In this powerful conversation, Wendy welcomes back Cleo Childs, and together they dive into the transformative power of telling the untold stories of women. By sharing these stories, she hopes to help release the weight of shame women carry, as well as the deep-rooted conditioning that tells us to be quiet, gentle, and likable above all else. Cleo shares the importance of reclaiming our own experiences, and why the first person to speak up makes it easier for those who follow. She also reads a poignant poem from her latest work, offering a glimpse into the raw honesty and healing that comes with telling our stories—without apology. If you’ve ever felt the pull to own your truth but feared what others might think, this episode is your reminder: you are worthy of sharing your experience, simply because it’s yours.
About Cleo:
Cleo Childs is a spoken word poet who released her poetry album "Moving With" in 2024. This album is the culmination of two and a half years of writing about the journey of grief she experienced after losing her mom to Alzheimer's when she was 28 years old. In 2025, she plans to release her next album that highlights the often untold, yet universal stories of women. For speaking engagements, workshops, and group sessions, she is available and invites further exploration of her and her project on her website.
