Last year, I genuinely believed that there's nothing necessarily special about the new year. I thought that January 1st was just another day that we as humans had decided to make special, and it was simply an excuse to celebrate. Hello, hello, hello. Welcome or welcome back to this podcast. This is the Keep It Clean podcast, and I am your host, Nia, where we talk about keeping it clean, keeping your mind clean, keeping your body clean, keeping your spirit clean, keeping your conscience clean, keeping your friendships clean. I will say just beforehand, I'm a bit sick. Well, I'm not sick, I'm just a tad bit congested, and um yeah, so my voice doesn't sound the way it normally does. But regardless, we have to keep going with this new podcast episode because I was going through podcast stats and I realized that last year we only uploaded 14 episodes, and I'm supposed to be doing it weekly, so that should have been 52 episodes, but we didn't even do half of that. So this new year, this is gonna be a new me. It's gonna be a new us. We're gonna be doing so much better, we're gonna be more consistent, we're gonna be more disciplined, and yeah, we're just gonna be doing so many things better than we did last year. I will say that when I first recorded this episode, um, I remember thinking to myself, there's nothing necessarily special about the new year. So I recorded the episode with that mindset. And I mean, there's not anything necessarily wrong with that, but I know it's past the new year. Today's January 2nd when I'm recording this. And January, no, December 31st, going into January 1st, we were at my Reverend's place, right? And I'm talking to her and we decide to have like a prayer thing from 10 to 12, just making sure that we're setting the right tone for the year. And as I was in that room with a bunch of amazing women, men and women of God just praying, it hit me that a new year is a change of season, right? It's a chance to completely alter your mindset, to decide to become a new you, a better you. You can either decide to progress and accelerate or simply just stay where you are, remain stagnant, and at some point digress. So I think that's something I'm learning. A new year is an opportunity to change your mindset, to become a better you, to leave the things of last year in last year, to leave the things of the past in the past. And I really like that. And I now as I'm re-recording this episode, I'm going into it with that mindset. I've listened to so so many New Year's reset podcast episodes where it's like, this is what you have to do, this is what you're gonna need to do, you'll need to reflect, make sure your space is tidy, make sure you've taken a self-care shower, that your hair is clean, that your nails are done, that you've gotten for yourself like a gift just to celebrate yourself for the past year. And all those things are amazing. I'm not saying they're bad at all, but I think that there are more important things. In that I've always said this, and I will continue to say this till the day I die, we are spiritual beings inside physical bodies. So you cannot expect yourself to change until your inside, your true self is changed, until the spiritual side of you is changed, until the mental side of you is changed. When those two are changed, believe me, the physical will pick up, right? So I think that's what I really wanted to talk about in this New Year's reset modified kind of type of episode. So I know I'm uploading this a couple days after the New Year's, but honestly, honestly, um I think as I've already mentioned, the New Year is just a beautiful time, right? It's a change of season, you can change your mindset, you can become a different person. And I think my rule is that it's not fully the new year until you have said New Year, Happy New Year's as much as you possibly can. Like I will continue to say happy New Year's up until February, like mid-February, to someone I haven't seen that year. So, you know, as long as it's before that time, you can keep saying happy new years, you can have your New Year's reset, you can decide to change your mindset, to change your beliefs, you know. So whoop whoop. So let's start. First, as I've mentioned, I think that there's so many important things when it comes to planning your new year and just resetting for this new year. One of them being making sure that spiritually you are fine. And 2022 going into 2023, I remember that there were so many lies. Um, I'm always talking about what are they called? Underlying beliefs. There we go. I'm always saying those two words, and my friends are even teasing me at this point, but I'm always saying those two words, and I truly believe them. Those subconscious beliefs, those underlying beliefs can really impact you. And for a really long time, my mindset was that a new year was simply a time to change, right? A new year was an opportunity, it was an excuse to become perfect. And even when it set my new year's goals, I'd set them with the intention of perfection, not the intention of progress. So when I'd get to mid-the-year to mid-year and I am not perfect, I would get so mad. And