“Drink more water”, It's on every  health tip list, every skin care book, and now all over socials.  But how many of us  actually think about why it’s so important that we drink more water, it’s not just for survival. water is the  one essential nutrient no person can live without . That is how vital water is.

Water isn’t just something we drink to survive- it’s the foundation of life inside us, Water is our body’s lifeline- every single system in your body depends on it. It is one of  the simplest, most powerful things we can do to protect our memory, keep our minds clear and our skin healthy & radiant.

In this episode I will talk about the incredible benefits of hydration, how its supports your energy, supports digestion, enhances skin health, and protects memory and mental clarity.

I will give you some practical tips for staying hydrated, the surprising effects of Dehydration, and why even toddlers need water for their brain development and learning.

It is said that 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated and don’t even notice.

Your body is about 65% water- now this isn’t just water sloshing around in there-  It lives in your cells, your blood, your lymph, your brain and even in your bones.  Water isn't just quenching your thirst, it's fueling your body, nourishing your skin, and keeping your brain sharp.

The real issue here isn’t overhydration- its underhydration, and the key is balance.

The amount of water needed by an individual varies, depending on body weight and level of daily physical activity.

The following is an easy formula to help you determine how much water is needed every day for maximum physical health:

Take your body weight  and cut it in half. The resulting number approximates how many ounces of water you should drink every day. For instance if you weigh 160 pounds you should drink 80 ounces of water a day. But remember, if you exercise, live in the heat, or drink coffee or alcohol, you will need to add more. Add 2 extra 8oz glasses of water to the final number. This will help replace extra fluids lost.

Did you know that one of the first places dehydration shows up is in the brain?

Our brain is a very special organ. Its like a sponge- soft and full of blood vessels and heavily dependent on fluid for its function. Our brain tissue is made up of about 75% water.  This water is helping neurons send signals which helps with learning, short term memory, and staying mentally sharp.

Water helps improve your mood& reduces anxiety-even the slightest dehydration can cause irritability or depressed mood, It will help balance the neurotransmitters and stress hormones. It boosts mental clarity and alternes. Water helps deliver nutrients to brain cells preventing brain fog. It also protects against headaches and migraines-water regulates blood flow and pressure in the brain reducing headache risks. AND it will reduce the risk of cognitive decline.

People who stay well hydrated have a lower risk of developing dementia and Alzheimer’s, the reason being is water helps maintain your vascular health. It supports nutrient delivery, and flushes out waste products that, if left to build up, damage brain tissue.

Whether you are looking to glow, think clearly, or just feel better, this episode will give you the simple, powerful tools to drink smarter and thrive from the inside out.

Enjoy!
