A Gluten Free Podcast
Episode 32

My guest on today’s podcast is Alex Mangano, author and illustrator of Jack The Silly-Yak. We’ll talk about her coeliac and other autoimmune diagnoses, creating Jack The Silly-Yak and her recent trip to Canberra as part of the ABC Heywire Trailblazer competition.

Alex has been performing, directing and creating theatre and music experiences in Newcastle for 14 years and has seen how performance can enhance and enrich lives. At 13 she was diagnosed with three chronic autoimmune conditions and found her strength, passion and drive through creativity and connecting to her wider community.
