Ep. 90: When Diets Failed Her: The Minerals That Finally Supported Lindsay's Metabolism [HTMA Series Part 3]
Weight Loss Resistance, Stress, and the Mineral Patterns Behind a “Stuck” Metabolism
Today’s episode features an incredibly relatable story from Lindsay, a marriage and family therapist, military wife, mom of two, and someone who felt like she was doing everything “right”: eating well, following the plan, exercising, pushing herself… and still gaining weight, feeling exhausted, and being told her labs were “normal.”
After pregnancy and years of intense stress, deployments, and living abroad, her body felt completely out of control. Doctors offered restrictive diets, a thousand-calorie meal plan, and no real answers. Even after following those recommendations perfectly, nothing changed.
What did change?
Seeing her HTMA results and finally understanding why her metabolism was struggling and what her body needed to feel safe enough to start healing.
In this episode, Lindsay shares:
• What weight loss resistance felt like when nothing worked
• How chronic stress, postpartum depletion, and metabolism are deeply connected
• Why “normal labs” don’t tell the full story
• The moment she realized she wasn’t crazy and that she was actually depleted
• The difference mineral repletion made in her energy, digestion, mood, and confidence
• How improving her health shifted her marriage, parenting, and work life
• How she maintained her progress months later

Welcome back to the next episode of the Love Your Gut podcast. I am excited for the next interview in our HTMA series with Lindsay, and she's gonna talk to us all about her experience with HTMA. A little different than some of the other interviews that I've done, which is why I'm super excited about this series, just showcasing how minerals can help so many different things. So, Lindsay, welcome to the show. Yay. Thank you. I'm so excited to be here. Okay. Well let's go back to just the beginning. So you found out about HTMA from a friend of, actually a mutual friend of ours. And who's in the business space, and you were maybe curious about HTMA testing. I think maybe you messaged our mutual friend about it, Lacey actually, who is one of the other episodes, and then decided to move forward. So walk me through what. Got you interested in HTMA, I guess maybe even when you originally heard about it, what your thoughts were like, yeah. Could this actually work? Or what is this? You know? Yeah. Well, I guess it really starts with like, the issues that I was having is I I had a, a baby my, my second late, so I was 38 and, and I've had just a very hard time. You know, getting the weight off. I'm, I'm never one that says I need to return to like, you know, get my body back or return to my pre baby body. But it's, you know, the unhealthy weight that doesn't feel good that I feel on my body and I just didn't love it. Some, feeling really lethargic. I. I, I've never been regular in terms of bowel movements. I go from, constipated to, I, I was just having all of these issues and I went to multiple doctors about it and they would do my blood work and they would say everything is normal. You are absolutely normal. And so I would kind of keep poking. I kept pushing and they even sent me to this thing called the BOD Pod, where you basically sit in this egg and they give you like all of your stats. They, and they put me on a very, very strict diet, which to be honest, I would never maintain long term. They like very strict exercise. Like they did all this stuff and I did it to a TI did every single thing they said. I went back two months later and I had gained weight. I had gained inches, like nothing. And they basically were like, well, we don't know. Like, you're like, this is just you now. And so. I was just feeling really like frustrated that, you know, here I am in my early forties and you're telling me that like, there's nothing that I can do. I just have to be okay with this. And so it was really hopeless, to be honest. And so I saw Lacey, in one of her stories she had mentioned that she had done the HCMA test. And, even talked a little bit about her results and how things had been missed for her that were, so, it kind of like was all of the things that was like, okay, maybe this can be the thing. And what I was most concerned about,'cause you had said, when I heard of the test, I think what I was most concerned is that I would do it, it would come back and again, it would be like everything is normal. And that was, I think what I was the most nervous about was that I, it felt like it was like my last hope kind of thing to actually give me answers for why I was experiencing the symptoms that I was experiencing. I love that you said that because that is the experience that so many of our clients have. What, regardless of what program they're working with us in, is I went to the doctor, I told them my symptoms, they told me I was normal. They told me to do X, Y, Z, a restricted diet, this random medication, something like not sustainable. And it didn't work. And then I felt really hopeless and I was really scared to try other testing because it feels like very almost rejecting when you get results back that tell you you're normal. You start to feel a little bit crazy. Mm-hmm. But that's the thing that I love about really all the testing that we do. But HTMA specifically is. There really is no normal. The interesting part is like it's all about the patterns and all about how those patterns are showing up in your body because it's not necessarily a diagnostic test. Like we're not diagnosing someone with thyroid issues or whatever issue. We're looking at how your