Speaker 1:

Hello, hello and welcome back everybody to Compounding Daily. I'm your host, miguel Sanchez, and welcome to another episode, the first .5 out of the many episodes that have already come out, and there's a special reason for that. For episode 99.5, we're gonna keep it one under 10 minutes Two. The second half of the episode will be focused on a huge announcement that is moving the community of compounding daily together as we expand and grow. So this is something I'm very, very excited about, so excited that I once again have butterflies when it comes to the idea of this becoming a reality. But I'll save that for the end. And, uh, here with me to be part of a short conversation filled with with value and to help me make the announcement, is my lovely fiance hello welcome back thanks for having me it's always a pleasure, um.

Speaker 1:

So, first and foremost, let's get the rituals out of the way right. The the purpose of 99.5, episode 99.5, is an announcement, but it would feel wrong for me to just say, hey, this is the announcement and that's the episode this week, good luck. But you'll understand why the 0.5 is there later. But I still want to give the rituals, I still want to uh, do the things that are a big part of the show for me, because the purpose of the show is to get you in the right state of mind as you grow and as you go through your day-to-day basis. Right, and most episodes actually every episode has been released on a Monday morning at 5 am, and for some people that's really early. But my goal, with episodes being released that early, the goal is very simple early. The goal is very simple. The idea is that I catch you before you begin your day so that the conversation that we may have even though you're not talking to me here directly, I may be a whisper in your ear that reminds you of the positive attitude that you get to entertain, the conversations that you're having with yourself, the conversations that you're having with your friends, the importance of a healthy body and a healthy mind, the importance of the things that you start listening to first thing in the morning. And if what you're listening to is sometimes, I'm sure, is dull, but sometimes listening to a podcast just like this one is what will get you centered to begin the day. And if you're not, if you're like most people, if you're average right, if you're what I consider mediocre, then you're waking up on Monday with a lack of ambition and the thought is just oh, it's Monday, can it be Friday yet? Is it Friday yet? Is Monday almost over? Oh, the beginning of another week.

Speaker 1:

And most people approach their whole life like that and before you know it, they're old, energy is depleted, they have too much responsibilities, and now they're not enthusiastic about anything. And now they just say things like is it Friday yet? Or they tell you their retirement countdown. You know, and I love to be the person that's telling you, don't fall for that trap, don't settle in that, because most people who settle in that choose to stay there and therefore create their own misery. And if you're listening to this, chances are you're working on yourself to not allow that to become your reality. So all that to simply say happy monday, let's win the day. Let's get going let's do it oh, that's ironic, isn't it?

Speaker 2:

I've been holding in a cough this whole time, yeah.

Speaker 1:

I told her. I told her no coughing while we were recording, because we're both getting over a cold Connected Right, and here I am now coughing, so I apologize for that.

Speaker 1:

But let's get right into the quick topic. This is going to be like a two minute section, but I want to emphasize a little bit on what I spoke about this morning on my morning message. This morning I put on my morning message and if you follow me on instagram, that this is what you would have listened to and that it was titled stop hoping and start planning. And as you're listening to this, it is now going to be what december 28th, 29th- around there, the 30th, the 30th tomorrow's the 30th already, all right.

Speaker 1:

So, as you're listening to, this is, this is december 30th, which means in two days, a brand new year begins, and the idea that I want to emphasize on the most is the idea that if you think that hope and faithful wishing are going to get your goals achieved in 2025, then I'm here to tell you that you are delusional and that is not going to happen. And and I used to be in a position where, if you spoke to me like that, I'd be like well, you know, honestly, quite honestly, fuck you, dude, you don't know, you don't know that Maybe my hoping is working for me. But understand that I'm speaking from my experience, and I'm sure Juliana here could vouch for her own experience as well. But your life doesn't start getting better until you start getting things in order and I don't mean that as just tidying up your house and cleaning your car, even though that is part of it but I'm talking about the things that you linger in your mind.

Speaker 1:

And if you don't start decluttering your mind to a point where you start organizing it to like okay, physically, this is what I want to achieve and career-wise, this is what I want to achieve In my social life, this is what I want to achieve, and career-wise, this is what I want to achieve. In my social life, this is what I want to achieve. Then you're not ever really going to start making yourself a coherent person. You're always just going to be hoping that big success is waiting for you somewhere, but you just don't know where because you never have a plan for anything. You want to emphasize on that before I just continue going.

Speaker 2:

I mean you're on a roll, but I mean how can you? How can you? Succeed towards your goals without having a plan right? How can you say, okay, I'm going to start this journey of I don't know weight loss, just because it's the first thing that pops into my head all the time?

Speaker 2:

right, it's a big goal that people have commonly, especially with the new year rolling in. It's like first thing that pops into my head all the time right, it's a big goal that people have commonly, especially with the new year rolling in. It's like how can you plan to be on a weight loss journey which, if you're doing it, the right way, will be for the rest of your life? Right, changing your habits If you don't prep your food for the next day, you don't go grocery shopping, you don't have an idea of what you're going to be eating, what kinds of foods you know, what are your calorie intake look like?