I remember as I was reflecting on 2023, I told myself, Nia, you can find yourself to your vision board, you can find yourself to your mood board, you can find yourself to your goals, you can find God to your mood boards, to your vision board, to your goals. There's nothing necessarily wrong with them, honestly. There's nothing necessarily wrong with making a vision board, there's nothing necessarily wrong with making like a goal list or 2023 or 2024 goal list. The only thing that's wrong is when you begin to esteem them above all else. When you begin to believe that you are only successful if you accomplish those goals. Because success can look so different. Every single year, my definition of success is changing, right? In 2022, my definition of being successful was having a YouTube channel, and that didn't happen. Which is good because in that year, that's when I started the podcast, right? In 2023, my definition of success was reaching a certain level on the podcast and having a certain amount of streams, and yes, we got that. But if you ask me now, even more success means I am interviewing people from all around the world, I am interviewing people internationally, and I am able to have these conversations with people from different backgrounds, and we can share our ideas, our morals, our beliefs. That's what success is to me now. And I wish that 2023, 2022, going into 23me, knew that. Because when we confine ourselves, when we confine our purpose to a certain goal or a certain vision board, then what begins to happen is that we force ourselves not to step out of that, and sometimes we tend to make a vision board or a goal list based on what we're comfortable in. In 2023, none of my goals were to be part of a play, and I was part of a play. Right? If I'd confined myself to that, originally I hadn't even thought of additioning at first, because I was like, Well, you're not part of my goals. My mom and I were talking about it, and she's like, Nia, I know you, you're gonna love this. And I was like, Okay, it was one of the best experiences of my life, simply because I chose not to confine myself to what I thought success was at the moment, because as I've already mentioned, success is a definition that changes almost every single day. So don't ever plan. The purpose of planning is to provide you with guidelines, not to completely shape your reality. Honey, you are not God, and I have to keep reminding myself this: I do not have the power to completely affect everything around me. I cannot control everything around me, I cannot control the whole entire outcome of my life. I can control certain aspects of it, but I can't fully control it, and that's good. Because if I could fully control it, God knows it would be down in the dirt, it would not be doing anyone benefit. So as you're planning, make sure that your main objective is progress, not perfection. How can we plan for progress? I know I said that I didn't really like how um my vision board forced me to be just confined to this certain idea, but let's just start with just hear me out. Make a vision board, right? And this is where my catch is. Go on Pinterest, create a mood board, and put in a bunch of photos as detailed as you can possibly be and put them in the Pinterest board. And I remember for me, I got so detailed in 2023 going into 2024 that I was like, I want to hit 100 podcast episodes this year, and what will I do with that? There was this um pin where it was like happy 100 podcast episodes thing, and it was this like really aesthetic type of vibe, and I was like, okay, I'll put that on my mood board, right? And then I got so specific that there's this camp I want to enter into. I put in their logo. I don't know whether it was yesterday or the day before yesterday, I removed that logo. Because what if I don't get into that camp? I'll be fine. I don't want 2024 to be just like 2023. I do not want to confine myself to my definition of success that's not fully developed. So I was like, okay, I'll take out that um image, I'll take out that logo. Instead, I'll put in a bunch of pictures of camp, I'll put in a bunch of pictures of music. The music camp God sends me to will be the music camp God sends me to, and I will trust and believe that I am where I need to be. And that really helped me. There's nothing necessarily wrong with being specific. What's wrong with being okay, what is wrong is being overly specific. So if that makes sense, yep, that's what you want to do. So put it on Pinterest and then on top of that, I wish I was told this, make a vision board that is physical and a vision board that is digital and a vision board that is mental. And what do I mean by a vision board that is mental? I mean I do this every morning where after I wake up, I've done my devotion, I've done journaling. I'm just scrolling through Pinterest on my vision board. So I am once again imagining the life I am praying for and I am trusting and believing in the Lord for on Pinterest. Did I say Instagram the first time? I really hope I didn't, but yeah. So that's what I'm doing, and it's really helping me get into that headspace because