minerals are working together and. Obviously we can get them as close to balanced as possible, but minerals are dynamic too. So no one is ever like quote unquote perfect. Yeah. And so yeah, we've never had a quote unquote normal test, which, is, is actually a good thing because then you get the results back and you're like, okay, there's actually something that I can do about this. Yes. I think that meeting, when we went over my results, I think that was probably one of the most validating meetings that I have had where it was like this, you are low in this and that explains this. Symptom, I'm low on this. That explains, it was like yes. Like you're, that's exactly right. And it makes sense and it goes together and, and there is something that then I can do about it. So it not only made sense of the symptoms that I was having, but it gave me that path to like change things to actually like feel better. Totally. Okay. So you did the test. Which, involved obviously cutting your hair and sending it into the lab. I've asked a couple other people this on these interviews, but were you scared to cut your hair or were you like, okay, I'm willing to try anything? I was willing to try anything, but I think I was the most scared because my husband did it for me. Like I didn't I was, I was not going to cut my own hair, but he did it. It was funny because I could like, feel, I'm like touching where it was. I could feel, it's, like it short and it, I, my, I, my finger would naturally go there for like several weeks until it grew out. But it wasn't bad, right? Like you couldn't tell and it, it was like, it was super easy. And yeah, I would, I would do it again. But yeah, in the moment it was weird and I made my husband do it the dirty work. It's a good test to your marriage, which is ironic because that's what you do. You're a marriage therapist and you help people with their marriages, so you know, you're just doing the work, practicing what. It's like a marriage trust fall. Right? Like cut my hair and have it be, hey, I had to do his during COVID. So it was only fair. He, he re repay the favor. Yes, totally. Okay. So you said that the appointment was super validating because you were able to see this is low and it causes this symptom, this is off and it causes this symptom. What was something maybe that stuck out to you or surprised you about your results? If, if anything. I honestly was surprised at how low I was because I feel like I am really conscious of a lot of stuff, and so I. Mean, now in hindsight it's like, of course I, I wasn't like at that really deep cellular level, but like, I, I just, I was surprised at how low I was. I was also surprised in what I was, really low in like sodium. I feel like I eat, I eat a lot of salt, I eat. So it just was never something I would have thought about before. And even when she was talking about, you're not gonna get this because this one's low. And so, so it was even like the interaction of them together. So like, your vitamin isn't going to cut it because you're not getting, you know, it was like that kind of stuff that was, was surprising to me. Yeah, like an example that we see a lot, and this may or may not have been the case for you, but we have a lot of clients that come to us. Similar thing, they're constipated, you know, they feel like they never have been regular in their life and they're taking tons of magnesium and they're like. Why can't I still go to the bathroom? Or why do I flip from like one end to another? And it actually has a lot more to do with their boron and their sodium than it does with magnesium because those things help with absorption. And so most of the time we're actually answering and, and looking for the answer to the question of like, why are you not responding to this mineral? And it has a lot to do with the other minerals. Exactly. Well, and, and that's the thing is if you have this, take this if you have, right? Like that's kind of the what's out there. Or even just, just take the multivitamin and it was, being able to kind of see it play out and like I'm, I'm doing all of these things that don't even matter because I'm, these other things are low or I'm not managing them. So I think it was a really good. For me to even see like that whole picture of my own health and then, the, with the symptoms being like the end of it, right? Mm-hmm. Instead of like, that was my only focus. Like, I can't lose this weight, I can't, that kind of thing. Well, and you had been told, okay, you did the BOD Pod, and they're like, eat this super restricted diet. You did it. Then it ended up backfiring and making things worse, which just shows how much like it is, of course about what you eat, but it's so much more about metabolism and hormones and how your body is actually functioning. And if you're super depleted like you were, of course your body's not gonna prioritize weight loss if it's already depleted. I have to make sure that I'm surviving and that is not a priority right now. So you go from being super frustrated that you're being diligent following the plan to a T, like every type A girly does. Yeah. Yeah. And then you're like, I'm not even getting the benefit of this. So I imagine that was super frustrating. It. I would say that, you know, if we really even go into like the mental health of all of that, like it, it really starts to mess with you because you lose I don't have hope to change things. Now you feel really out of control and when you feel really right, like the. Cascade event. It's not just, it's, it's not just like this weight that I'm carrying. Becomes this I don't have control over my own body. I don't have control, the diet, if