Show Notes

In the 1980s and 1990s, Michael Mateos was deep in the world of narcotics, crime and violence.

That lifestyle took a toll on him physically and psychologically. When he hit the bottom, there were moments when he wanted to give up and let go. He asked himself, "How long will I keep this going?"

Since then, it's been a long road he's travelled to the man he is today. Today he runs his own company and consultancy Ingenomvei where he speaks to a wide spectrum of audience, from kids to corporate professionals. He speaks about BEING THE BEST VERSION OF OURSELVES.

His stories and his experiences are sobering and they hit deep. They're motivating and inspiring.

In this episode, Michel and I explored some of the following questions:

  • How does the power of emotions affect our mindset?
  • What can we do to learn from our emotions?
  • How important is it to process our emotions? ...and how do we do that?
  • How can we build emotional & mental resilience?
  • How does nature, art and exercise contribute to our sense of resilience?
  • What can we do to help youth and young adults in a post-pandemic world?