immediately I'm scrolling through it. Then when I wake up, immediately my mind will start formulating, okay, so you want to play piano for this amount of time on these days for this long to learn these pieces and write these pieces and compose this, then how can we do that? And it's so interesting because now it's like I don't even have to think about playing piano, it just happens, and that's good because I'm getting my mind in that headspace, you know? And something else you can do, put it digitally, put it on your laptop, put it on your phone. The device you use the most, make sure that the vision board slash the wallpaper is the vision board, you know? The physical one is just for when you wake up. What is the first thing you see? When I wake up, the first thing I see is first my phone, because I need to turn off my alarm, so the vision board is there, and then I turn to my right bedside table and I pick up my Bible and the vision board is there too. Also, the vision board that's physical is so much more fun because it's like kind of crafting, you can change it up a bit, you can change the aesthetic, you can change the vibe. I really like that, so I definitely recommend having them both. There's nothing wrong with having one, but having them both is just like a step forward, if you get me. You know what? Actually, before we move on to the next thing, I think one thing I've never really necessarily loved about vision boards, and that's something I changed for this year's vision board, is that they always are so self-focused, self-centered, where it's like this is a life I want to live, this is what I want to accomplish, this is how I want to live, these are the friends I want to have, but it doesn't really focus as much on this is how I'm gonna treat my friends, this is how I'm gonna help others, this is how I am going to study, and this is how I'm going to um just make sure that the people around me are loved. I truly, truly believe, I'm not even gonna say I think, I truly believe that we as humans need to give, right? We need to be kind, and I think that's one of the reasons we tend to be happier when we give and when we're loving others and when we're helping others. So I think that's definitely something you want to add on to the vision board. For me, my love language, I guess, is cooking and baking. So I've I have like a bunch of cooking and baking pins on my vision board on my laptop, and then my vision board on Pinterest and my physical vision board. I think that really helps me because this is how I serve, this is how I give others, and it is in turn giving me energy. Next, this is something I have not heard enough people talk about honestly. Make a prayer board. Now, the vision board is good. The vision board isn't there's nothing necessarily bad with it. I think it's amazing, I think it's really good to help you visualize what is going on in your life, but you need an extra step, you need something to keep you going, and that is why I recommend the prayer board. So, what is a prayer board? It's like a vision board, except you have a couple envelopes, and then you write your prayers on like the same amount of sheets of paper as the envelopes, and then the envelopes each represent a different category. So for me, I have four envelopes, and the first one is work, the second one is spiritual, the third one is other, and the fourth one is family and friends. Every single piece of paper I have put inside the envelope is a prayer to do with that. So when I need to pray, I just simply take the things out of the envelope, and then on top of that, on the envelope, I have like a Bible verse just to back me up. So when I'm praying for that specific area of my life, I'm also looking at that Bible verse, and before I pray for it, I'm able to declare that over my life, which I think is taking things just a step further and making sure that yeah, your mind is in the right place, and your spirit, most importantly, is also in the right place. And I'm gonna give you guys just a little story. I had made my vision board like maybe two weeks before the end of 2023, and then I made my prayer board like December 31st, I kid you not. And then um, I think it was maybe January 1st, maybe the first, or was it today, when I needed to play piano, and it was something that was written down in my prayer board, and I'm like, Lord Jesus, I really don't want to, and I have no idea how I'm gonna go about this. So what happened was that I'm like, okay, Lord help me, help me play piano. And my friend texts me and he's like, We haven't talked in a while, and he's like, Nia, how's piano been going? Yo, what? And I found that to be so inspiring, right? So because of that, I was able to pull out my laptop and I was able to watch a really nice piano video and I was able to watch a music theory video and get that far, and I think that was amazing. I wasn't able to like directly play piano because I wasn't at home, but I really loved that, and I was so grateful that the Lord was like, Okay, this is the plan I have for you, and I'm gonna make sure to scout people, right, to help you grow closer to the plans