Because your chart wants you to be fulfilled, right? So that's essentially what we're looking at. But how do you do that if you're, you know, you've already created a life and now you're kind of like, this is feeling off? Well, that's okay. And it's not okay in our culture. A lot of times we want to push through, right? Um, but the the medicine really is to pause and to look at what's happening and and look at what's being asked of us and what want to shift and letting ourselves awaken to that.

Rose

Right, right, right. And seeing, I don't oftentimes when I've had readings, it's like the astrologers share what houses are highlighted, and each house could mean something. Like I'll give an example. This last year, and I didn't know this at the time because I I didn't know about as much about astrology or how to read it. Last year was a time of me to write and publish and communicate. Well, I was doing all that, but I didn't know that. That that was the astrology symbols and the energy happening just for me, just for Rose, born on that day, that time, and all that, that year. And I was like, wow, this is really cool. So that gives me like a little extra tool to help me figure out what's on the horizon this year. So you're not forcing through something, you're kind of like working with the energy of what's supposed to be, right? Okay, exactly.

Raina

And you were already working with it because you were already hearing to write and you were already doing it. Yeah. I was already. Yeah. And then you see, you get the information from the chart that that's what you're, you know, what's being asked of you or what's really supporting you. And great. Like, so what did that give you? Like more reassurance or more confidence, or like, oh, I, you know, was it did it help you ground and center? Like, this is what I'm supposed to be doing.

Rose

Right. It helped me to to realize that that was when I was supposed to write the book, because for years I was saying, I'm gonna write a book, I'm gonna write a book. And then I kept asking myself, well, how come I haven't written this book yet? It was at the right time and the right concept or topic or whatever it is. So so I was like, oh, it's very it was very comforting, right? And very validating, right? So it made me realize like I can kind of almost predict in a way what's happening. So this is what you can help uncover for people who come to you and they're they're going through some kind of midlife crisis, right? Um and and a lot of times women who are coming out of this midlife, they've lived a whole different life, dictated by a whole different kind of environment, whether it was kids or work or whatever. And now they're they they they

Saturn Returns, Oppositions, And Lessons

Rose

want to do something different. And this reading that you do can help them, right? Yep. You also include Saturn. So you mentioned something about Saturn. Saturn is a key player in kind of what what happens in people's lives. Can you talk a little bit more about that? It's Saturn.

Raina

I talk about Saturn a lot. So Saturn, we when we're 30, we have a Saturn return, it's called. We have one at 30 and one at 60. But that's not all. Saturn, I mean, you can track Saturn through your chart.

Rose

Whereas What does a Saturn return mean? Just if you back up, a lot of people may not know that what that means. Sorry to interrupt you, but oh, you're fine.

Raina

So Saturn return happens when we turn, it's like 28 to 30, and we're kind of it's the first time we're being asked to take responsibility. Saturn, you can equate with responsibility. So what that means, you know, you can really go into responsibility. It's a keyword. So we have that at 30. And so a lot of people sometimes people get married around 30, buy a house around 30, you know, they step into some kind of like new adulthood. Okay. So that's our Saturn return. And and it's different for everyone, but these are just kind of general themes. Um when you the midlife transits happen about uh 35 to 53. It's a long time. And you have a bunch of different different transits that you go through. Um, and Saturn, you know, shows up then you have a Saturn opposition in your phase. And that's when, you know, you're really being asked to kind of step into your power in a new way. That's part of it. A lot of different planets are involved in in these transits during midlife. Why did Saturn stand out to you? You've studied astrology now, so I'm curious.

Rose

Well, I know when I was 29, actually my mom passed away. Well, it was a couple years before 29. So it was at a time when um there were some ch changes for me. I had to kind of deal with that and move beyond that. Took on more responsibilities, um big job. So that happened then. Um so yeah, so but the because it and I I and I was aware of it. So I was I knew enough about astrology that that was a big time.

Raina

Yeah.

Rose

For me. And then when I turned 60, that's the other Saturn returns. So it it returns to the place where it was when you were born, right? Exactly. Yeah. So then at 60, I don't know, I started the, you know, did more work with the podcast and just started really revving up this part of uh my another power, you know, another coming into your own power in a way, taking on more responsibility.

Raina

And becoming an authority, I think, too, is is part of it at sixty.

Rose

Yeah, yeah, right. Coming wiser, right. Really, really owning that Empress energy that I'm writing about. I wasn't I wasn't aware that. See, so I've always heard about the Saturn return, but you just taught me something new, and maybe I've heard it, but you know, maybe I just forgot about it. But you have the opposition. So the midlife transitions for anyone out there, you're talking in astrology, midlife transitions happen between 35 and 53, which is about midlife. And we in that time frame, you have all this astrology that can happen that can pull you in all these directions, right? Like the opposition.

