In this episode of Root & Restore, I’m reflecting on a season of life I’m only just beginning to understand — the transition from Mother into Crone.

Inspired by If Women Rose Rooted by Sharon Blackie, I explore the Maiden, Mother and Crone through the lens of Ayurveda,  from the grounding Kapha years, through the fire and doing of Pitta, and into the spaciousness and wisdom of Vata.

I share what it feels like to watch my children grow into their own lives, to loosen my grip on who I thought I was supposed to be, and to reconnect with my Celtic roots and the parts of myself that feel older and deeper than this lifetime.

And, of course, I talk about Africa, and the pull toward Namibia that has only grown stronger since coming home. A reminder that sometimes our dharma doesn't arrive as a perfectly laid-out plan. Sometimes it's simply the quiet voice that keeps calling us back.

Maybe aging isn't something we need to fight.

Maybe this season is an invitation to shed, remember, listen and trust.

To become less concerned with who the world thinks we should be... and more rooted in who we have always been.

🌿 Keep living in rhythm… not resistance.