I have for you and to help you achieve the plans I have for you. And in the same way, I am scouting you to help people so that they may grow closer to me and that they may grow closer to the plans I have for them. So I really like the whole idea, the whole concept of a prayer board. I definitely think it's something that every Christian, every person needs because it helps keep your mind in the right-head space. It helps keep it helps keep oh my lord, it helps keep you in the right-head space. So definitely make sure you do that. Next, I know what normally happens is that people are like, okay, write your goals, then make your vision board. But for me, I guess I think it's dependent on you, honestly. For me, in my experience, it's I make my vision board, then I write my goals. So next it is write down your goals for the year based on your vision board, right? So as I've written goals, I have written goals so many times. I've been doing this ever since I was like eight, and now I'm 13, and I'm still young, but I think I've learned so so much about writing goals. The first one being that your goals should be smart, they should be specific, they should be measurable, they should be achievable, realistic, and time bound. So, what does that mean? Let's say, for example, I say, Oh, I'm gonna give you guys an actual example and something I used to do. In 2023, one of my goals was play piano more. That was it. It is not specific, it is not measurable, it is not achievable, and it's not time bound. And now my goal is play piano every day for 30 minutes to one hour forty five minutes. See that is specific, that is measurable, and that is achievable. And here's the thing about me immediately gets to like that one hour forty-five and that one hour forty-five becomes easy. I will move on and I'll be like, okay, play piano for two hours to four hours. Because we want to add in time bound, we can say play piano for 30 minutes to one hour and 45 minutes every day at 6 p.m. So that's just one way I really recommend to set goals because we tend to set goals a lot that are so vague and they really don't help us enough. And you know what? This is a really good point too. I was listening to my friend's podcast, which is the That Christian Girl podcast. It's really good, you should listen to it. And she was talking about how in the book Atomic Habits by James Clare, he talks about setting identity-based goals instead of outcome-based goals. And I really loved that because our identity tends to govern everything we do. If part of your identity, for example, is I'm a Christian, then you will make it a habit to go to church every Sunday. You will make it a habit to go to Bible study groups and to read your Bible. So if my goals are play piano for 30 minutes to one hour 45 minutes every single day at 6 pm, then at that point I am becoming, I am ascribing it to my identity, in that it's not just something as vague as let me give you guys another example, because that might not make as much sense, but another example is run a 5k. That's an outcome-based goal. There's nothing necessarily wrong with that, but instead, what if you do run one kilometer a day and then one month passes, second month, run two kilometers a day, two months pass, and then run three kilometers a day, and then you just keep going like that. At that point, you're focusing on an identity-based goal, and I think that's where it really is, because in the same way, I think something I'm learning to do is when someone asks me, Nia, do you play the piano? Instead of saying, Yeah, I I dabble, because that's what I normally say. Um, but instead of just saying I dabble, I say yes, I'm a pianist. And I'm gonna say that, right? Because at that point, I am ascribing it to my identity. It is a part of who I am, meaning it will be so much harder for me not to play piano because I already have it in my mind. I'm a pianist, I love piano. Just to add on to that identity-based goal, what am I gonna do? I'm gonna start playing piano at church, and that's something I've actually been talking to the pianist at church about because he was saying that he'd like me to be stepping in a couple times um a month, and I think that's really really cool because once again it's contributing to that identity-based goal. So make sure you're setting identity-based goals. Next, create a habit tracker, and you might already know what this is. I mean, habit tracker, easy, but I think I really wish I knew about this um last year, because what would happen is that I wouldn't really have one. So I'd be wondering why aren't my habits flying? But then immediately I got a habit tracker and I could see, oh, for this amount of days, right, this is what I did. Like for 10 days I did piano for four hours straight. That's actually true, and it was amazing. And for 10 days I did piano for four hours straight, and next to the habit tracking log thing, I had a place where I could write down notes. And then I remember there was a time I was like, I want to get back to four hours a day, what do I do? So I went back to the notes and I was like, okay, is this what I did? And one of the