Hello, my friends. Welcome to the Midlife Magic podcast. This is your host, Michelle Bazinet, and it has been a long while. I was just looking back to see when I recorded my last podcast, and I released it October 14th of 2024, so it's definitely been a while, and the nudge has been starting again to get back to podcasting.

I feel like I have So much more to share with you that I want to be able to create some episodes to share some great content with you guys. So I'm literally in my living room, not the best environment to record a podcast, but I feel like, you know what, I'm not going to hold back and think I need to have the perfect environment and the perfect setting to do this today.

I don't even have notes. I don't even have a specific topic of for me to talk about. I just wanted to come on and let you know I am back and kind of share with you what's been going on. So 2024 was a really great year. It was a, it was a year of me transitioning back into my profession of being a registered massage therapist.

And it was also a year of me. Building my coaching practice, which if you had listened to prior episodes, you know that this is something that I've wanted to do it for 20 years. I did my coaching training when I was Um, how old was I think I'd started teaching body pump at the same time. So that means 21 years ago, I first did coaching training, always wanted to coach, never did was to chicken to do it felt like I was able to do some coaching through my Arbonne business and left Arbonne in 2023 before I left Arbonne, I did do another coaching course in 2017 to be a certified health coach and decided in 2023 to start coaching.

And it was the scariest thing ever. And it was the kind of thing that I was like, I want to do it. I have no idea how to start. And I will tell you what the coolest thing is, is that I just started to do one little thing at a time. And it's like, when I did the one thing, the next thing would appear for me to do.

And then the next thing would appear for me to do. And I just slowly walked towards the next thing and was open to learning and growing and trying. So 2024  was a really pivotal year for me. I have always wanted to create some kind of coaching Membership and I decided to do a six week membership in the summer to give it a go, give it a trial, just get things started, get the juices flowing, kind of figure out what I wanted this to look like and it was amazing.

Now  , it was an amazing experience for me, and I do believe that the members in the membership did get something out of it. Did I deliver my best content? Could I have done better with it? Absolutely. But it got the ball rolling for me.  And I have now, we are now currently in my second three month membership.

So we did one membership for three months in October, October, November, December, and now January, we started our second one, and it, I'm very, I'm going to brag. I really think it's awesome.  I think it's a place where women can truly learn  so much. I, I truly believe that if women plugged in, dialed in, learned, um, was curious about implementing the things that I'm teaching, that they could build habits.

in their life that will have them feel incredible in their bodies. They will feel strong. They will feel empowered. They will have the opportunity to learn the tools to balance and manage their hormones. And it's a really,  really great membership. Um, in November, I also enrolled to do a course. Uh, it's a menopause coaching specialist certification, because I have decided to, yes, I am coaching women in their midlife years, but just adding that layer of knowledge with perimenopause menopause, because I know a lot of women are dealing with it.

And there are so many tools out there to come alongside women, uh, as their body changes. And there are things that you can do to help you feel amazing. So I do have a guest recording coming up. On the end of February, I will actually be recording with my naturopath and she is a part of the menopause society and we're going to talk all things menopause and perimenopause and hormone replacement therapy and the myths behind hormone replacement therapy and all of those things.

So my goal is to do one podcast episode a week. It could be five minutes. It could be 30 minutes. It could be an hour. I am just going to go with the flow again. I want to be able to deliver content. To you that will serve you that you will find value in to help you feel pretty damn amazing in these midlife years So, if you have any topics, anything in which you want to hear more about,  do not hesitate to reach out to me.

If you have girlfriends who are experiencing perimenopause, menopause, do me a favor, send this podcast to them so they can start following this podcast so they will be notified when a new episode is released because I will be delivering tips. and tricks to help them on their journey. My personal experience, I'll just give you a quick snapshot of it because I'm sure I will dive deeper into it another time, was that I started to experience perimenopausal symptoms in 2020.

Now 2020 was a nutso year for everybody, so I didn't realize that what I was experiencing was perimenopause, but the more I learned, the more I realized that it was. So I was experiencing things like brain fog, uh, really struggled with focus, had very heavy periods, was experiencing a lot of cramping with my periods, breast tenderness.

Those are some of the big things I would have some, some struggle with. Sleeping, And I was directed to see a naturopath because I was like, I need to do something like I want to make some changes and I am on a hormone replacement therapy currently taking estrogen only a very low dose. And what I love about the approach is the approach is this like we, the, the.

The hormones are prescribed to help your symptoms. So everybody's different. Everybody's symptoms are different. The dosage everybody needs is different. And what women need are different. Some women do not want to go on hormone replacement therapy, and that is totally fine. But what I recommend to women is that they not only seek out if hormone replacement therapy could help them.

Be curious about it. But more importantly, I actually want women to seek out lifestyle changes that they can make because surprisingly lifestyle changes can really change how you feel in your body and can really help support you. And your hormones,  when I was creating my membership last year,  and I created this concept called the seven pillars for effective weight management.

And as I was learning about my menopause and doing my certification, I recognized, you know what, the things that I teach for women for weight management is the exact same things that are being taught to help women through their menopause years.  So there is so much change happening in your body. I'm going to, I'm going to like not even go deeper into that right now.

Cause I want to come to you with more concise information. And I will say next episode will be about menopause, about what's happening in your body, the changes that are happening and what you can do to come alongside your changing body and help it. Okay, so share this with your girlfriends. Be sure to follow this, this podcast so you will be notified when a new episode comes out.

And ladies, do not hesitate to reach out to me and say, Hey, can you talk a little bit more about this? Or have you  come across this and share with me what you were experiencing for your midlife years? Because I'm sure my friend, not only are you experiencing it, but I'm, I'm, Confident that many other women are doing the same thing and I want to bring women together.

I want to bring women's messaging together and I want women to know and I want women to feel empowered that they can really take control of things in their life to help them feel incredible for their midlife years.  All right. Thank you for listening. I'm so excited to be back and I can't wait to be with you again next week.