Raina

Yep. So what happens? Your opposition, you're being asked to face everything that you've learned. What do you want to do with it now? Okay, and opposition means they're opposite. So whatever there's an opposition, there's something that you want to face about yourself. And so it could be, I don't like just life. I don't like what I'm doing for work, I don't like this, or I want more of this. And if you can really sit down and meet it, it's an amazing opportunity to to make a shift and to start to change things, to do things differently in a way that feels more aligned with you now, with who you are now. I love that. So it's like a recipe just for that person. Exactly. So when you have a reading, you get to look at what's the symbol, what's your, you know, what's your Saturn say when you were born? What is it saying across from you? What's the conversation between you and this planet, you and this energy? And I can hold space while you have that conversation to help inform how you want to move forward.

Rose

Right. And you can also figure out, like, okay, so let's say someone's 35 when they come to you and they're starting to think about I need to make changes because my life is really like crappy right now, right? And then you can say, well, you know, here's the plan. Five years from now, this is what I'm seeing. And so maybe this is something to consider, right? So I love that. Yeah.

Raina

Yeah.

Rose

I mean, it's a really cool way to work with the planets. Yeah. And these symbols that you were mentioning. So you mentioned one which I totally forgot because I know they're pretty long, but they shed light. So each one has a story associated with it. And they can you also kind of interweave those stories into the chart readings or the readings that you do with people.

Raina

Yes, yeah. And you can, you know, once your reading is complete, these symbols, so say you get, I don't know, you know, 15 symbols. We go through the basic planets in your chart. You leave the reading with 15 symbols. You have these symbols now for the rest of your life. So you have these 15 little doorways that you can, you know, bring into your awareness whenever you need, whenever you want. So my clients will hang them on their fridge or put them up in their bathroom or um put them in their in their altar and just whatever one is calling to them, they'll sit with that, you know, they'll bring it into their meditation, or they'll just have a conversation with it, or just, you know, visualize it. They're images, right? They're images that you can go into and explore and kind of dream into. So there's so much you can do with them in terms of how to connect with. them and essentially connect to a deeper part of yourself is how I see it.

Rose

Uh I like that putting them

Uranus Opposition And Liberation

Rose

on the fridge. I'm gonna have to dig mine out. Okay. Oh yeah. So you teach something so is this related to what you call symbolic living? And is that like okay, so you so so it all falls under this realm of of teachings or guidance or coaching that you do. I want to talk a little bit about the topic of self-abandonment. It's something that I've heard about two or three times this week alone. You talk about self moving from self-abandonment to self-honoring. What does self-abandonment look like for anybody you know the high achieving woman to even the the mom at home with two kids or three kids or or someone that you know is is living a certain phase of their life. What does that what does that mean? How do you describe that?

Raina

Yeah I think what what happens is I think we do a lot of self-abandonment just as people as um going through life learning how to be in relationships. There's a lot of times that we can um you know kind of learn to hide ourselves or or say that's not so important or you know it it's I need to care for them and whatever it is. That's the self-abandonment. I think what happens as we as we age in my experience our tolerance for that shifts and we need to to learn how to do it in a way that's more kinder to ourselves, that's more balanced. Yes, we're in relationship with people, but how can we show up fully ourselves not, you know, cutting part of ourselves off or say, you know, dismissing what we need that that I think is a huge conversation. And I think that's a big part of the midlife transit is that's why it's so important to connect back to your soul because I think a lot of the self-abandonment can help they can cut us off from that we stop listening to ourselves we start overriding ourselves because we need to do different things for work or for our families for our home for whatever it is.

Rose

We pull away from what what the universe is is guiding us towards we're almost resisting that right um yeah I I love the way you explain that it it's just I I think you're right and we we do that in a lot of ways. I I think it's just the first time I'm really hearing it a lot lately the term and when a woman stops abandoning herself to meet expectations what happens then like is it more we're more in align with like what we need to do what our soul's calling is like you were saying earlier.

Raina

Yeah that's what I think I mean that's the whole purpose and this is just anybody in general like we want to align with the deeper part of ourselves right we can tell when we're not aligned and it we don't feel balanced and we don't feel good. And so there's a lot of ways to get into balance and there's a lot of levels we can do it physically and energetically and emotionally but from an astrological standpoint when you know your chart when you know your symbols you're connected with your soul like to me that's the greatest motivator you know when you can start to feel that and you hear the symbols you know there's 360 symbols you only get like 15 of them you go through them and they all resonate right and they all become deeply meaningful to you you can start to see this bigger picture right that like I am unique and I do have this blueprint and I do want to take care of that while I'm here and I do want to connect with that while I'm here. And have a family and have a career you know whatever we want to do but but this this is a way to come back to ourselves.

