Hi.

In this episode I am going back to basics with two little words that still carry big emotional weight, Please and Thank You.

This isn't a nag, its a friendly reminder of the power these words have to build connection, show respect, and instantly make people feel seen.

Saying Please and Thank You is not just about good manners- it's emotional medicine for both the giver and the receiver.  And yes,  we're bringing back the hand written thank you note, because writing it down matters. Let's make Please and Thank You a daily habit again. They have always belonged together: Married for Life!

At the end of the day, please and thank you aren’t just polite words- they are simple ways to connect, to acknowledge each other, and bring alittle kindness back into everyday life. Hearing both these words feels good. It reminds us we are seen, and we are appreciated. And when you take the time to write a thank you note- NOT A TEXT OR EMAIL, something real, on paper in handwriting- you are giving back to the giver. You are saying “I received what you gave, and it mattered to me. And that kind of acknowledgment makes both people feel good. Honestly it’s just rude not to say please and thank you. PERIOD. Please  make it a daily habit- not just practicing gratitude, but asking nicely too. Remember, Please and thank you go together- one opens the door, the other closes it. One asks, the other receives. And both are about showing people they matter.

I will leave you with this: Gratitude costs nothing, Please and Thank you cost you nothing- and take nothing from you, and their impact is priceless. Take a few extra seconds- or a few extra sentences to say and write please and thank you.

Saying  thank you isn’t just etiquette – its emotional medicine.

A thank you note is essentially a health supplement for your soul.

Enjoy!
