Dressing Your Spirit | The Power of Energetic Choices and Transformation
In today's episode we open the door to a unique wardrobe—the one that dresses your spirit. We invite you to consciously select your 'energetic outfit' every morning. Just imagine the confidence boost from your favorite outfit or the power stance you strike in that sleek car, and translate that into the unseen world of vibes and aura. We're tackling topics from breaking free of routine to the psychological connections between our physical choices and our inner energy. It's not just about what you wear; it's about the energy you decide to carry with you.
There's been so many examples of highly successful individuals who explain like what they first started doing at the very beginning to get to where they are now, and I it never fails. Over. 90% of what I hear them say is I was looking out to others to see what they were doing. When you talk about Pinterest for your outfit, it's the same thing. You go out and like, seek what others are doing and you can emulate that, but you'll turn it into your own thing. It's such a deep pattern that so many successful people have. They started off by looking around at the people who were successful doing the things that they wanted to do, and they just started doing all those things.
Speaker 2:Welcome to A Little Alignment. If you enjoy what you hear today, if you gained some value from our episode, please leave us a good rating and review at the end. Every single review counts. It really does make a difference. We would appreciate it with all our hearts. We're so glad y'all are here with us, helping us create a little more alignment in the world.
Speaker 1:Hello and welcome to today's podcast. We're going to be talking about something fun that is empowering, that is. I think it's exciting, just like every other thing, that we talk about today.
Speaker 1:But this one is cool because it is putting you in the driver's seat, is giving you the power of choice on how you want to show up in your life and the energy that you want to show up with specifically, and so Kendra brought this idea up the other day and she had a really cute analogy for it. It's like choosing your energetic outfit for the day, so I know this is going to resonate really well with all the girly girls out there.
Speaker 2:And the girly boys. We love you oh yeah, yeah, absolutely.
Speaker 1:So, looking at it, you can actually select your energy that you want to step into for the day, just the way you can select your outfit, yeah and you know what's fun?
Speaker 2:Because there's a lot of stuff out there about the power of clothing and the way you dress really affecting how you show up. Like I remember I had a math teacher who would give us extra credit for showing up on test day in our Sunday best. Really. Yes, oh my gosh, because he said it's proven that there's a psychological connection there when you dress your best, you actually perform better.
Speaker 1:Oh my God, this is so true. Even so, this was fun when Rob shared this with me. When I was trying to buy a new car, there was, we had been traveling for a while and I had already sold my car before we left, and so we came back and I had been without a car bill for like a car payment for years, because I had already paid off my car and then I didn't have a car for a while, and so I was like, okay, what do I need? And I was looking for a car that was, like you know, reasonable, practical, very practical, yeah. And then I saw this Lexus and I was like she's beautiful.
Speaker 2:We like her, but we don't need her.
Speaker 1:And I was like, well, let's just go and sit inside. And I was like, oh my God, it's so pretty. And I was like it would be so amazing to have this car someday, but I just don't, like, I don't need it. And then Rob was like you know, somebody once told me that the way you show up completely changes depending on like the car you're driving, like. It actually changes the way that you approach things and how you're feeling. And I was like, oh, okay, well, I definitely feel a lot different in this Lexus than I was in like the Honda or whatever it was that I was looking at before. And there was so much truth to it because now, looking back, I felt so powerful when I had that car. I mean, my car now is great, I love it, still amazing. But that Lexus, like it, made me so happy because I always felt like such a badass, because it was like the first nice car I bought myself and I showed up so differently. So it does change everything, yeah, everything.
Speaker 2:Every car in the clothes, people. But if you take that into, like, use those things as the analogy for the energy, right, what you're stepping into that day on purpose, like choosing it, will affect how you show up in your life. It'll affect the way that you interact with people, it'll affect the way that you feel and your confidence and all that right. And the thing that is so exciting is that we really do have that much of a choice. We're not a victim to our energy, any more than we are to our thoughts, any more than we are to our circumstances. Right, we are creative, we are that powerful. And it starts with just experimenting with simple stuff like this, like, what is the energetic outfit I wanna wear today? And I was telling you, lauren, that sometimes, when it comes to clothes, sometimes I'll get on Pinterest for inspiration, right?
