Oprah Winfrey says, Change Your Thoughts to change your feelings. This episode is dedicated to the concept of being in control of your thoughts. This is applicable to avoid over-eating, managing stress, and swatting away every negative and destructive thought. To be replaced by positive thoughts.
For example, if a thought arises, ' Oh my God look at the traffic I will be stuck here for hours.'
One could replace that thought with, 'There is traffic up ahead. However, there is small delay which will clear up shortly.'
One could tell themselves, ' I can never lose weight. I try and it won't work.'
One could replace that thought with, 'I haven't done as much as I should to lose weight. I will change behaviors that I can modify and improve to lose weight.'
