Part 5 of The Angry Brown Girl Club Series:

Welcome to part 5/5 of the "Angry Brown Girl Club" Series. Over the last four episodes, we’ve unpacked the deep-seated power dynamics and historical patterns that shape relationships between white women and women of color. We’ve explored the ways whiteness is protected, the contradictions that arise in friendships, workplaces, and advocacy spaces, and the uncomfortable reality of performative allyship. We’ve also examined internalized racism—how it shows up in our communities, how it keeps us policing each other, and how it reinforces the very systems we are trying to break. This series was never about blame—it was about accountability. About seeing the patterns for what they are and choosing to disrupt them. Hopefully, this wasn’t just another DEI program. Hopefully, it was a resource—an opportunity to learn from lived experiences, recognize our own behaviors in real time, and sit with the discomfort long enough to create real change.

But real change doesn’t come from just reading the books, watching the films, or listening to the podcasts—it’s about what we do with this knowledge. It’s about how we apply it in everyday moments, in tough conversations, and in the spaces where silence has been the default. It’s about what comes next.

As we close this chapter, I leave you with this: When the moment comes, will you freeze, deflect, or choose to do something different?
