Hey everyone. Welcome back to the Booster Metabolism Podcast. I'm Janine, and we're so glad that you're here today. If you're new to this podcast, this is a podcast where we talk about real life strategies to help you juggle it all, your health, fitness, career, life in general, And if you've been listening for a while, welcome back. We appreciate you so much, and we're glad that you are here. So today's topic is a fun one. I'm excited about this. We're piggybacking on last week's episode where we talked about using AI or chat, GPT to help you with your nutrition. This week we're using chat, GBT, or AI to help you write workouts. Now, don't worry, this isn't gonna be. Tech heavy or confusing? I'll just walk you through how I personally use chat, GBT, how you can try it and where it fits into a busy lifestyle like yours. All right, so let me ask you something. How many times have you wanted to work out, but the hardest part was simply deciding what to do. You've got 45 minutes carved out in your day. You've finally made it to your garage gym, or maybe you squeeze in a trip to the gym between drop offs and meetings, but then you stand there thinking, okay. So what should I lift? Should I do cardio? Do I just stretch? And by the time you decide, half your workout window is gone. That's called decision fatigue. And I see it all the time with my clients. And honestly, I've been there too myself many times. As driven, busy people, our brains are always making a million decisions every single day and we certainly don't need one more. I know I don't. That's why chat GBT can be such a handy tool and I think I like to think of it as your brainstorming buddy. So here's the deal. I would say chat, GBT can create workouts for you based on whatever you tell it. The cool thing is that it's fast, flexible and works with whatever equipment you've got. So let me give you an example real quick. Let's say you only have dumbbells at home and 20 minutes before your kids come busting into the living room, you can literally type into chat GBT. Write me a 20 minute full body workout using dumbbells only, and just like that, boom, you'll get a workout sets, reps, and movements. You can start on right away. Here's maybe another example and something that I have certainly done. Maybe you're traveling for work and all you've got is your body weight. You could ask it. Give me a 30 minute hotel room workout body weight only focused on legs and core. It's like having a little assistant who spits out ideas so you don't waste time scrolling on Instagram or Pinterest for something random. I go crazy doing that. So let's talk about how to really maximize using chat GBT. The trick with it is that the better your instructions, the better the workout you'll get. And this is a tactic that we call prompting. So you always wanna prompt chat GBT properly, and this does take some practice, but let me give you some ideas. Instead of typing, give me a workout, which is very vague. You wanna be specific, so you wanna tell it how much time you have, tell it what equipment you have, and make sure to include what body part or goal you wanna focus on. So here's a few sample prompts that you may try out. Create a four day workout split, focusing on glutes and abs using dumbbells only. Or you may say, make a quick 15 minute hit workout I can do in my living room with no equipment. Or you might also say, write me a beginner friendly full body strength workout I can do at the gym. It's like giving GPS directions. The clearer you are, the better it gets you where you wanna go. Now I'm going to have to pause here for just a second because I want to be clear about something. Is chat, GPT amazing for quick workouts and inspiration? Yes, absolutely. I use it all the time, but is it a replacement for real coaching? Absolutely not. And here's why. Chat, GPT doesn't know your form. It doesn't know you've had a knee injury, or if you're brand new to lifting and you're ready to push heavier your weights, it doesn't know your progress Over time, and let's be honest, progression is what actually changes your body. You've probably heard us talk about this many times before on this podcast, so what I would encourage you to do is think of chat, GPT workouts, like fitness, fast food. They're quick, they get the job done, and they're fine once in a while, but long-term results, that comes from more of a structured plan, accountability and progression, which is exactly why I coach with Couture Fitness. I do wanna share just a story from my own personal experience. I travel for work sometimes and I've been doing it a lot more frequently, but when I don't always wanna stick to my regular lifting program. Sometimes that's because of travel fatigue. Sometimes it's just the timing of when I'm traveling during the week. And so sometimes I just want something quick and simple that I can knock out in my hotel room. The last time that I was traveling, I took Chat, GPT, and I literally just typed. Create a 20 minute hotel room workout that mixes cardio and core. It was a rest day, but I just needed some movement before I started my day. It gave me things like mountain climbers, squats. Different plank variations in burpees. Was it the most groundbreaking workout I've ever done before? Absolutely not. But it did get me moving. It was done in 20 minutes and I didn't waste my morning Googling hotel room workouts. It gave me exactly what I needed for that day and for what I was looking for. So here's my advice, if you wanna try this, use chat GPT when you're short on time, maybe when you're traveling for work or even for pleasure. And you can even use it when you just need a little bit of variety. Maybe you take a week and you just wanna decompress from your normal workout routine. I also would say don't overthink it. Even if the workout it gives you isn't perfect. Doing something is always better than doing nothing. And if you find something you love, save it. Keep a little chat, GPT Workout Bank in your notes app. I use my notes app all the time for things like this. But always come back to your long-term plan. Random workouts will not get you results. I just wanna say that one more time. Random workouts will not get you, that physique that you're looking for will not help you become more toned or build some muscle what you're looking for if you're really looking to change your physique and build some muscle. Become more toned. You need structured progressive training and that's where the Couture fitness coaching team and I can help you. So anyway, let's wrap it all up. Chat. GPT can be really fun. It can be a helpful tool to break through decision fatigue. It can keep things fresh. Make sure you don't waste time when life gets crazy, but it's not a coach. It's not going to track your progress. It's not going to keep you accountable or help you stay consistent. That's where programs like ours come in. If you're listening to this and thinking, yes, I want that structure, I want someone to take. The guess work off my plate, then I would love to chat with you. We'll put a link in the show notes where you can learn more about working with us. Okay, so that's all that I have for today's episode. If you found this helpful, do me a favor, share this with a friend who's busy, driven, maybe just needs a little push to try something new.