I were, I mean, it was like a thousand calories a day. Yeah. Which is, it was like less than your toddler low. Yes, exactly. I even had to kind of push back, are you sure? This doesn't seem really healthy to me. Like I'm active. I have a kid I work out like, and it, so it just wasn't the way, and I'm like, they're, these are supposed to be the experts that are helping me and, and I am now out of control and they can't help me. Right. Like it really just takes you to these levels of like hopelessness. You lose motivation to want to try you, right? Like the trickle down of. Effect is kind of scary. And I'm glad that I saw that story when I did because it got me out of it, it gave me like I, it gave me that motivation back. But I don't know what would've happened if, if I, if I hadn't seen that, you know? Totally. Yeah. It's like then you just feel stuck and like you said, out of control, like what is happening to my body. I think we might've been joking about this when I was on your podcast, but how we're all tortured by like all the perimenopause content online. Yes. And a, a lot of the messages out there like, yeah, you're perimenopausal, so that's why you feel this way. But then there's not a lot of hope of like, and the solution is, you know? Yes. Yeah. And especially for. A lot of the clients that we see, and I said this actually on Lacey's episode as well, is the worst, and I say worst in quotes because there's really not good and bad when it comes to minerals, but I guess a better way to say it, the most depleted tests that we see are moms who are entrepreneurs, and it's like the same. Personality traits that made you successful as a female entrepreneur are also the same traits that are depleting your body. So it's like you're kryptonite a little bit as well. And you're, you're a go-getter. You are an achiever and you're like, I'm following the plan and it's not working. So yeah, it feels super outta control. Yeah. I like a plan. I like to have, the, the way the steps and. And I was doing all of the ones that, that, that my doctor was giving me the, I saw a nutritionist. I was literally doing all of the stuff. Okay, so you, so you had your appointment, you got your recommendations. You felt like, okay, I at least understand why I am having these symptoms. And we gave you recommendations for. Mineral support as well as nutrition, lifestyle, et cetera. How did you feel about the recommendations? Did you feel like they were easy to follow? Did you feel like it was challenging to make these changes? Be honest, like, walk us through No, I Your thought process, I mean, again, I did this like ridiculous diet for like, it was two months, eight weeks. And so honestly for me it felt easier than. A lot of the other things that, that I had been asked to do. The, the hardest part is that I am sort of sensitive to taste and the mineral supplements do not taste great. And so I, it took me a while I think to figure out. How to, to get that down and how to want to get that down. And that was probably the hardest part, to be honest. What worked for you? Because I know we have people listening that already have their minerals because they're working with us. How did you make it taste better? How did you. What was your concoction? Because everybody has their own thing. Some people will just put their custom blend into a little bit of water and take it like a shot. Some people will mix it into a smoothie. Some people like sip on it all day with a lot of water. Some people add other flavoring. What was your strategy? So the smoothie was the best for me'cause then I just couldn't taste it at all. You do it like twice a day. And so I didn't want to have two smoothies a day, and so I would they, it come some like stuff that you can put in that makes them taste better. And then that I would also add like water or just something else that would even dilute it even more. And I just shoot it. I just had to, one gulp for me. I could, if I had to. Sip that thing all day. It would never have been drunk. That's the exact thing that Lacey said. She said, I could have, something disgusting for two seconds of my day to feel better. It was worth it, you know? Yeah, yeah. It's funny because it, it also depends on what we put in it, but some people are like, oh my gosh, it was terrible. And other people are like, well, I started craving it after a while. I'm like, oh, that's interesting. So yeah, I mean, it definitely was something that I wanted to. Take. So again, there was that like motivation there to, to want to figure it out. I had figured out like an afternoon or an evening smoothie that wouldn't, so it didn't have as much like stuff in it to fill me up, but that, would still kind of cut the taste. So I. I, I figured it out in, in a way that feels good, but yeah, I the quicker, the better, so to speak. Totally. Okay, so you started taking it. What did the trajectory look like? I know you were noticing changes like in energy and how you felt. Everyone's trajectory is a little bit different. Sometimes people notice changes, like right away. Sometimes people, it takes longer just depending on. Of course their genetics and their lifestyle and their diet and all the things. But what did the progress look like for you? So one thing that I think was really helpful is I actually put in, in my calendar, I like a reminder to like check in with myself each month.'cause I feel like the results are so. Slow almost in the sense that you're not gonna notice it every day. But when I got to that month and I looked back and it was like, oh, I have had more energy. Lately I have, I, I've seen myself being able to do this. My I'm starting to be