Episode 10 - Can I get pregnant with scoliosis?
Jul 10, 2023

For this episode, we have Dr. Meghan Teed, a physical therapist who treats people with scoliosis from all over the world. What we will be sharing with you is if you can get pregnant with scoliosis.

We wanted to talk about this after a 36-year-old woman named Tasha from Northern Virginia wrote, “Dr. Mary, I’ve had scoliosis my whole life and I have been fearful of getting pregnant because of it. What can I do to prepare my body for pregnancy? Or is it off the table?”

So, in this episode, we will be sharing with you the answer to Tasha’s question. She is not the first one to ask this because Dr. Meghan shared that this is a common question from people with scoliosis. They have been told by their doctors that it is not possible for them to get pregnant because having scoliosis allegedly affects fertility rates. This is totally untrue because 80 percent of Dr. Meghan’s patients have gone through pregnancy and successful deliveries.

If you are wondering about being pregnant with scoliosis, too, this surely is the episode for you!

Let’s talk about:

00:38 – Introducing our guest for today and what she does

01:08 – How Meghan and I met