Rose

Yeah I I I it's interesting because I'm going to take this this time frame of 35 to 53 and kind of figure out what happened during a lot of things happened during that for me and how it relates to the symbols. Like I had my children at 41. So that falls right in midlife when people are basically kind of coming out of that and I just jumped right in. So but maybe that was my story with twins. But that was my story, you know.

Raina

Yeah totally yeah and I mean and that's amazing and these transits aren't bad there's no good or bad in astrology you're just looking at what wants to live through you what wants to get your attention what wants to connect with you. So yeah it can be you know whatever happens whatever happens um and and you also talk about you know we didn't talk about Uranus another big planet that influences us in many ways.

Rose

Can you talk a little bit about we we all heard hear about it but a lot of people don't know what it does.

Raina

Yeah definitely Uranus we have something that's called a Uranus opposition and this happened around in our 40s early 40s the Uranus opposition is pretty fun well that might be it was not that fun when I was in it but I'll tell you it's a little bit Uranus is like kind of the he's the planet he's like a rebel. So we get this kind of like you have this energy it's a it's a liberation energy it wants freedom okay it wants freedom and it wants authenticity. So that's what comes up during that opposition it's like 41 to 43 uh age range

Practical Coaching: Pause Before Big Moves

Raina

midlife crisis yep it's the token midlife crisis yep I call it the midlife awakening I like that better um but it is it's a liberation point and I it was difficult in one sense because you you're really like everything you've been doing that you don't like doing you start to undo you really get the energy to be like I'm not doing it anymore I don't care um I don't want to do that it doesn't fit me then I'm not gonna do that. So and it's a two year transit and you know it's it's people know you a certain way and you're kind of coming out and saying I actually don't want to be that way. And it's good and it's necessary right and we've learned a lot by 42. There's a lot that we know now. We've had experiences so you do know yourself a little bit better. So I think it's an important transit. It was my favorite one.

Rose

Oh okay so so but isn't Uranus like the the lesson like you learn lessons is that the planet that you're or is that that's Saturn. That's Saturn. Okay so Saturn Saturn is Saturn is consequences and lessons.

Raina

Uh okay and you can go through your whole life and say what was I what am I here to learn? What am I what's the lesson? You know I think that's always a good question. That's why I always talk about Saturn because I think he's really important in terms of our embodiment on this earth. But yeah. So Uranus is more like who am I without my conditioning? Who would I be without how I was brought up to think that I need to be this way. You start to to think about that differently and say that.

Rose

At 42 is when it returns back to your sign. Uh for which one? For Uranus. No Uranus it's opposite. Oh I'm sorry opposite oh yes okay yeah it goes opposite your sign. Oh would be Leo for for me opposite my gotcha okay that makes sense. And you know people should also understand that you said that it's in a sign every two years it changes. So you know I I don't know where it is right now but you know it'll then change. So those characteristics also can influence right because the plant absolutely stage right so that's it's always changing and evolving but there's still that kind of that core of who you are based on when you were born once again your blueprint I love that you say I love that um and you work from that exactly yep and and see it in the context of your chart.

That's why like this is all a bit general you know it all matters when you look at the chart your moon could be next to your Uranus you know which is gonna like completely infuse it with a different layer. So that's fun to get your chart read. And like you said all of the planets Uranus Neptune Pluto Saturn have all shifted a sign. That's why 2026 is such a huge year. It doesn't happen. These planets are in these signs for you know 10 years, 15 years. And so the fact that they're all changing 20 years the fact that they're all changing at the same time like I don't even know what to do.

Rose

It's big yeah this is a big yeah yeah yeah so I guess we'll have to see but you know you're talking about Uranus being the freedom and liberation maybe a lot of people think that they need to go through a divorce at that time when actually they don't they need to just kind of work a little bit on themselves and you know I I I I feel that it's a time to do a lot of shadow work. Yep during that 42 when you feel like leaving you actually need to stay put, kind of figure out what's wrong. Absolutely.

Raina

So I do like a coaching program with people and that that's exactly the first session it's like don't break up with anybody don't move don't go anywhere don't quit your job the impulses will be

Relationship And Composite Charts

Raina

there because we want to change the external so bad. But if you can stay in it and be in it and hold yourself there and just connect with yourself that's a completely different method. That's a more conscious way of approaching the midlife um the in is as opposed to like the escaping and you know the stereotypical things.

Rose

So so your coaching helps to integrate some of that those the practices of the astrology with like well what's happening in your life right now and but don't make any rash decisions because you know let's figure it out from a different perspective right I love that. That makes so much sense now that we you know like I've never had this conversation with anyone and to talk about it from an astrolog astrological perspective on the planet and the opposition and the Saturn's like okay you know unfortunately you know I can't go back and change some things but that's okay. But you know for listeners out there that are not yet at these ages too I think it's a you know you're you're you can show up prepared.