Speaker 1:Cause I'm like.
Speaker 2:I don't know, you know, I know, I have an idea of you know the vibe that I'm going for in my outfit today.
Speaker 1:Or you also like get in a rut with clothes, like sometimes I feel like I get used to wearing certain things and I can see the same thing being for how you show up energetically. You just kind of get into a pattern.
Speaker 2:Right, you kind of sleepwalk through it right, I just go on, repeat, on repeat, on repeat. So, when you're ready to take back your power in this arena, which can be any day and every day, you get to choose and reinvent yourself every single day. Some people talk about this like. Well, actually, I'll get back to that. Let me finish my Pinterest analogy before I get ahead of myself.
Speaker 2:So, sometimes you go to Pinterest and look for inspiration for home decor or clothing or whatever. Right, let's just see. You know how someone else has done it for an example for myself, and see what I like and what feels good to me. So there are people that you can draw inspiration from, like. Think about if you, for example, let's say, you have a job interview and you want to show up to this job interview feeling really confident, think about somebody, whether you know them personally or just from a distance or on social media, or somebody famous, somebody who has confidence that you want to show up, like them right.
Speaker 1:Yeah, they're like a really great example of what you want to be.
Speaker 2:Right. It's like you get to channel that energy, and something I want to be really clear about here is this is not about trying to be them, like their personality. This isn't about putting on a different persona or personality trait. It's about channeling the energy of their confidence while still being completely yourself, with your own quirks, your own personality traits, your own really remembering the things that feel good to you and the things that are exciting to you and not exciting to you, right, all that is still very much intact, but just channeling that energy of confidence and assurity right.
Speaker 2:And just picturing them, and it's a quick practice, honestly. You can close your eyes and just picture this person and the way that they walk and the way that you would walk if you felt like them. Imagine that you're taking this energetic vehicle and borrowing it and you're stepping into it, or energetic outfit, right, and you're putting it on your body and the more you visualize it, there's a real power of visualization. By the way, it sounds really maybe kind of silly to some people who've never practiced it, but you're picturing something. I mean, that's, the beginning of creation is first picturing it and imagining it in your mind. Yeah, like holding that vision exactly.
Speaker 2:And then, it communicates to your whole body that it is happening now.
Speaker 1:Yeah, your mind is perceiving. It can't tell the difference between what you're just envisioning versus actually experiencing it, which is really interesting. So it makes it more real, if you can hold that vision.
Speaker 2:Exactly, yeah, exactly. And we've talked in the past about this. When it comes to, like, our fears and anxieties, when you're picturing the worst case scenarios, your body responds as if it's happening now. Right, let's take that into a creative and a creative approach to this and say, okay, what do I want to experience, what is the best case scenario? And I'm gonna step into that energy and feel it and walk that way and dress that way and interact that way. You know what I mean, and there's a real power here. I mean play with it. You'll see that there's. It affects you, right? And the thing that's so exciting about all of this is that you again I'll probably say this four or five times in this episode that you have this power to choose, yeah, To choose how you wanna show up and how you want to feel and the thoughts you wanna have.
Speaker 1:I feel like that's where a lot of people might feel like it's not possible, just because it is so easy to get stuck into a pattern or like a program. I mean, that's why change is so difficult is because I don't think that we often enough understand how much of a choice we have. But then also, you know, having a deeper understanding of how our brain works and that it just comes down to choice and recognize, like being conscious of the patterns you're in, so that you can choose differently. But there's really cool exercises Like this just reminded me something to do with a lot of my clients is a journaling activity, because there will be, let's say, you know, they want to have a particular business in the future and they want to show up in a certain way and they want to have X, y and Z created and they want to be doing blah, blah, blah, right, like there's all these, this huge vision of what they want, and I love to just ask like okay, so why couldn't you step into that right now?