maybe a little bit more regular than I was before. I would say the most noticeable without having to like check in with myself was definitely after the three months, I, that was when I really started to be like, okay, I feel a difference. I feel like I, I, I was starting to see some of this resisted weight even, I felt like it, I just. Not that it was like gone but that it, I feel like it, things were starting to move, whereas before they were not awesome. I love that. And I mean, honestly, that's, that's what you want. You want that slow, steady change that all of a sudden you look back and you're like, oh yeah, I'm not crashing at 2:00 PM like I was or Oh yeah. I. I'm sleeping a lot deeper. I wake up feeling more rested and it's like that steady change where it's not necessarily overnight. You're not necessarily waking up one day and being like, I feel like a completely different person. But then if you look back a couple months, you're like, I feel like a complete person. I am person. Yeah. I feel, and I feel like, honestly, me being kind of the marriage psychologist that I am, I. Because this happens with like the relationships that I work with too, is like maybe even day to day they don't notice a big change yet, especially when things have been so bad and you're starting to like make the changes. It's not like you all of a sudden change the dynamic and everything feels good, right? And so I always say you have to set these kind of moments where you look back and say, what's different than when we started, okay this is getting better. How do we build off that? So I think it just sort of lends well to me saying I know that it's not gonna be this overnight aha. Everything's great. Like no issues. But you know, I, made a point to check in with myself and then, but like the actual, when I didn't have to check in, like it was then like, I don't. I'm one of those weirdos that I, I don't drink coffee. And so even then, like I, I just, I need it even less than maybe I, because I had started, I had started to drink coffee. Not'cause I necessarily wanted to, but man, I was just dragging so much and I just like, again, that's, I, that's gone. I just don't need it anymore. So like those things became obvious, but they weren't at first. Yeah. Well, so back to marriage and being a marriage therapist. So you had me on your podcast recently and we talked about how when you feel better, your relationships can be better. And obviously that's way oversimplified. But from your perspective, obviously you had me on to talk about that for a reason. So what do you see, I'm sure you work with a lot of women that are in our age range, in this perimenopausal age range where they probably had a couple kids. It probably don't feel super good And that affects how they show up in their relationships. Totally. It probably affects how they show up and I know it shows up and how they perform at work and even like their fuse with mothering, like their nervous system fuse where they're like, every little thing kind of sets me off. So I'd love to just hear from your perspective what and why like health and mental health really have to be married together. Totally. I think that if, even if I just speak for myself first I think that. I, when I'm not super happy in myself, I, I was looking for kind of my, my spouse to validate to fill in that gap that maybe used to be there. And, he's not used to doing that, nor could he really ever actually do that. Right? Like, he can't make me be happy with myself. But there was more kind of pressure on him to do that and when that wasn't happening, right? Like it can just kind of create some. Some disconnection, but like if you think about intimacy and wanting to like I just wasn't comfortable with myself and I was tired and I was grumpy, and it certainly would show up in my parenting and I might be more snippy than I wanted to be, or I'd lose patience quicker. Or I, I find this a lot with the couples that I work with, where they're, like not wanting to get close to their. Spouse, they just don't feel, they don't feel good in their body. They don't feel good, and, and a lot of people aren't giving them any solutions for that. And it's one thing to say like, love yourself. Yes. Like, I worked on that every single day. But it does, it's, it's hard. It's hard when you're feeling hopeless that like, this is just it, this is, this is just it for me. And I don't like it. I'm not actually happy with it. Well, and especially if there's something physiologically going on, like I'm all about loving yourself and body positivity and all of those things, and like definitely think that that's a piece of the puzzle. 100%. Totally. But at the same time, if there's something physiologically going. Wrong, or there's something under the surface where your thyroid isn't right or your hormones aren't right, and your blood sugar's all over the place. And a lot of that starts with mineral imbalances and you can fix that. Totally. Like there's something to be said for doing both. Yeah. I just think that it, it's so related, like talking about like how hopeless I was like that was influencing my marriage, right? Like, and just not being happy. I just think. That and it was influencing, like how I showed up at work. It was influencing. It's just like, it just they play off of each other so much and even as I'm feeling more hopeful now, that's also translated in all of these other areas and I think that, we tend to like really even just like this, right? If we were just to say the gut health and your poops and your bloating and but like, even that influences so many other things and I think we just don't always look at