things I realized I do is that at night when I'm tired, I would play piano, not in the morning when I'm energized. Because when I'm tired, it acts as a safe haven and I'm able to fully pour my heart out, and it's just I don't know. I prefer playing piano when I'm tired opposed to when I'm more energized, because then it feels like hmm, it feels like the music is not as melancholic as I like it, technically. So, yeah, that's something I learned. Make a habit tracker, they're so important. If you want one, honestly, just go to Google search habit tracker, there will be some really good free ones. I will try and see if I can put one in the description, so just check, um, just in case I put one. But yeah, okay, what should you do in the last days to prepare for this new year? I love that. I love that. So we are in January 2nd. Today is January 2nd, but as long as you can still say happy new year, it is not yet fully the new year. The new year has not fully passed. There we go. The first thing is reflect. Y'all, if I could tell you how much this has changed me, because I don't know, I think for such a long time I'd do reflection, but it was kind of just like a thought dump, and there's nothing necessarily wrong with that, but guided reflection is truly so amazing. And a couple of the journal prompts I have for you guys is one, what are some things I learned this last year? Because sometimes we focus on the things we achieve and less on the things we learn, and the things we learn are just as big as achievements, you know? Next, what accomplishment was I most proud of and why? I think that's so important because sometimes we're like, I'm so proud of this accomplishment, but I do not know why. Like one of the accomplishments I was really proud of um in 2023 was the fact that I almost talked to a politician, and what had happened was that my family was in this restaurant and then we heard he was coming because he had some business to do in the area. I'm like, okay, so I really want to talk to him, but I can't remember exactly what he looks like. So I go up I love this. I went up instead to his bodyguard and asked him the questions I wanted to ask the politician. And the bodyguard was like, I really admire confidence, but he's inside the boardroom having a meeting. But immediately he comes out, I'll make sure he talks to you. But then immediately he came out, he had to like rush and like I was very proud of myself for that. And I mean, okay, there are a couple other things I was proud of myself for, but I don't know. There's something about that, that confidence that I really, really was proud of myself for doing and for achieving. Cuz I could have easily backed out, but I didn't. So yeah, I was really proud of myself for that little thing. How could I have done better? Hmm. Hmm. I'd also like to add in how could I have done worse? Because we tend to focus on how we can improve and not enough on how we can and how we can become worse because immediately we know what worse looks like, then we make sure we do not get to worse. So I think that's so important. Next, what would I rate the year and why? And don't don't put seven, because I feel like everyone put seven, honestly, because I rated the year um with a couple friends of mine, and I kid you not, 90% of them were like seven. They were like, oh yeah, I rate my year seven. I was like, what? Seven? Just seven? Please do not use seven. I don't know why, but I feel like it's a very trending number, so um, you can use seven though. I'm not banning you from using a number. Lastly, what was I grateful for this year? I think we need to focus on gratitude more because when we focus on gratitude, we tend to be happier. I think there were so many things I wanted to happen in 2023, and nothing happened the way I thought. I'ma give you guys an example. I dropped out of school the second week of the second term of the year. Like no one knew I was dropping out, my parents knew, but one Saturday my mom calls the um principal and is like Nia isn't coming to school on Monday. And that was crazy. And you know what? I think I'll do a whole entire episode just focused on that because y'all have been asking, like, why? And yeah, I understand how that can be just a bit confusing. So I'll make sure to do one episode on that so that you guys fully understand why and how I was able to just decide to get out of this environment that I felt was not bettering me anymore. Y'all, I'm gonna say this. One of the largest misconceptions about a new year is that immediately January 1st hits, you will be so motivated and you will know exactly what to do and how to do it, and discipline will just come easy and it won't. It will only be big and it will only be um you will only be as consistent as you want to be starting January 1st if you make sure that the weeks leading up to January 1st you are already consistent. I'm gonna give you guys an example, right? Maybe one of your 2024 goals was read for an hour a day at 6 pm. That's a really good goal. What if the days leading up to January 1st you're doing reading for 30 minutes a day at 6 pm? Because I'm learning one of