Speaker 1:

What's your activity level going to be? The finer the details, the more likelihood of success.

Speaker 2:

Exactly, and it's like you can't just guess these things. If you're serious about your goals, you're going to take serious action towards them. You're going to look into things and get the details do the research, et cetera. And it's not just about weight loss, of course. It's about anything.

Speaker 1:

You want to move forward in your career.

Speaker 2:

You want to add weight to your squat at the gym? Okay, Scientifically speaking, you have to then do certain things add certain numbers of weights, certain reps, all of that. You have to strategically plan and Follow those plans in order to make those goals a reality.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, you have to know who you are and what you want. And until you're able to answer that, you're not going to be able to answer jack shit. And the analogy of the boat is always what I go to when it comes to proper planning. Right, because they say you can put a boat out in the ocean and if it has a destination it'll get there. Right, because it knows where it's going. But imagine a boat leaving the harbor, ocean. And if it has a destination, it'll get there. Right, because it knows where it's going. But imagine a boat leaving the harbor and they're like all right, captain, where are we going? And he's like I don't know but I hope we find land yeah, I just hope we find land at some point.

Speaker 1:

We're just going in that direction, like are you moving? Sure, but you're not aiming at anything and it's spinning around yeah, just just hoping, and and it wasn't.

Speaker 1:

Again, from my own experience, I'm I wish that I could say like, oh, everything worked out for me. Most of my life I didn't have a plan, and guess what? Most of my life was chaos. I'd wake up, tell you what. I'll give you the best example of what changes when you have plans.

Speaker 1:

I promise on everything that I love that I haven't said this sentence in exactly probably going on three years now. I'm bored. I have not. I have been incapable of saying that Because I have so much going on. Why? Because I have goals I've set for myself and I've told myself, okay, to achieve this goal, what is required of me. And if you ask Miguel, hey, miguel, what's the goal for the podcast 2025? I'm telling you. What's the goal for bodybuilding in 2025? I'm telling you what's the goal for your plumbing career in 2025?. I'm telling you what's the goal for your relationship in 2025? I'm telling you Because the goals are set. So I know what I'm aiming for. I know what I'm aiming for, I know what's required of me, I know what actions I have to take. So the likelihood of me achieving such goals are now, statistically speaking, a lot higher than the individual who says, hey, yeah, for New Year's I'm going to the gym. Great, that's a goal. What gym? Oh, I don't know. I haven't looked yet. Oh, then you're already messing up.

Speaker 2:

What's your goal at the gym? Oh, I'm not sure. I just want to get in better shape, Right, but are you going to do that through strength training?

Speaker 1:

HIIT workout classes. There's different options to take Yoga, rock climbing Are you going to be a runner?

Speaker 2:

Are you going?

Speaker 1:

to be a powerlifter.

Speaker 2:

When was the last time you went to the doctor to into your goals a lot further than people understand. I believe in my opinion. I agree, so just keep that in mind If you really are serious about a goal, take the steps and required actions to actually make progress towards them. I think this is a great conversation to have right as we enter the new year, where everybody's going to be talking about their goals.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, stop hoping, start planning. The better the plan, the more likelihood of you succeeding in that plan. It's very simple and I wish that personal development was this crazy thing that I can just be like guys, don't worry about it. I discovered the secret. But there is no secret.

Speaker 1:

I've read hundreds of books that all said the same thing in different ways and without goal setting, without the proper people surrounding you, without being mindful of the conversation that you have with yourself, nothing is going to work out for you. And I don't say that like making assumptions. I say that because it's been proven time and time and time again that the people who succeed and win at life at high levels don't get there with their fingers crossed and hoping that shit works out. Are there situations that are so difficult that you're just like, oh, I don't know how I'm going to get out of this one? Absolutely, and we've been there plenty of times.

Speaker 1:

But but overall, we each have individual goals and we're working towards them, and that is what is carrying us into 2025 with enthusiasm, because we've done it and proved to ourselves, year after year now, that when we say we're going to do something, we do it. So when you say you're going to do something? Are you going to do? It is the most important question and, with that being said, that's the episode in regards to the value. We went a little over 10 minutes, but that's my episode in regards to the value. We went a little over 10 minutes, but that's my fault because I was going a little rant that's not the main purpose of this episode yeah, exactly, but the main purpose of this episode is very simple.

Speaker 1:

Uh, for episode 100, we are going live, and I don't mean just live on instagram, I mean we are going to do an in-person live recording of episode 100, and it's not just going to be me and juliana, it are going to do an in-person live recording of episode 100.