that full picture and it's really doing a disservice not because I, it mine were so like playing off of each other. And then bad habits start because now I'm feeling bad about this, which create, it's just like you can't have one without the other. Totally, totally. So you did your HTMA around March. I think your, your appointment was, I was gonna say, I think I'm like due probably for a follow up. So, that's what I wanna talk about where you're at now, so you did the appointment around March, mid-March, and you did your minerals. You noticed a big change around the three month mark. Obviously it's been longer than three months, we're now about. It's October 30th when we're recording this yeah. Almost November. Where are you at now? Like how are you feeling? Do you feel like you, the results have lasted even after you stopped the mineral powder? Do you feel like, you're adding in more minerals even into your day-to-day food intake and all of that? I think that that's sort of what I. I, I did my, you know, I did my full mineral that you get it in a big tub. And then what I really focused on is because they, what I got was a whole list of recipes and, things to, when once I finished, I've been really like, can I maintain this on my own? And that's really what I wanna see when I go into when I do my follow up one, I wanna see was,'cause I know that I was better, based on just what I was experiencing. I still feel good right now. But I would like to see is can I maintain this with my own diet, my own stuff, or do I need, just the constant kind of supplementation to maintain that. And so that's where I am right now, just in the journey of, of all of this. Totally, and I, I said this slightly on another episode, but I think it's kind of a both and situation. So the only way that our body gets minerals is through food, and there are certain times in our lives that are just more depleting than others. So, yeah. Obviously being pregnant, postpartum nursing, lack of sleep, a stressful time period in your life can be another one. You're depleting more minerals when you're stressed, and so your mineral needs go up. We also know that our food is not as mineral rich as it once was. Which, but that also doesn't mean that we can't get what we need from food. We just have to be really intentional with it, which is why we give our clients so many different lists and recipes and ideas because it doesn't actually have to be that complicated. It could look like, especially potassium. That's a big mineral that so many people are low in, like just adding in a potassium rich food to every single meal, whether that's sweet potatoes or avocados, or coconut water, bananas, whatever it might be. And that would be the goal, right? To be able to maintain and then occasionally reset if you need to, or, supplement a little bit based on, the patterns that your body's showing. Of course, genetics play a role in that as well. But I'm really excited to see how things have maintained over the last couple months too. Yeah, me too. I think that, again, I feel good. I'm also in a very different life. I like that you said, like it also depends on, the, the circumstance I. When I did my appointment, I was coming off of, and even when, when we did the test, my husband is in the military and he, we were in a tour where he did in two and a half years, he deployed three times, so he was gone every six months for those two and a half years, and we were in Japan. It was all on me. I had a one month old when he left the first time, and so to say that it was like probably the most. Stressful, chaotic time of my life would be an understatement. Whereas now we have moved and he is home. It's two 30 as we're recording this and he is already home from work'cause he's helping to take care of our sick daughter who's home and I I, right, like we're, I'm just in even a completely different life space. And so I think this is what's gonna be interesting when I do my next test is. In like maybe an easier life can I maintain, but I would guess is if I was still in that stressful, I think I, I don't think there's any way that just diet alone would've. Been enough. So this is like the true can I maintain when everything is good and normal and if I can't, then that really shows me, right? Like I just need the constant, you know, supplementation and that's okay. I am okay with that. Well, and it doesn't always have to be a custom blend, it could be like figuring out exactly what multivitamin fits your needs as close to optimal, or which, yeah, mineral mocktail is gonna be the best thing for you to make. You know, totally on a consistent basis or some very, just a handful of targeted supplements for you that you take for a certain amount of time. There's always options, and that's, yeah, that's the beauty of it, is you can do, and we have some clients that come to us and they're like not interested in doing a custom blend. I only wanna take max three supplements and I wanna do it mostly through food. And I'm like, you go, girl. I know you can do. It's just gonna take some. Planning. Yeah. And strategy. Yeah. But it's not hard, once you get in a groove of it the custom blend obviously just makes things really convenient. Totally. And sometimes you do need a bulldozer to come in and I, that was definitely the case with you coming off, man. That just makes me feel stressed, thinking about having a one month old and my husband deploying like, oh, oh my gosh. I needed to get to like surviving, you know, I needed to get to, well, I maybe even like closer to thriving than I was. And I think like that's where I got and, and I love the idea of even being able to say that