the hardest things to maintain is consistency. Once you have the consistency down, I promise you the time will not even become hard. I remember when I had um consistency in piano down, like time was not even something I'd really look at a lot. I had like a least amount of time I could practice for, and that was like an hour 30, and most of the times I'd do like three hours, four hours, and it felt like nothing. Why? Because I had already gotten the consistency down, meaning there was no pushing and pulling and just feeling bad and nope. And something else I really recommend is genuinely loving what you're doing so much that the thought of it makes you happy. Discipline is amazing, but I'm learning that we as humans tend to be governed by our emotions, and we need to learn how to control them, but for now, why don't we use that for our good? Because this is a way of controlling your emotions, in that you're gonna look at people, you're gonna watch videos of pianists, you're gonna watch documentaries of pianists or whatever profession you want to go into, and you're gonna listen to people doing it so amazingly that when the time comes for you to play piano or when the time comes for you to do whatever your goal is, you're excited. You can't wait. You have ideas, you have a fresh mind, you have a fresh fire. Just focus a bit more on excitement. Lastly, y'all already know what I'm you already know who I am. You guys already know what I'm about to say, I think. I hope so. Maybe, maybe not, but clean your room, delete the necessary stuff on your phone, take a good full shower. And what do I mean by this? I mean for the girls. I know if you have not washed your hair, this is a sign to wash your hair. Okay? I need to wash my hair and I haven't. Wash your nails, wash your hair, floss, do teeth whitening strips. Make sure that you're going into this new year and you feel good about yourself. One of the things I've been doing is using this massage gun for my back because I get really, really bad back pain. Not bad back pain, it's just not comfortable at all. So when I use it, it tends to make sure that I'm a bit I'm a bit more comfortable, I'm a bit happier, meaning even as I'm sitting at my piano. So I think that's something that can really help us going into this new year, just making sure that we're going into this new year as we're comfortable and as we're just content. Okay, so we've touched on a bit of mental and spiritual preparation, but now it's fully time to touch on them, right? Because as I have already said, we are spiritual beings inside physical bodies, our spiritual and our mental governs our lives so much more than we even think. So, what are some things I recommend just to prepare mentally and spiritually? So, what do I recommend you do for preparation for mental and spiritual preparation? Write a list as if it's in the present of the type of person you want to become. That was a mouthful. But I think I've heard this been said so many times, and I love it, but I think we're gonna take this a step further, right? Who do you want to be? What are the person you want to be? What are their values? How do they treat people? What type of friends do they have? What type of um behavior do they condone? And then this is a catch, and then immediately after that, remove anything that does not align with that vision. So it might be playlists, chats, music, movies, um movies you need to stop watching, of course, loves. I'm gonna tell you all this. There's a reason the unfollow button is there, there's a reason the block button is there, there's a reason the delete number button is there. If you feel like the people around you are genuinely draining you and they're not helping you, and they're not encouraging you, and they're not just helping you grow closer to God and helping you grow closer to the good and perfect will of God for your life, and you feel like they're being mean and they're draining your energy, and whenever you're around them, you suddenly get sad or you're suddenly afraid, and it's just you feel you around them. Honestly, you don't have to talk to them. And I say this because in the beginning of the year there were so many people I was talking to, and I think that's because I felt like I had to talk to them, not because I necessarily wanted to, and I'm gonna say this too learn to detach yourself just as easy as you attach yourself. Guard your heart, right? This life is not easy. I mean, okay, I'm not the best person to speak about life. I'm 13, I haven't really been through it all, but this life genuinely is not easy. And if you do not guard your heart, I promise you, you are not going to get through it happily. Guard your heart, guard your mind, guard your friendships. Make sure that your friendships are yeah, they're mutually beneficial. I've always talked about this, but let me explain this a bit, right? Mutually beneficial in that when I'm around you, I'm happier. When you're around me, you feel more adventurous. See, that's mutually beneficial. Or when I'm around you, or when we're together, we tend to converse on certain topics more, or we tend to grow each