Transforming Negative Thoughts to Positive

What is going on? Welcome to the next episode of the Fit and Healthy Sioux Falls Show. I'm your host, cj Workamp, and today we are transforming the negative thoughts that we all tend to have into positive thoughts that move us towards our goals. Let's dive in to today's episode. What is going on, my friends? Welcome to the next episode. This is going to be a great episode, and I know it's going to be a great episode because I posted a post in the Fit and Healthy University, which is our online health and fitness community, and it was a post with 50 different negative thoughts that could possibly pop up into your mind, and then it had 50 alternative positive thoughts that you could reframe that negative and really help move you in the right direction.

We all know that the thoughts that we have become the really foundation for the belief that we then have and go out and fulfill our day and fulfill the goals that we have. And if the thoughts that we have continually are negative and we're not actively swapping them out with a positive thought, those negative thoughts are going to move us unintentionally down a path that we don't want to go. So what you want to do if we know that negative thoughts pop up, and the truth is is they do. I don't care who you are myself, you, your friends we all have negative thoughts and, unfortunately, the most amount of negative thoughts we have are actually like negative towards ourself. It's like negative self-talk. And so if we want to achieve our health and our fitness goals, we have to believe that we truly can achieve them. But if we're always having thoughts that are negative and thoughts that are not making us believe that we have what it takes to achieve them, how are you going to achieve them? And so today we're going to go through a list of 50, that's right, 50 negative thoughts, and I'm going to give you a way that you can turn that negative thought into a positive thought, and so that that way, when a negative thought pops up in your head, you are armed, prepared and ready to replace it with a positive thought that can keep pushing you towards the goals that you have.

So I really would recommend, while listening or watching this episode, get a notebook out, because this is one where you might want to jot some of these down. Maybe I'll put them in the description also too all of them but they're just negative thoughts that pop up and maybe you don't mean for them to, but if we aren't ready to replace them, they take control and that's not okay. So let's dive in to the negative thought and then let's talk about the positive thought. We could already have ready to replace it. And again, I'm actually reading these right out of the Fit and Healthy University and some of them were even commenting that they took it and they made it into like a Google Doc or a PDF and they have it saved because it just is such a good help, reminding yourself how awesome you really are. So let's dive in Number one.

Number one I'm not good enough. That's a positive or a negative thought that might pop into your head, but a positive thought you can replace it with is I'm capable of becoming great. So, replacing I'm not good enough with I'm capable of becoming great Another one, number two I'll never succeed. If you ever have the thought and it pops up, I'll never succeed. I want to encourage you to replace it with I'm on the path to success with every step I take. It's the same thing. I'll never succeed. Well, right now you're not succeeding, but if you replace it with the positive thought of I'm on my way to success with every step that I take.

Number three I always fail. If that thought ever pops up in your head, replace that with I. Learn and grow from every challenge. So replace I always fail with I learn and grow from every challenge. What about this one? I'm too tired. We all feel that one right that pops up. I'm too tired. Well, we need to take that and replace it with I have the energy to push through and finish strong. And it's just that simple switching out of a negative thought to a positive thought. That's going to keep you going.

Number five it's too hard. If that thought ever pops up, squash it and we call these ants. We call them ants because it's an automatic negative thought. So if the ant it's too hard pops up, squash that ant and replace it with I am strong enough to handle hard things. I'm strong enough to handle hard things.