though, that maybe it doesn't have to be a custom blend forever. That it can be kind of these different options. And that probably is what I would even talk about. Can I get a pill that I don't have to, can I get, which, I mean, there's hundreds of multivitamins, right? Yeah. Sometimes it's just answering the question of which multivitamin works best for me? Like probably just Googling best multivitamin for women. Age 40 is not your best option because your needs are gonna be different than somebody else who is, is the same age and different lifestyle and different genetics and all the things. But if we can see on paper like, okay. Yeah, this one is more targeted to your needs, or this one isn't. It makes it pretty simple. Totally. We have a whole spreadsheet of all the differences. Oh, that's cool. And you know, it's like very easy to pick. So, yeah. But I think like this is. What is so great about what you do is like, the data just doesn't lie and there is an answer and a solution. Like I'm going and I'm looking at all of these multivitamins on my own right, and I have no idea I'm just like guessing. I'm guessing which one, like the bottle looks nice or what, which one is, mid range so that it's, I. I have no idea. And I love being able to, even with that, right? It's so much more intentional. I'm taking this exact multivitamin because it's exactly what my body needs. Like it's just, I don't know why this isn't like everywhere. Right? It would be so nice. It would, it honestly would save people a lot of time and a lot of effort into just know. Yeah, it's, yeah. A lot of just really that heartbreak that, that heartbreak to say I remember I literally, I said to my doctor, what else can we do? And they were like nothing. Like, I think it's just your age. You just, it's just fine like that. It is it's heartbreaking. It's absolutely heartbreaking. Okay. So I'm gonna be like, I'm gonna look like I'm five months pregnant every single day. And this is fine for you. I don't know. Yeah. I don't buy in. I'm glad I didn't buy it. I was just about to say that. I'm glad you didn't. I'm glad that sometimes Instagram has some positives of like finding solutions to things. Anything that we didn't cover that you think would be helpful for somebody listening who's curious about mineral testing or maybe skeptical or wants to maybe try it out for themselves? I think that in this day and age like there's a lot of we are going to just sell you a solution and. I think that a lot of us are skeptical about that because maybe even we've been burned or like I just can't be sold on anything anymore. And I just feel like this is so not that this is really taking like. What your body is doing and saying we're not gonna just sell you on our thing. We're going to help you based on what you actually need. And so I get why people, might be skeptical about stuff, but I just can we put this, can we, and it like completely different category of of stuff. I love that. Thank you for saying that. Yeah, that means a lot because it is hard. I mean, the internet is a wild, wild place right now. Welcome. I feel like people have lost trust in a lot of things because there is so much like quick fix this, quick fix that like this is gonna solve every problem that you have. And yeah, I'm not saying that minerals are gonna solve every problem that you have, but they do help. You know, they do make a difference. So only help to, I think for me it helped to then be able to do the other stuff, right? As things started to. Shift. I was more motivated to like, work out. I was more motivated to continue with the healthy eating that I am doing now. I have the energy to kind of run around with my kids, which is what I want. So I, matters and. To be told. And I think that's the other thing too, is it's really easy to just lose hope when you're told that there's nothing that you can do. And so I just think just because you are not the expert in that doesn't mean that you don't, you're not the expert in your own body. And if, if things don't feel right, like this could give you the answers that you've actually been looking for, you know? Yeah, I love it. Well, Lindsay, I know that you have an online business as well and maybe people wanna check you out. So tell us where like they can learn about you, find out about you. And thank you so much for jumping on today. This has been great. Yeah. So I am on Instagram under Married After Kids. You can also find my website www.marriedafterkids.com. And essentially I just help parents who are struggling in their marriage. Like it, there's a lot of systemic stress that is placed on a marriage after you have kids and no one teaches you how to. Navigate it. And so that is what I do is I help you navigate it. I help you to put the right tools and things in place to be able to not only function as a team, to just be really happy together. So it makes parenting easier, it makes life easier. Just everything gets easier. I love that. We all need that so much. Thanks, Lindsay. Absolutely. Thank you so much. I hope you enjoyed this conversation with Lindsay, and maybe it got you thinking about your own metabolism, your own stress, and why your body might be resisting weight loss, or you might just feel puffy or inflamed when your labs are coming back normal. One of the things that really stuck out to me with this episode was that. For Lindsay, it wasn't really the weight, it was just feeling totally out of control and being really given only super extreme options that were not sustainable. If you heard her story and thought, that is me, this is your reminder that you are not crazy, you are not broken, and there are answers.