other's worldview. Something like that, or it can be just something as small as when I'm around you, I'm happier, you make me laugh, you're a funny guy, you're you're a funny girl, and when you're around me, we just tend to laugh together. So make sure that the friendship is mutually beneficial now that you understand what I mean, in that way. Okay, this might be this might take a while, but movies and music. I honestly think that our movies and our music or entertainment can govern our lives so much because it's what goes into our mind, what we talk about, what we think on, that really impacts our life in general. Like if you're watching m movies that are forever sad and depressing, and you're listening to music that's sad and depressing, then when sad and depressing comes around, or when you're not as happy, then it becomes harder to switch into happiness because your mind is used to that whole oh things are only gonna get worse from here, because that's how the movies portray it. And I'm not necessarily saying that when things get worse, they're automatically gonna get better, but if you ask me, happiness is a state of finding beauty, of being grateful, even in chaos, even in pain. I think that is what true happiness is because our external environment will change always. So happiness cannot be governed by your external environment, otherwise, you will not be truly happy, and that's just something I'm adding to it for this new year. But yeah, just make sure that you're taking care of what you're watching, what you're listening to, who you're hanging around, the conversations you're partaking in. It's gonna really affect the type of person you become in this year. So, um, I wish I was given some goal ideas in like 2021. Because I would wonder, like, what am I supposed to set goals on? So I have made sure to have a little section for you guys where you can take ideas from this, you can decide to actually use these goal ideas, but these are just like five I came up with. And the first one is read for an hour a day, equaling one book a month, draw an art piece every week, which is really cool, journal daily immediately after you wake up, amazing, do a given sport slash instrument for an hour daily slash learn a new drill slash song slash anything else um every week, if that makes sense. Okay, I'm gonna give you guys an example, right? Because I'm not gonna read out this whole thing. So for me it would be like do piano for an hour daily and learn a new song every week. For someone who plays maybe soccer, for example, it would be do soccer for an hour daily, learn a new drill every week. See, that's like a good example. Lastly, it is start a small business slash YouTube channel. I don't know, I feel like this is really cool. You can start like a video diary, you can start writing a book. It you don't even have to like publish the book necessarily. I think it's simply for um making sure that your mind is in the right place, that you have something to do when you're bored, you have something to focus on. I'm doing a lot of like web design, so if y'all want to do like coding and web design and stuff, you can do I think it's called Free Code Camp. You can do Khan Academy, you can do a couple others, but I've only ever done Con Academy and Free Code Camp. And I think those have really really helped me because I love coding and I know I love graphic design and I know I love front-end web design, so that's really helping me because one of my goals this year is to just explore that a bit more. So yeah, make sure that your hobbies are also kind of aligning with your goals for the year. Thank you so much for listening to this podcast. Once again, I'm so sorry, I'm a bit sick, so my voice is a bit off, but it is okay, at least we got it done. Um, this year we're not gonna be focusing on perfection, but what progress? Whoop whoop. Um, the podcast Instagram is keep it clean underscore podcast, so feel free to DM or leave a review on Spotify's little review tab, it really helps the algorithm and I appreciate you so much. But before we move on, before we finish this episode fully, I would want to read a little review. So I want to start doing this a bit more because um I listen to a couple podcasters and they tend to do this where they read a review a week. So yeah, let's do that. I'll try and be doing maybe two reviews a week. I think that would be cool. From Esquiteto. Hey girl, this was so amazing. Keep up the good work. Slight suggestion, maybe you could cover something about pursuing your spiritual life and how to grow a relationship with others through Christ. Love you. Ooh, I love that. Well, I'll definitely look into that and I'll definitely I already have it written down on my um podcast hit list, which is like things I need to get done and things I need to record. So yeah, I would really love to record something on pursuing your spiritual life and how to grow a relationship with others through Christ. Mmm, I love that idea so much. Thank you so much for um reviewing the podcast and just replying to the little podcast polls. I love you too, and thank you so much for listening to this.
