Jessica Kahn is a writer and plant medicine enthusiast. She is the author of the upcoming book, "The Mental Diet: How I Escaped a Religious Cult and Found Healing Through Plant Medicine." She discusses her experience of growing up in a cult and finding healing through plant medicine.

Jessica Kahn was born into a small cult in upstate New York. The cult was led by a man who believed he had a direct connection to God. The cult was based on Christianity and the Twelve Steps, and the members were expected to work hard and obey the leader. Kahn began questioning the cult's beliefs after witnessing a series of violent events. She eventually escaped the cult and wrote a book about her experiences.