Speaker 2:How does that person show up in the world? How does that person operate?
Speaker 1:And now let's write that down Like let's actually spend time getting clarity on all of that, Every facet of this person physically and their being so like, what are their habits Like? How, what time do they wake up in the morning?
Speaker 1:Yeah what time do they wake up? What are they eating, what are they wearing Right, how are they feeling? Like, how do they respond to certain things? But, like, spend as much time getting as much clarity as possible around every detail of how this person shows up. And this is where I think people get uncomfortable because they think like, oh God, but that's not actually me right now. It's like well, why not? Yeah, you could step into doing those things if you just allowed yourself to.
Speaker 2:Yeah, exactly, and I'm gonna be a little more aggressive than you Like. When I hear people say things, say like that's just not how I am, that's not who I am, I call absolute bullshit. That's like not. It's choosing to dim your light.
Speaker 2:It's choosing not to see how powerful you are, which it is scary when you really consider how powerful you are. It brings me to that Mary and Williamson quote, where most people are not afraid that they're not enough, they're afraid that they're too much. She doesn't say that way. She says they're afraid of how much light they actually have. And it might sound like oh, that's not me, I want the light. I want the light. But when you think about yourself, like actually consider getting everything that you want, like tomorrow morning you wake up and you actually have everything you want. Picture yourself interacting with that life, right walking through the house, having the conversation with the perfect partner, having the job that you have, and how would you feel? Would you feel like I deserve this?
Speaker 1:Yeah, like ask yourself when you're trying, okay, so like, if you're choosing differently, right, and you know how you would typically respond to a certain situation, how would that ideal version of yourself respond instead, right, and just do that Like, just try it out. The person that's gonna be the biggest critic or judge is you.
Speaker 2:Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 1:I guarantee you there's nobody around you that's like, oh really. Oh, today you're gonna like wear the high heels. Yeah, oh, because I thought like that was not what you do.
Speaker 2:Exactly.
Speaker 1:Or oh, today you decided to speak up for yourself because, like, that's not what you do, like no, nobody's actually saying that or feeling those things. That's like that inner voice, yeah it's you that you want to shift, so you can choose differently.
Speaker 2:Therefore, you're stepping into a different energy or different being Right Today if you want to, exactly because, if you really do like I was saying, if you wanna step into this visual, this image of your perfect life, if you really stepped into it today, would you feel worthy of it? Or would you feel like an imposter in your own life, even if you had everything that you ever wanted, right? Maybe, I don't know. I mean, that's something that would come up that you could work through but this is how you practice it.
Speaker 2:You practice stepping into that energy and if you have things come up that's like, oh, this isn't me, whoop, that's a gorgeous opportunity, right. Beautiful awareness to be like ooh, what about this?
Speaker 1:Why do I talk to?
Speaker 2:myself that way? Right. Why do I feel like I can't?
Speaker 1:Why do I feel like I'm not?
Speaker 2:Because the truth is, you're all of it and you're none of it. You're not your personality, necessarily, but those things about your personality that make you feel alive, those things that you love, those things are important, they're important and it's important and it matters that you're excited about your life and that you feel good, right, and so pay attention to those things. But also, there is nothing that anybody embodies or anybody has that you couldn't have if you didn't it's not just a perception.
Speaker 2:It's perception and it's habits and it's how you're showing up and this is how you. It's like you're practicing that role, if you will Like another way to put this is like it's just like the role in humanity. It's just like another role at work, Like you could do it If you developed the skills, if you got the proper education. There's nothing about the person who's over the head of HR. That is just inherently and eternally different than you were. I could never deserve that role, when in reality, it's like if you had the proper training, the proper practice, the proper skills, why not? It's just sitting in that position doing a certain thing and having a certain role in the company, right, and the same thing applies in the universe and in the world and in humanity, If you want it. It's a matter of developing a certain, first of all, a certain energy, if you will, and how you show up and in how you operate.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I think it's the belief too, 100%, because people's beliefs are what stop them from doing the tracks in their tracks. So even right there, like, well, I couldn't do that or I wouldn't do that, that right, there is a belief that you wanna identify that's holding you back. Because it's not. You have to really challenge yourself and ask how valid is this? Because a lot of times it's just an idea that's not really actually based in any truth. And it's so interesting too, because when you there's been so many examples of highly successful individuals who explain, like, what they first started doing at the very beginning to get to where they are now and I it never fails. Over 90% of what I hear them say is I was looking out to others to see what they were doing and I knew if they could do what I could do it. So it's like when you talk about Pinterest for your outfit it's the same thing.