Speaker 1:

And it's not just going to be me and Juliana, it's going to be me, juliana, samer, gino, amanda, chris, trey, big Mike, and we're going to end up just getting even people who haven't been on the show before. I know Andrew said he's going, my boy Tom is going, my boy Jose is going. So it's going to be this big event where, if you've been listening to the show for a while, then what you're going to see is in person a bunch of the people who have been on the show, which I don't just consider friends, I consider people that are the very reason as to why I am who I am today. They each played a big part in my life and I wouldn't have them on the show, let alone be around me, if it wasn't quality people. You know. I know Juliano's going to be there with me, 100% that day, of course I'll be there.

Speaker 1:

And let me paint the scenario for you. There's going to be at Legacy Training Center in Middletown. Yes, we're going to be there in person. Yes, there's a public event. So, please, if you're listening and you've ever wanted to be a part of the show, or you just wanted to ask a question, or you just wanted to be surrounded by good energy, then this is the place to be. So if your plan is to get so hungover on New Year's Eve, I mean drunk.

Speaker 1:

I mean, yeah, so drunk on New Year's Eve, understand that you have at least until one o'clock, because that's when it's going to begin one o'clock to sober up. And, regardless of the fact if you can't be there, we're also going to be sharing links as to where you can see it live, because we're going to be live on Facebook, we're going to be live on Instagram. This is going to be our first episode ever on YouTube, which is why we're doing it live. There's going to be cameras set up, lighting set up, mic set up, table set up, desktop set up. I got a huge, huge, huge favor from a friend who's going to produce the whole thing for me, so it's a learning experience for me. Is it gonna be great? I don't know. There might be some little kinks that need to be fixed, but what I can guarantee is a room full of energy, of people enthusiastic just to be around each other and to have conversations just like the one we just had. And if you've ever wanted to ask a question, question, if you ever wanted to be a part of this, then this is the time to do it. And regardless of the fact, even if you just show up to get a workout.

Speaker 1:

It's in episode 100. That means 100 weeks have passed since the show has began and I can't even begin to emphasize how grateful I am for you. So I've said it for a while that moving into 2025, the theme of the podcast for me is gonna be expansion. So there is no better way to expand and to start being a little bit more interactive with the audience than my morning messages and my one episode a week. So we're gonna start working on releasing more episodes live on YouTube. I'm gonna start hitting that live button a little bit more and essentially, this whole event again is at Legacy Training Center in Middletown. That's all you got to type in. It'll pop up. I believe it's like 749 Westbrook or.

Speaker 1:

Saybrook, something like that and I just always type in Legacy, you know? Oh, I am wearing the shirt and this is the logo, if you can see that right.

Speaker 2:

So it's a great community of people.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

You know everybody's very friendly. You know if you're looking for a friendly, clean gym, that you know is a judgment-free zone, not like Planet Fitness, but a judgment-free zone literally, and you know you're a little nervous to maybe start hitting weights or just to start your fitness journey. This is a great place to start. You know everybody's awesome. Everybody's really friendly and talkative. It makes going to the gym even more enjoyable, right? You get the endorphins, you get a great workout and you get to meet some great people. So even if you just come to check out the gym and say hello, stop by.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, absolutely so. With that being said, that's the big announcement. I'm overly enthusiastic about it. I'm overly enthusiastic about it. I'm super nervous, as you should be, because for the first time you know, I'm going to be in front of a crowd again, and this time there's going to be cameras and microphones and everything's going to be live. So there is no Pause. That, what was I saying? There's just Talking.

Speaker 2:

Raw, authentic Energy. This is 100 weeks Of preparation that you've had.

Speaker 1:

So I'm really excited for this. So if you're listening to this and you know I consider you a friend, if you're listening to this and you've wanted to ask a question, if you're listening to this and you're in the area, stop by, say hello. Chances are, if you have a good question, you're going to be on the podcast, you get to sit down with me, you get to sit down with guests that have been there before the question. This isn't a uh, the get to know miguel event. This is a community of compounding daily coming together, and I I love to see them mingling.

Speaker 1:

I love for people to get to know each other and to understand that together we create a ripple right, a ripple of productivity, a ripple of enthusiasm, a ripple of good energy, and that's been my goal to surround myself by quality people. So to know that I'm finally hosting an event, with the help of my friends, of course. Thank you Trey, thank you Mike, thank you everybody who's been a big support. It's becoming a reality, which is actually the motto of Legacy Training Center, so it's full circle. I'm very grateful. I'm truly looking forward to it. You got anything else to add to that?

Speaker 2:

no, I'm really excited. All right well, great way to start the new year absolutely yo. And it is the first, is literally the first day of the year so it's weird that it falls on a wednesday, like we were talking about today right because it's like everybody has like a lot of resolutions and usually it's a really packed day at the gym but, it falls on a a Wednesday, so it's like yeah, they don't show up till about Monday.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, exactly Even if it's packed, I welcome the people and I welcome the questions and everything.

Speaker 2:

So I'm really excited.

Speaker 1:

So, with that being said, let's wrap it up. I truly look forward to seeing you there and until next time and hopefully next time is in person- Bye.
