Curb and Canyon: A Porsche Podcast

Welcome to Curb and Canyon – a podcast for Porsche enthusiasts BY Porsche enthusiasts. A collaboration between Porsche tragics, Andy Gaunt of ‘Last Rasp’ and James McGrath of ‘Auto Amateur’, Curb and Canyon is all about the lifestyle choice that is Porsche ownership. We’re not experts, we’re mates having a laugh about owning and driving these great cars, the roads we’ve driven, the upgrades we’ve made, the mods we’ve messed up and the great people we’ve met along the way. We want the world to know how awesome it is to own a car with the Porsche crest on the hood! New episodes dropping weekly with regular guests and panelists from across the Porsche world.

Hello guys! Bob from Iowa here (Instagram @lovethetwisties). Thanks for another fun episode. Andy, when I was looking for a car in 2020, I struggled over whether I should get a 981 Spyder. It came down to the fact that I know I'm lazy enough that if there's a chance that it will rain I'd just keep the top up. Then why have a convertible? And, I worry about getting the interior soaked by a sudden downpour. I ended up getting a 981 Boxster GTS. No sexy boot humps, but the automatic insulated roof, the sound (oh, the sound!) and the way it drives give me all the fizz I need. I suggest a drive in one if you can, in a manual car if you can find one. Enjoy your search! Also, for James, we use an app called "Ride with GPS" to navigate on our tours. Initially made for bicycle touring, it works really well for cars too. Also, since I'm in your part of the world, are the "Porsches and Pancakes" events open to anyone with a Porsche? We visit the twin cities from time to time and would love to include a stop there as part of a weekend trip. Thanks!
