EP112- Without EFFORT there is NO Progress! (13minsolo)

Miguel Sanchez Episode 112

Lets us know your thoughts thru TEXT!

Fear accompanies EVERY worthwhile pursuit.

What matters most is how we respond to that fear. Do we let it paralyze us, or do we acknowledge it while continuing to move forward? The key distinction is understanding that extraordinary accomplishments don't require extraordinary people...

They simply require ordinary people willing to put in extraordinary effort!

Many of us drift through life making unintentional choices, hoping for lucky breaks that rarely come. But true progress happens when we wake up with purpose, aligning every decision with our larger vision. The momentum we build, the progress we experience, and the speed at which we transform our lives all depend on one critical factor: the deliberate effort we invest in our daily choices.

Life inevitably brings challenges – illness, loss, setbacks – but these aren't valid excuses to abandon our dreams. They're simply chapters in everyone's story that we must navigate while maintaining our forward momentum.

Make your CHOICE to what kind of fear would you rather face – the temporary discomfort of pushing beyond your comfort zone or the permanent regret of a life half-lived? Imagine reaching the end of your journey only to realize how much time you wasted, how many opportunities you missed, all because you weren't willing to put in consistent effort. That's the thought that should drive us to commit to that daily 1% improvement that, over time, compounds into remarkable transformation.

Commit to stop making excuses.

Your extraordinary life is waiting on the other side of your committed effort.

Speaker 1:

Hello, hello and welcome back everybody to Compounding Daily. I'm your host, miguel Sanchez, and welcome back to another episode. As always, I always start expressing gratitude by simply saying thank you. Thank you for being here, thank you for sharing the content, thank you for being a part of my journey, thank you for taking the time aside to sit down and listen to these sort of topics and conversations, especially lately where I'm just recording a bunch of solo episodes and, with that being said, today is another solo episode. It's been done on purpose.

Speaker 1:

I've been focusing a lot lately on my time management and, for the sake of everything that I got going on in my life, I like to sit down. I don't have to worry about the scheduling of a guest. I don't have to worry about anybody else showing up. It's just me, my thoughts, the things that I'm experiencing, the ideas that are pushing me forward, the things that are helping me in my current situations, with the hopes that, as you listen to it, you get some form of value from it. So, with that being said, thank you for being here and let's get right into it. Let's get the rituals out of the way.

Speaker 1:

There is a reason why I release an episode every Monday at five in the morning, and it's very simple. Most people wake up dreading the Monday morning. They wake up dragging their feet. The frown is there, their head is dragging and they're telling themselves today is not gonna be a good day. I can't believe the weekend has gone by. Is it a Friday yet? Oh my God, I hate my life, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. If you are listening to this, chances are you are the kind of individual that has decided that you want to work on your life. And I speak from my own experience when I say that there is no better gift or no better superpower than the one where you get to decide what attitude you're going to bring. And on this beautiful Monday morning, you're either bringing a positive attitude, enthusiastic attitude, a person who, despite going through difficulties because we all have those you're still showing up and radiating that good energy, that contagious energy that I don't care if it's Monday, wednesday or Friday energy, and that makes you a rare individual. So now the next challenge becomes in defending yourself, making sure that, when you are showing up with a good attitude, the negative attitude of others isn't weighing you down, isn't dragging you down, isn't putting poison into your mind. Yes, it's Monday, but I believe every day brings with it the ability to give you a gift and with that gift, you get to make the choices and with those choices, you get to dictate how much you're going to get done. It doesn't matter the day yes, it's Monday, but let's win together A short episode today, as they've all been lately. A short episode today, as they've all been lately.

Speaker 1:

I don't know how much in depth I'm going to go in with this topic that I have in mind at the moment, but, as of late, I've been getting asked this question a lot, now that the bodybuilding show is less than two weeks away. Just about a week and a half ago, I did two keynote speeches at a state university and for people observing, they tend to ask are you nervous, are you worried when you're going to go through these things that most people fear? And my answer to that is absolutely, absolutely. Understand something I always stem everything that I speak from from the foundation of. Miguel is just a regular guy. There is nothing special about him. So everything that you're seeing via social media and the things that I'm telling you I wanna emphasize on the fact that there is nothing extraordinary about the things that I'm doing. It is the understanding that I have a vision for what I want my life to look like, and then I get to wake up every day and make the choice as to whether I'm going to pursue that or not. And since that is how I approach my life, yes, those things scare me, but are those things not the very things that I've desired? Are those things not the very things that I've been working for? So today's topic is focused on one thing effort, and that's so simplistic. That's why I don't think I could go into an in-depth episode about it.

Speaker 1:

But I want you to understand something the momentum in which you move, but the progress which you are experiencing and the speed at which you're gaining these things are all determined by the amount of effort that you're putting into your decisions. Understand who you are now listening to. This is an accumulation of the choices you've made throughout your life, of the choices you've made throughout your life. If you are an average person which, if you're listening to this, you're not right, but if you are an average person then chances are that most of the decisions you've made throughout your life have never been intentful. They've always been on a whim.

