Fine Lines & Wrinkles: What Your Face and Neck Are Trying To Tell You!
Today's topic is: Fine Lines & Wrinkles what your face and neck are trying to tell you about your health.
Before we start- I just want say that this episode isn’t just for those of us who already have fine lines and wrinkles.
Whether you are in your teens, twenties, or thirties- basically if you are young, and your skin is still smooth tight and wrinkle free- this episode is for you too.
Think of this as preventive medicine- Learning how to read your face early and understanding what it is trying to tell you can help you age in a more natural way.
In Ancient Ayurvedic and holistic teachings, the face is seen as a map- a map that reflects your inner health, emotions, and even how your organs are functioning- And They see wrinkles not as flaws, but as signs, signals from the body about what’s happening beneath the surface. Every line, every crease, every bit of puffiness& shadow has a meaning. Your face is your body’s messenger.
In this episode, we are going to explore what those messages are saying from your forehead down to your neck- and what you can do naturally to support and soften the lines that appear over time with internal and topical remedies.
And please note, this isn’t about vanity. It’s about vitality! Meaning this isn’t about chasing youth or perfection. Vitality is your inner energy- your body’s natural glow strength and liveliness that comes from balance and good health. When you care for your skin holistically, you are really supporting your overall vitality- not just your looks.
Let’s talk about what you can do to support it naturally and simply- because at the end of the day, your face reflects the care you give your entire body.
#1-First and foremost- HYDRATE DEEPLY. Water is your skins best friend. Think of hydration as your INTERNAL moisturizer- it plumps, nourishes, and flushes toxins that contribute to dullness and lines.
#2-Eat Fresh colorful foods. Fruits, vegetables, seeds and healthy fats all feed your skin from within. Foods rich in antioxidants- berries, leafy greens, turmeric, and amla protect collagen and elastin, keeping your skin tight and bright.
#3- Sleep and rest- The skin regenerates at night. Missing sleep accelerates fine lines faster than most people realize
#4-Move your Body-exercise improves circulation, digestion, and hormone balance-everything your body needs to thrive
#5- Mind your thoughts- chronic worry or stress literally tightens facial muscles. Relaxing your inner body relaxes your outer body.
#6- My favorite and one I think helps a lot- MASSAGE- Massage your face daily- with all natural oils- a few minutes of gentle massage increases blood flow, tones muscles and activates your body’s natural glow.
The power of oils and massage:
Every one of your facial areas- your skin- loves OIL- It’s what keeps it soft, supple, and radiant. Natural oils are filled with nutrients that hydrate, protect and strengthen your skin barrier- and when you combine them with massage – you are doing more than moisturizing- you are stimulating your lymphatic system, increasing circulation and sending calm signals through your entire body.
For daily use I recommend Oils like Rosehip, sesame, almond, or jojoba-these are natural WRINKLE smoothers- they hydrate deeply and protect against aging without a single chemical or needle -and they can do more than your most expensive face creams- They are all completely safe to put on your eye lids and on your lips and mouth too.
Enjoy!