Number six I can't do this. Okay, that's a lie, totally a lie. You can replace it with I'm capable of overcoming any obstacle. So replace I can't do this with I'm capable of overcoming any obstacle. Number seven I'm not smart enough. Okay, we can replace that, the negative of I'm not smart enough. Replace it with I have the ability to lean sorry, to learn and improve every day. I have the ability to lean sorry to learn and improve every day. I have the ability to learn and improve every day. What about this one? I'm not worthy. So many times we have that thought of I'm just not worthy. We can replace that with I am deserving of success and happiness. What about this one? I'll never be like them. So many times that comparison is the thief of joy, so replace. I'll never be like them. So many times that comparison is the thief of joy, so replace. I'll never be like them with. I am on my own unique journey to success. I love that one. You are on your own unique journey to success. Don't worry about them. This is about you and it's your unique journey to success. Here's a good one I can't change. So many times we feel that I just can't change, and there's how you can replace that with I am evolving and improving every day. So many people think this I'm a failure, and I actually did a little mindset Monday on that one. We're not failures, and so taking I'm a failure and replacing it with I'm a work in progress, constantly growing, and so you have to be ready when these automatic negative thoughts pop up. You have to be ready to squash them and be prepared, be prepared. And so, really, what I will do is I'll put these down in the description, all of them, all 50 of them, and then what you can do is look through them and maybe some of them are going to pop up and resonate more with you as these pop up in my life more than the other ones. Maybe you take your top five and then you start memorizing and studying what you're going to replace the negative thought with. So when that pops up, you boom, replace it. Not even say it out loud. Say the positive one out loud. Here's another one Nobody likes me. Okay, replace that with I am surrounded by people who value and care about me. Because if you think that nobody likes you and that's a thought that keeps popping up and you don't actively replace it, you're going to start believing that, and the truth is is there are people around you that love you, that believe in you and want to see you win. So replace nobody likes me with I'm surrounded by people who value and care about me. 13, I don't deserve happiness. Replace it with I am worthy of all the happiness that comes my way. So you're replacing I don't deserve happiness with. I'm worthy of all the happiness that comes my way. I'm not talented enough. You ever thought that? Well, let's replace that with my unique talents and skills. Make me special. My unique talents and skills make me special. What if we replaced that? And we literally thought that every day, every time we thought I'm not talented enough. If we replaced it with my unique talents and skills, make me special. How awesome would you feel, knowing that you are unique and the things that are unique to you? They're actually what make you special. I love it. Let's keep going on. I've made too many mistakes. My mistakes help me grow and succeed. Right, we learn from the mistakes that we make. I don't have time. I make time for the things that matter to me, so replace I don't have time with the thought and the statement I make time for things that matter to me. I'm too old to start now. Have you ever heard that? Have you ever thought that I'm too old to start now? We're gonna replace that with it's never too late to make positive change. It's never too late to make positive change. Let's keep on going here. I got another one. Okay, 18, it's impossible. Have you ever thought something is impossible. Well, we're going to replace that with everything is possible with effort and belief that one is ended with, and belief. Everything is possible with effort and belief. So, are you putting in the effort to replace the negative thoughts that pop up in your mind? I'm not attractive. What about this one? You ever thought that you look in the mirror? You just think to yourself man, I'm not attractive. Well, replace that friend. Replace it with I love and appreciate my body for all that it can do. Okay, you can do so many great things. You are unique, you are special, and I want you to replace I'm not attractive with I love and appreciate my body for all it can do. Number 20, I'm not strong enough. Replace it with I'm stronger than I realize. Number 21, I'll never be fit. Okay, first off, never say never. We don't want to talk in absolutes, but we're going to replace I'll never be fit and we're going to replace it with with consistency, I can achieve my fitness goals. Moving on 22, I'm too scared to try. We're going to replace that to courage comes from trying and I am brave enough. I'm too busy? Okay, replace I'm too busy with. I prioritize what matters most to me. It's kind of like I don't have enough time but I'm too busy. Replace it with I prioritize what matters most to me. I'm stuck. We have that negative thought pop up, the thought of I'm stuck. Replace that with I have the power to change my circumstances. Replace I'm stuck with I have the power to change my circumstances. Replace I'm stuck with I have the power to change my circumstances. Moving on to the next one, 25, we're halfway there. No one will help me. Replace that with I am surrounded by people who want to see me succeed. Number 26, I'll never find love If you're lonely out there and you've ever had that thought of I'll never find love. Replace that with I am worthy of love and I will find it when the time is right. Number 27, I'm not creative. We're going to replace that to my creativity. First, you're going to say creativity right. So you're going to replace I'm not creative with my creativity flows when I give it room to grow. My creativity flows when I give it room to grow. Number 28, I can't afford to invest in myself. We're going to replace that with I am worth the investment in my own growth. Replace I can't afford to invest in myself to I am worth the investment in my own growth. Number 29, I'm not important. We're going to replace that with I'm valuable and my contributions matter. Friend, you need to believe it. You are valuable and your contributions matter. 