FED Warns Of Stagflation

Today in Mortgages

Welcome back, Dreammakers, to Today in Mortgages! In this episode, hosts Michael and Richard talk about Jerome Powell's press conference in Washington. Rates did not change today - but no one was expecting that - citing a steady economy with maximum employment.

However, there is a lot of uncertainty about the future. Stagflation was discussed which is slow or negative economic growth due to higher unemployment and higher prices. No one knows what will happen to employment with the onset of tariffs. Powell wants to keep rates steady because of the uncertain future.

Listen in as we discuss this and more!
