The Drops In Your Stress Bucket
At the root of a health imbalance is some type of compensation by the body triggered by a stressor. Now stressors are not always bad, and some stress is incredible important for a well rounded life (in our opinion) and achieving your goals.
Chronic long term and repeated stressors is where we run into issues because the stress response never has a chance to fully turn off. The body continues to compensate, altering appropriate cortisol secretion and affecting end-organ function.
This is why we need to evaluate what is going into your stress bucket, what is within your control and start taking action to lower the burden and increase resiliency in order to heal.