Speaker 1:You go out and like seek what others are doing, and you can emulate that, but you'll turn it into your own thing.
Speaker 1:But it's such a deep pattern that so many successful people have is that they started off by looking around at the people who were successful doing the things that they wanted to do, and they just started doing all those things and they weren't in their head about, oh, but that's not what I do, or can I do that? I mean, I'm sure that the thoughts came up every once in a while Right, because it's really natural to have that like imposter syndrome, but it they didn't allow it to stop them From choosing or believing in themselves and taking the action that would be in alignment with where they wanted to go. So it's like we talked about the outfit they put on, that energetic outfit that was as close as possible to the outfit they thought other people were wearing, right, that had created or manifested or Done what they were trying to do.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah for sure. And Manifesting. I mean this is all just different language around, what people talk about. When they talk about manifesting, I mean, some people have a, I Think, an unfair idea of what manifesting is. It's really just taking something that's an idea and bringing it into reality, like really creating it. Yeah, and this is the part of manifesting where people talk about embodying or Becoming a vibrational match for the life that you want.
Speaker 1:That's what we're talking about here.
Speaker 2:Exactly, is becoming the vibrational match, becoming the person that you want to be, by just choosing into the energy, choosing into the, the way that you move through the world and and all of that. And Will you be scared? Well, there always be. Maybe a little voice in there that's like, yeah, can I do this? Yeah, and you know what? You prove that fear wrong do it right. Do it afraid, that's Okay, like a fear actually can be a good sign that you're pushing yourself right, that you're really having into something that you want.
Speaker 1:Mm-hmm. And how good will it feel, on the other side of it too, when you see that that fear was so minimal and and also just like unlikely, because I mean, there's these huge things we can build up in our mind, but then we get to the situation or the place or we're doing the thing. We're like, oh, this is nowhere near as bad as I thought it was, but to think you could have stopped yourself completely.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I mean, the brain Loves certainty, right.
Speaker 1:You're so trying to protect you for sure.
Speaker 2:So are you. Is there certainty that you can do it? Your brain right now doesn't have evidence.
Speaker 1:That's a hard part.
Speaker 2:There will be that leap of faith, that step in the dark. That's why you have to commit to doing it a little scared. Yeah and to prove that fear wrong, give your brain the evidence that it's seeking. Can you do this? Yeah, let me show you. Of course You're a little worried, and that's okay.
Speaker 2:Again, if you're scared, if you don't feel ready, that's a good sign, because it means that you're putting yourself into position to really shift out of this mundane life that you might be living right now, where you're just the same thing day in and day out, and not tapping into the creative abilities, the powerful creative abilities that you have to realize the things that you want in the world.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and I think that as humans, we like actually really crave that forward momentum, because something that I've really noticed, also just talking to people and through like the years of coaching, is like when people are feeling really good, it's because they're stretching themselves.
Speaker 2:Mm-hmm.
Speaker 1:It's because they're moving forward, it's because they're feeling a little bit uncomfortable, but they're okay with it. They're like leaning into that, choosing it. Yeah, I think that we really naturally want that. And then it's been just as clear of a pattern for the people who, when or when they're feeling stuck, when they're feeling stagnant, it's because they aren't stretching themselves or they don't feel that forward momentum, and so it's like we always really do want to be striving for more and pushing to create more and get outside of our comfort zone, and that and that stagnant feeling is just not serving us or supporting us. So it's like, you know, scary, yeah, when you're out there and outside of the comfort zone, but it's also, technically, I think, what you crave. So you want to support yourself in creating the energy to get you to a place where you can stretch yourself.
