If you’re an introvert and/or highly sensitive person (HSP) and also a facilitator, trainer, or educator who works with groups, you may find yourself completely drained at the end of a day of delivering workshops and talking to people.

How do you manage your energy reserves so you can bring your best when you’re at work?

Here’s what I’ve learned:

  • You are differently wired and there is nothing wrong with you for feeling drained.
  • Prepare before the event by doing the internal work.
  • Prioritize downtime after the event.
  • Take time to integrate, acknowledge, and process what happened and what you learned.
  • Release the need to control, judge, criticize, and make up stories.
  • Release the charge and emotion that accumulates after a long day of being with people.
  • Notice how you respond in the moment to uncertainty and the unplanned.
