Many of us don't have a lot of understanding around trauma. We've been taught that it usually occurs when BIG stuff happens: War, Violent Crimes, Natural Disasters, Shootings, or other serious accidents. While those examples can certainly be traumatic, it is paramount to understand the impact of the smaller, chronic and consistent experiences on our bodies--along with the potential impacts of not acknowledging this for yourself. Let's talk about WHY knowing about trauma matters so much.