Speaker 2:Yeah, this is. This is another great example of how our bodies are such perfect teachers for like the greater life principles, the greatest life principles of the universe, because think about how you feel when you don't move in a day. Brrr right, when you just sit around In a stagnant physical energy? Yeah, watching stupid garbage TV show.
Speaker 1:Yeah, no, there's a very big difference between those days, and the days were like when you move your body and you eat healthy and you exercise like it's.
Speaker 2:It's wild, because it really does Fuel you to move more, like the more when you exercise, like sometimes in the morning, I'm not really driven by looking a certain way, you know, especially as I've an unattached myself from needing to look a certain way to have value, right, right, and that's what used to fuel me for the gym. And now I'm like, now I'm fueled because I'm like I know that if I go to the gym I'm gonna have so much more energy today. Right, because it makes such a difference. And it's the same thing with our, with us energetically, spiritually, nonphysically, right, and the world and how the world works. When we are Pushing ourselves right, working ourselves out, our minds, our hearts, our passions, our dreams, when we're really Exercising those things, it's fuel for the soul right.
Speaker 1:I think that's also why, like taking it back to like my example with the Lexus, it was, yeah, I was cool because like it was a beautiful car and you know I was like, yeah, you know, there's the superficial.
Speaker 1:Aspects of it, but what was actually behind it and what gave it like substance or like a real.
Speaker 1:What was actually like a changing factor for me was the fact that I did need to work harder to make those car payments than I would have needed if I wanted just the Honda. And so that was me up leveling, because it was no longer going to be okay for me to settle for like just this much, I need to make this much, and I also had a different, you know, like expectation for myself and what it was gonna need or what I was gonna need to support that, and so it was a complete up level for me to then strive for that instead of what I was just comfortable with. So that was that stretch I had, and it really changed things because then it was like, okay, now this is my new level, what's gonna come next? New baseline yeah, I established a new baseline and I was like, okay, I can totally do this. Now let's move on to the next thing, right? So it's like that was my one of, just like you know, the physical things that I was using to motivate my stretchiness.
Speaker 2:Yeah, and I bet you know that, putting some hard, cold, hard cash on the line for that car, I bet you took really good care of that. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1:I did. I loved her so much there was literally nothing wrong with her and because we just decided we needed another one, but I still. She means so much to me because I know, yeah, I love her. I literally went and took pictures sitting inside of like the car and I just loved it because it just meant so much for me at that point in time.
Speaker 2:It was a huge level.
Speaker 1:Yeah, and it was something I achieved all on my own. It was when I had started. Well, I had already had my business for like a year or two, I think, and I had gotten to the point where I was like I can actually afford this and like whoa. So it meant so much to me because I had stretched a lot to get there. And then I wanted to continue to stretch, so I could maintain that, and keep growing.
Speaker 1:So it's like, yeah, you just show up differently because you have to to get out of that comfort zone and you're more motivated to as well.
Speaker 2:Like that's something. This could be a whole episode in and of itself, but when you invest in something, then you are more intentional about it, right? So when you invest in yourself, you are definitely gonna show up for yourself in that way, Like when you put skin in the game, when you really right, like otherwise, it's something that just kind of hangs for a while, like it's not as important, it doesn't motivate you, it doesn't push you right.
Speaker 2:So anyway, I love all of this and it says this just like we can choose the car that we drive and the clothes that we wear, and just like those things actually affect the way that we move through the world and the ripple effect of our own energy, this, the way that we step into and the energy that we embody, I should say the energy that we embody is going to affect the way that we move through the world and we just get to choose it. As, simply, it's not necessarily something I would call easy. It gets easier.
Speaker 1:It's like especially when you get out of your own way and don't judge yourself for wanting to choose different or be different.
