Welcome back to Guided Meditations with Star. I always like to take this time to say thank you for returning to this channel or, if it's your first time to this channel. Thank you for taking the time out to listen to this meditation and I hope that it helps you to relax. Speaker 1:I have been in a little bit of craziness, doing a lot of studying and exams, so I felt right and guided that the meditation for today would be called Journey to the Inner Self. This meditation is something that will allow you to go inside, support you in rest and recuperation and maybe, if you're open to it, to invite you to conduct a little inner exploration to see where your energy is at and where maybe it shouldn't be, and bring it back home to you. And just a little disclaimer if you're driving, please wait until you're out of the car and in your comfortable seated position and in a safe place where you can really relax and enjoy this moment, into your sacred internal space, breathing in and breathing out nice, even full breaths, and while you're taking your mind's attention up to the top of the head and let those muscles around the forehead, the jaw, the ears, the top of your head just relax, melt away, as if warm water is gently pouring over your head, softly caressing the forehead, easing the tension in front of the ears from the jaw, and you're breathing in and out and let it go. Let all of this tension go, moving to the neck and the shoulders. Let them relax. Let go start in the middle of your neck, in the back of your sweet head, and just let a warm energy flow to each shoulder and beyond, come back to the back of your head and the base of your neck and on the exhale, let it go to the sides of the shoulders again and just let it go. Keep repeating that process until you really feel those muscles of the trapezius. Let it go.
Speaker 1:Let go with everyone and everything that you've been carrying on your shoulders. Just let it all go then, moving your mind's attention and the awareness of your breath to the front of your body, the chest, your heart, space and breathe. If you like, you can place your hands upon your chest and appreciate the rising of the breath and the rising of your chest and the exhale of the breath and the lowering of your chest. In breathing in and out, nice and easy, at your own pace. Don't hurry and feel the ribs expanding at the side of your body as the chest rises and falls.
Speaker 1:And let us not forget the lower back, the part of you that carries such power and strength for the entirety of your body, and the tension that sits in the lower back. Let it go. Just like you did with your shoulders, take your mind's attention to the lower back, right at the hip, inhalings and on the exhale. Let that breath spread that tension out, releasing it out out of the side of your body, out of the bones, out of the iliac crest, out of the hip bones, just out to the side. Clear the way, the way and you're still breathing here, because this is an important part of your body.
Speaker 1:So much of your creativity, your problem solving, your expertise, the way you fix things, the way you create things, lives here. The way you care for yourself, or the lack thereof when you're too busy, rests here. How you carry your work yourself and other people that you support and love through the world rests here. So take some time breathing in and out of this low back area. You can place your hands gently on the navel so you can feel the rise and fall of the belly as you breathe in and out, just letting it go. With each exhale you release even things you do not know by name. Let it all go. No need to carry burdens. Problems are solved exactly at the right time, so you don't need to carry that which is not yours, that which is not yours to carry or fix or elaborate on. If you're empathic and you feel everything, this is an area that needs special attention, because you can feel the pain and discomfort and worries of someone else, no matter how deeply you know them, and you can pick it up by no fault of your own, and you carry it with you longer than what's needed and it usually isn't even needed.
Speaker 1:So breathing in and exhaling out and you may have colors come into your mind's eye as you've been breathing throughout your body that's really great. Let it come in, let it move in the way that it needs to. There are never any mistakes when you're connecting with your body and now take a nice easy breath in and this time, imagine you're exhaling down your legs, out of the soles of your feet, letting it go, clearing the pathway, nourishing the energy, the meridians, the blood, the veins, the arteries, the muscles, the nerves, from the lower back throughout the whole pelvic area, down the legs and out the feet, and you're breathing in in your own way, in your own rhythm, and it's perfect and you're perfect, softly breathing, sinking deeper and deeper into your body, into your soul. You're safe, you're amazing, you're loved.
Speaker 1:Take your mind's attention when you're ready, up to the forehead, a place of deep knowing and perceiving, ask your body where inside my body are there messages or places I need to go and listen or heal Wherever you are guided to go. Go there now. Take your mind to the place where you are being guided toward and rest there. Listen, smile, ask questions and listen. Listen to the wisdom and the guidance of your most precious body. Take your time. Take your time and if you're called to multiple places within this beautiful inner space of your own body, take your time and move from place to place, smiling compassionately, saying hello and listening. Um, uh, thank you, trust what you receive and stay here as long as you like. Thank you for joining me today and, most importantly, thank you for joining within yourself. That is what matters most.