30, I'll never be happy. We're going to replace that thought with I create my own happiness through my choices. Make the choices that will make your future self proud. I'm a burden. You ever thought like you're a burden or felt like you're a burden? Well, let's change that thought to. I add value to the lives of those around me and maybe, if you don't right now, saying that statement, I add value to the lives of those around me. It's gonna help you curate and think of ways that you can add value to those around you. The next one 32, I always mess up. Let's replace that with I'm learning from my experiences and improving every day. 33, I don't belong. Let's change that to. I am an important part of my community. 34, I can't handle this. Let's change that to. I have the strength and resilience to get through this. Number 35, I'm not brave enough. Let's change that to I have the courage to face my fears. Number 36, I'm just not lucky. We're going to squash that bad belief and we're going to replace it with I create my own opportunities through action. You must take action, friend. You have to own opportunities through action. You must take action, friend, you have to. I said this a while ago and I used to go to all the conferences. I used to go to all the meetings. I used to listen to all the podcasts and I'd have a notebook and I had so many amazing notes in that notebook. But what I found out is that I was actually an information gatherer. I gathered all the information, but in order for you to go from where you're at right now, today, to that next step, you have got to take action. So today, decide that you're not going to just hear these things, you're going to take action on them. Let's go to the next one. I'm too far behind to catch up. We're going to squash that. We're going to replace it with I can make progress at my own pace. Number 38, I'm unlovable. We're going to replace that with I am deserving of love and I give love freely. Number 39, I'm a disappointment. We're going to get rid of that altogether because you're not a disappointment, and we're going to replace that with I'm proud of who I am and what I've achieved. Number 40, you got 10 more to go. I can't take risks. You ever feel that way. I'm stuck where I am and I just can't afford to take that risk. Change that thought to I'm willing to take calculated risks for growth. I'm willing to take calculated risks for growth. I'm willing to take calculated risks for growth. Number 41, I'll never reach my goals, friend. Replace that belief with every step I take brings me closer to my goals. Start saying that, start believing that and start achieving the goals that you're after. Number 42, I'm not special. We're gonna replace that with I am unique and have something valuable to offer. Number 43, I don't have the willpower. People will say that you might think it. I don't have the willpower. We're gonna get rid of that and we're gonna replace it with I have the inner strength to stay consistent and committed. Next, I'm not disciplined, friend. We need to squash that belief. We need to replace that belief with I'm developing discipline every day. So take I'm not disciplined, get it out of your thought process and replace it with I'm developing discipline every day. 45. People will judge me. Get rid of that thought and change it to I'm confident in who I am, regardless of others' opinions. Get rid of it and change it. Okay, it doesn't matter, people will judge me. Squash it, get rid of it, eliminate it and start telling yourself I'm confident in who I am, regardless of others' opinions. 46, I'll never be successful Okay, we're going to replace that with success is a journey and I'm taking the right steps. So take I'll never be successful and replace it to success is a journey and I'm taking the right steps. Number 47, I'm afraid of failure Okay, and we're going to replace that one with failure is a stepping stone to success. So stop being afraid of failure and realize that failure is a stepping stone to success. 48, we're getting there. You guys, it's too late for me. If you've ever had the thought, or you ever believe, that it's too late for you, replace that with it's never too late to start fresh and achieve my dreams. You guys, wherever you're at, whatever it is that you wanna achieve, it's not too late, but you have to start taking action today. Number 49, I'm not confident. Let's replace that with I'm building my confidence with every challenge I face. If you ever think to yourself, or ever have that thought pop up, that I'm not confident, I want you to squash it, replace it and add in I'm building my confidence with every challenge I face. And 50, the last one I can't find balance. You ever thought that I can't find balance. Replace that thought. Establish a new belief of I'm capable of creating balance in my life. I'm capable of creating balance in my life. Now here's the thing that was 50 of them and we went over them relatively quick. I want you to know that any negative thought that pops up in your head, it's your responsibility, it's your obligation, it's your duty to take that negative thought, hold it captive, squash it, get rid of it and then replace it with a positive thought that's going to create a foundational belief system that you can stand on. That you can start to lean on and then you can start to step on towards the goals that you have. Your mindset is going to build the belief that you need in order to achieve success. And so if you're having negative thoughts pop up in your mind and you're not doing anything about them and you're letting them live there that is what's creating your belief system it's time that you start controlling the negative thoughts, squashing them, getting them out and then replacing them and refilling them with some of these thoughts I just gave you.