Speaker 2:Just let yourself be different, let yourself change, let yourself shift, let yourself show up. You know high energy. If you're like, I'm just not a high energy person, I'm not somebody who's really organized, I'm just not somebody who's very social and talks to people and you know if you're even just stronger, like what if you just seem to be more assertive?
Speaker 1:What if you're somebody?
Speaker 2:who's like?
Speaker 1:typically a pushover, like speaking for myself, like there was a point in time where I finally decided, like making other people happy isn't going to serve me as much as it will if I just actually assert myself in the situations where I need to.
Speaker 2:Yeah.
Speaker 1:So maybe it's not. It's different for everybody. It's a hundred percent different for everybody. Energy just needs to be more assertive, or more confident or even more laid back, more trusted Right. Or more like type A, people who get like really in a like you know like I don't know how to show. Is he about things? We need to release a little bit of the control and allow that's energy. Maybe they need to step into so it could look different for everybody.
Speaker 2:but yeah, in fact, I'll tell you, I'll give you a real life example of when I played with this. So I was, I closed my eyes and I was like the energy of there's a certain person that I had in mind, that I was like I love the way this person is showing up in the world and it's exciting to me. And you know, those are little things that you don't ignore, right? If something is exciting to your calls, to your feels good, there's a dream in your heart, it's there for a reason, right? Trust it, listen to it. So I was like, closing my eyes and I was like if I had this energy, if I was this person and you can even start with like if I was a fit person, if I was a physically fit, really healthy, the whole nine years, we've got abs, we've got clear skin, we've got our biological ages 20 years younger than we are.
Speaker 1:Damn.
Speaker 2:If that was me, close my eyes, what does that look like and what do I do in my day? And anyway, the energy that I was wanting to the outfit that I wanted to put on that day I saw myself moving through a clean home and I saw myself with an organized desk and I saw myself, you know, getting on phone calls and I saw myself going outside and talking to my neighbors and all these things that just were kind of flowing through my mind as I'm imagining this energy and calling it in, really, which is what I was doing. So what did I do? As soon as I came out of that visualization, I was like, great, we're gonna start now and I'm gonna clean my house up, tidy it up, wipe it down, make it smell good like a candle, organize my desk, like you immediately can step into that energy.
Speaker 2:But you gotta know what it feels like first. You gotta really let yourself imagine it and call it in. Like I said and I had, oh my gosh, I had so much energy that day. I mean I really you experiment with it and you'll see, like you really can't, and sometimes you'll slip out of it and you're gonna oh wait, no, this isn't the energy outfit that I put on today.
Speaker 1:Or that I wanted to yeah.
Speaker 2:Or that I wanted, yeah, that I wanted to put on today.
Speaker 1:Yeah, it's so cool Because, yeah, your patterns are gonna wanna take over, but doesn't mean that it's not possible to choose differently.
Speaker 2:It's always possible.
Speaker 1:That's the biggest reason why people don't change is because we just go back into the subconscious patterns. So it's like I think there's a couple of things here that would be really helpful. To solidify this for yourself is number one get clarity on the energy you wanna step into and believe. Yeah, I believe that you can, but, like, literally get a journal out and do a brain dump around how this person acts, what they do, what you feel, how you show up Like, what are, what are, what is my routine? What am I gonna wear?
Speaker 2:All of the different things and then wait, I'm gonna pause you there, because I'm not a journaler, I'm a visualer. Oh yeah see, I'm a journaler, you are, I've noticed that actually, because you're like get out your journal and I'm like I don't want to. Some of those of you don't feel like journaling, you know, go inside and imagine like daydream about this energy and this person and these people. Or you can even literally go online and look at people right Like a vision board.
Speaker 2:Yes, exactly like. Create a vision board for yourself, something whatever. You need to get clarity on what it looks like.
Speaker 1:Yeah, I think it's just like about being intentional, about actually putting true, like ideas together.
Speaker 2:Right.
Speaker 1:Give yourself a chance to really solidify what you want.