Speaker 1:

I'm gonna wake up and see what today brings. I'm hungry, I'm gonna go eat. You get what I'm saying. But it's very rare to find an individual that wakes up and says today, I know exactly what I need to get done. Today. I'll make sure that every choice that I make is directly correlated to the goal I have in mind. Today is another day where, by making small, good decisions, I can build momentum in the right direction for my life. Those are the things that I'm talking about. That takes effort. We all have dreams, we all have goals, we all have things that we want to accomplish, but most of us are only dreaming about it. We're only half-assing our way through life, just hoping that one day we get a lucky break. And I'm here to tell you that that is a bad plan and you're probably gonna be led to disappointment.

Speaker 1:

So what has to change? What has to change first and foremost is the acceptance that there are many things out of your control and the understanding that the things that are within your control will get you to where you need to go, but it won't be easy and it won't be overnight. So what can you really control? The amount of effort you're putting into your decisions, the understanding that days are passing you by and with those days you're either moving forward or regressing. You're either aiming at something bigger than yourself or you're simply going through the motions, what I like to call you're on a hamster wheel, but you're not really moving. You're not going anywhere. Don't settle there.

Speaker 1:

We all I believe personally can create an extraordinary life, and those lives will look different for every single one of us, but one thing will remain the same for everybody, and that is going to take an insane amount of effort and willpower to overcome the distractions, to overcome the failures, to overcome the negative emotions, to overcome the failures, to overcome the negative emotions, to overcome the opinions of others, to overcome the fear of failure, the fear of anxiety, the fear of judgment, the fear of poverty, the fear of illness. These are all things that we all experience. It is not unique to one or the other, and the difference between those people that I just described and the people who are winning at life is because they never gave up. They treat every day as an opportunity. They wake up and they say today I'm giving it my maximum effort. Today my life has meaning. Today I get to decide in which direction my life goes and nobody controls that except me. What a beautiful place to be.

Speaker 1:

So when people ask me are you afraid? Of course I'm afraid. I'm doing things I never thought I'd be doing before. It's my first time. For a lot of them, fear is going to be present. But how do I calm the fear? Well, I am doing the best to my ability. I am checking the boxes. I am doing everything within my control to make sure that I am the best version of myself when I step on the stage to do the things that I've dreamed of doing for years and years to come. So the fear is there, but as I reflect on my life, I know the effort that I've put into it. I know the energy. I know the pain that I've experienced and had to overcome.

Speaker 1:

And this isn't a oh Miguel's, a special story. This is a. You've overcome pain, You've have experienced difficulties in your life and now you get to decide what you're going to do with those experiences. Please stop allowing time to pass you by. Please stop making excuses, trying to justify your lack of effort. Right Anything that comes out of your mouth.

Speaker 1:

When somebody says are you pursuing your dream? Chances are. It's an excuse. It doesn't matter if it's because your child was born. It doesn't matter if it's because your child was born. It doesn't matter if your mother's sick, it doesn't matter if your best friend passed away. And listen, oh my God, did he just say that? Yes, I just said that, because all of those things are part of life. Loved one dies, illness and sickness are part of it. Pain and misery are chapters in everybody's book.

Speaker 1:

But what we get to decide is, despite the pain and misery that is part of this beautiful gift called life, how much effort are we intentionally putting into our everyday, into our life, into our daily decisions? It matters, and most people think that they can just go hard for a month and say, well, I didn't see any progress, that's barely touching the tip of the spear, that's barely gaining momentum. Keep moving forward, keep building momentum and, most importantly and most importantly, don't give up on putting effort to where it matters. We only have so much energy to give and I believe that over time, with enough practice, we all can get very good at seeing where our energy needs to go in order for us to make progress as individuals. And that's the episode. That's all I have in my mind.

Speaker 1:

Doing new things are scary. Pursuing your dreams is scary, settling in mediocrity and remaining average is scary. It's all scary. You just got to decide what's scary you want to experience, and I rather experience the fear of doing something new, the fear of stepping onto a dream, the fear of getting anxiety because I'm pushing myself into a state of discomfort. I rather experience that than experience the fear of getting to the end of my life, and I'm filled with regret. And most of all, oh, this thought bothers me so much.

Speaker 1:

Imagine getting to the end of your life and, as you're reflecting on it, all you see is memories of all the time you've wasted. All the times you sat in front of the TV, eating the unhealthy foods, not reading the books, surrounded by small people, letting opportunities pass you by, never moving forward, remaining in the job you hate, surrounded by people you dislike. And you just had to put in a little bit of effort and things could have been different if you simply gave a fuck about your life. And yes, it matters, the little things matter. I speak about it all the time. The 1% Aim for that 1% every day, and most people think 1%. Well, that's easily attainable. It is, but it requires effort. And if the following day that effort isn't there, you've lost that 1%. Become consistent, become disciplined and accept the reality of this gift called life. Without effort, progress won't be made. Thank you for listening and until next time.