Raina

Absolutely and I think it's really healing. A lot of my clients are in their you know 60s 70s and what we do is look back at their at what transits were happening at 40 or at 50 or at different difficult times in their life. And that itself is so healing to know that like oh Neptune was that was in a sense destined because this had to happen right like and you can see that in the chart as well and I think that's really special to be able to to do like a reflective astrology like that.

Rose

Do you work with couples and do you ever do like relationship type of uh readings? Yep I love relationship readings.

Raina

How fun yeah there's nothing better to talk about than our crushes and our relationships I generally only see one person. So I do their natal chart and then I'll look at their natal chart with their partners and then they can do a joint session if they want. Again so healing just to have like basic understanding of like this is your moon and this is his moon or her moon and this part's tricky but you can still you can work with it once you're aware of what is going on and what these dynamics are and nobody's like trying to hurt anybody it's just our natural ways and we can like bring acceptance to that and to the to each other. I mean there's nothing better. I think every couple should have their chart right I agree with you.

Rose

I I if I I well even if somebody is not a believer and most I don't I know speaking personally my husband but um even though I talk to him like this is why this is happening and this is why you're the way you are I think having a session like this is like a relationship counseling. Oh yeah because you have a better understanding of the other person. Yeah yeah I think it's so special.

Raina

Can you also figure out um like their journey like if yes so you have two charts so we will look at your chart and your husband's chart and we can see different things but then there's a way to take the two charts and combine them and make a third chart and then the third chart is the chart of the relationship. So then you guys have your own map together that you're working so you can know that this is your moon and know that this is your moon but this is the moon of the relationship between you guys. And how do you take care of that? And what does that what do you need? What does the relationship need?

Rose

That you can get information about that I never knew that what are the gifts it's all there oh my god you know and you lit up when you talked about that because you're like oh you you're just what it comes together and you can create one chart and there's a moon for the chart of like what wow yeah that's relationship we're in relationship with everything in the world right so of course I mean it's just it's it's it's it's easy and it's you know you can see it when you have another person. And you know if you have okay so you have the relate you have your your personal chart you can help people with relationship charts, right? Like husband, partner, whatever. But then you have children you have your children who are let's say like my kids who are you know just going to graduate college what is their journey going to be like and you can use a chart to help with that as well.

Symbolic Living And Self‑Honoring

Rose

Absolutely or understand that.

Raina

Wow just to help guide just to and it's not it's it's not set in a way of like this is going to happen and this is going to happen because you know we're creating all the time and we're we have choices and but it can definitely give you a context or show you where your growth is show you why you're drawn to to certain things. You know there's so much of us I think that we repress we don't even know why we do it. We just do it because somebody said this to me when I was five you know and and then we just keep it and we live with it. And then these transits kind of wake us up and they're like actually I don't want to do that you know and it's hard to wake up to that. But when you wake up to what you actually do love and you like give yourself permission to to follow what you do really love and to start exploring that that in itself I think is so healing.

Rose

That is I love that that was great. Actually that's that that that's overall like top reason to get these readings done. I know for me personally it's been really healing because I've been able to understand a lot of what's happening and I and it's it's just been healing and also help to guide what I need to do next. Yeah. I love that yeah so talk a little bit more about well you you talked about your coaching if there's anything else that you want to add here and and um maybe any closing thoughts or where listeners can connect with you just you have the floor to sure yeah I I mean I always I think the readings are really important to be able to build that connection with yourself and with your soul.

Raina

And I think the coaching and the healing really help to integrate it. So you can really embody it. I just want to say that I think it can become really mental and abstract and it can be fun but that's not helpful for me. For me it's it's helpful to to integrate it. So I just want to stress that um and there's a million ways to do that I think but my way is through this healing work. Um and yeah I think I think there's a new astrology that's coming through I think it's less about prediction I think it's for me more about being present with where you are and with what's happening. And I think I just like to express that. To me it feels like like we've been saying more healing more prescriptive and less predictive. But I have a website it's rainaelkins.com and I'll send I I'll set up a code for anyone listening um if they want a reading so that they can get um a bit of a discount for a reading.

Rose

Thank you that is very generous of you and I highly recommend that people get a reading with Raina because it really is eye-opening and it's different really is different from other astrology readings that I've had solar return because you do work with the symbol so it like you said it just adds an extra layer and it's it's really kind of validating and and nice to have. So thank you for that generous gift. It's been a wonderful getting to know you on this journey and to learn from you to have you here on on the podcast. So I'm really grateful for your time here Rena and I recommend everyone check out Rainna's website I'll put everything in the show notes as well and uh thank you again thank