Speaker 1:Exactly, yeah, because without it, like we're basically like getting into a car without a GPS when we have no idea where we're going. Yeah, the other thing is that intentionally build in time to reconnect with what it is that you wanted. So I tell people to do this like every day, set some sort of like routine or ritual that's going to have you reconnect with that vision literally every single day, because you could be really pumped and excited about the energy you want to step into after hearing this podcast. And then tomorrow you wake up and you you know, journal or you visualize or you meditate or do whatever to get clarity. And then you know, two to three days from now, you forget how excited you were and you're just like back into your old habits, right?
Speaker 1:So reconnecting with the vision and setting the intention that you're going to do it literally every day is one of the only ways you can really solidify this, because it's going to call for different action, like nothing will change if you don't actually take new action. So that, I think, is also super key. So it's clarity and intentionally checking in with the energy you want to exude or call in and make sure that you are doing the things that you need to every single day holding that vision, so that it's something that actually, hey, can become a new habit. Right, this is how new habits and patterns are built. But you just have to do it long enough for you know, have enough consistency with it for it to stick around.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, like, yeah, exactly, and just continuing to choose what outfit you want to show up in that day, and it could change to based on what's going on that day. But yeah, for sure, like that consistency in and here's the thing too is when you put on that energetic outfit, that's not where it stops, right, you should what? What are clothes if no one ever sees them? Right, I mean, that's not really true. I love to dress. I work from home and I dress, you know, sometimes just for myself.
Speaker 2:But truly, like you were saying, once you put on the energy, then move with that energy, like let it lead you, let it carry you and really put in some action as well.
Speaker 1:Because you want it to be sustainable, yeah, something that you really do for as long as you need to, until it's a habit, right?
Speaker 2:So I have a quick story here. So there's a I wish I could remember his name, but there's a man who lost something like 300 pounds and this is how he did it. Really, he would imagine every night the body of his dreams on him. He was in the body of his dreams.
Speaker 2:He had a picture of it on his fridge. He and he like, let himself imagine himself in this body of his dreams every night as he went to sleep. And then he woke up the next day and that wasn't where it stopped. But that visualizing and that stepping into that energetic outfit, if you will, it changed the way that he moved through the world. He suddenly had less cravings, he wanted to exercise, like it fueled him to make the action, to do the, the take, the action steps that he needed to do in order to get to the body of his dreams, and then he lost almost 300 pounds. So cool, amazing, right. So it's 80%, 80% of anything. You know that you're successful with starts with how you're being. It starts with your beliefs, it starts with your energy, and then the 20% is the action, the things that you actually do. Right, and the thing that's really key here is that it is really difficult to choose the energy that you're showing up in if you are dysregulated in your nervous system.
Speaker 2:Right and this is a whole different conversation which we are going to have in the next episode, because it's so exciting to realize again just how powerful we are and the option and the opportunity that we have, like your potential, always right to step into potential, to just step into possibility and to put on a different energy and to choose to be and then to do different and more and better and and everything Right. But, as we have said in past episodes, you cannot be creative from a contracted state. And this is definitely creative work.
Speaker 2:It's in your mind what do I want? And creating it Right. You cannot be creative in a contracted state. You can't choose how you want to feel if your body is stuck in feeling or operating in a certain way, because of there's many factors that contribute to your the state of your nervous system. So we thought it would be important, after we introduced this idea, to talk a little bit more about the nervous system, because there's a lot of information. It's something that's really becoming. People are starting to talk about it more in the conversation, especially with personal development, because they're realizing, we're starting to see you can't like. You need to have the baseline at a certain level in order for you to be creative.
Speaker 1:Yeah, so our bodies are beautiful and like intricate, incredible things, and the more knowledge and understanding you have around how to utilize it, the better equipped you are to navigate life. Because, yeah, our body is we like it's, it's not just. We're not getting taken for a ride. We can control what's happening in our body and our body can control what's happening in our mind, and all the things are connected, right, right. So, yeah, this will be a really helpful piece of the puzzle to help you step into the energy you want Gorgeous?
Speaker 2:Okay, well, we'll see you in the next episode talking about the nervous system. Okay, fun, love you, bye.
