Why Photos Don’t Tell The Truth
Speaker 15I created this episode for one simple reason. I don't believe before and after photos tell the real story. Any coach can get someone to lose weight for a short period of time. There are thousands of before and after photos online. That's not special. Short-term weight loss is easy. You've likely lost weight countless times before, but to lose weight and keep it off is a very different approach. You need to address what happens inside your head, how you think about food, how you respond to stress, how you react when you make a mistake, and to learn to trust yourself. That's why I prefer conversations over transformations. What you're about to hear are short two-minute clips from real conversations I've had with clients inside my Live360 program. And I want to be clear, these clips are shortened. The full conversations are even more powerful. And if any of these resonate with you, the longer episodes are available on this podcast. And I'm going to be honest here, the biggest battle I face as a coach is skepticism. The woman I speak to on a daily basis say things like, I've tried something like this before. I already know what to do. This won't work for me. I hear it every single day. And I get it. But I want you to hear this. It's not your age, it's not the menopause, it's not your hormones or your schedule. It's the fact that you've been trying to solve deep-rooted mindset problems with surface level restriction and deprivation. And although it feels like you've tried everything, in fact, you've done the same thing in different variations over and over again. Most of the women I work with are not beginners. They're intelligent, they're capable, they tried diets, plans, coaches, apps, and programs. This episode is for anyone who thinks they're the exception. For anyone who believes they've tried everything. For anyone who wants proof, not promises. Let's get into it. How do you create a life that allows you to lose weight, eat the foods that you love, and sustain the results? Over the last 10 years, I've helped thousands of people do exactly that. I'm Max Lowry, I'm an author, personal trainer, and weight loss coach. In this podcast, I'm going to share my top tips and tricks from within my one-on-one coaching program. It's my goal to give you the tools and the understanding so that you never diet again.
How Live360 Clips Will Help You
Speaker 22When I met new people or work or what would people think of me? I've done endless diets and yo-yo dieting and I did Weight Watchers a few times. It would work for a few months and then it would all pile back on. I just thought I had no willpower, no self-control. I just felt pretty rubbish generally that I couldn't get this under control. So what was wrong with me? I saw Max's account and it was a real kind of breath of fresh air. It really kind of resonated. It was just totally different to any other kind of dieting rabbit hole I've ever gone down. You kind of really simplified it for me. There was no kind of magic pill. It was really small things that were really easy to do, and I could continue just normal life. I've lost almost, or I would say, 18 kgs. I think, was it nine inches? It has kind of changed a bit of a dynamic in our family life in a good way. Do it, like sign up and you won't regret it. Having someone guiding you through this process is so valuable. I just couldn't do it on my own. I mean, I don't know where I would be now if I hadn't signed up. And also that would just continue. You know, it'd be five years would have passed by without anything changing. So I think for me it's been really worth it.
Speaker 21I've always struggled with my weight and my body image and my sort of body confidence and been on various different diets. I've probably tried virtually all of them. And they were up to a point. And then I just used to file all the weight back on and then some more. And so I was really fed up of doing that. I didn't necessarily have a good relationship with food. I think I was like slipping into more and more negativity. It's the kind of little things that you don't realize, avoiding social events. I remember getting ready for my baby shower. My husband was like, Come on, we've got to go. And I was like, but I've got nothing to wear because I just felt so not myself. So I was in a place that I was like, right, I need to do something. What can I do? I listened to your podcasts and I heard from the people who had done it and thought, if they're saying that you can, surely that means I could. I didn't realize how bad I felt until I felt a lot better. And I've gone down like almost three dress sizes. I think it's like 17 kilos now in the 12 weeks. Physically, I I do feel so much better, just lighter and like everything's easier. But it's the mental side that I didn't anticipate having as much of an effect on me as it did. How much more positive I am generally when I've always been a fairly pessimistic person. I think the biggest thing I would say to someone is just jump in. It's changed my outlook on food. It certainly changed my family's opinion of me. I sort of took a leap of faith and did it, and it paid off massively for me.
Small Changes Beat Magic Pills
Speaker 17I am 37. I am a part-time special mission pilot. I'm also a breathwork coach as well. I came across you by complete random circumstance, I think. It wasn't something I was really looking for. I was in this battle of wanting to lose weight because I was really unhappy. I hate I hated my body. I feel like I'm a completely different version of myself. So it's been very strange to think back to how I felt back then because now I can see how utterly miserable I was and how my behaviours have changed because of the lack of confidence I had. But where I am isn't working. I don't want to get to 40 and still hate my body. I just I want to enjoy my life. Now I can see like how much the the extra weight I was carrying, how great I feel now. I thought it sounded too good to be true. I was like, oh. A big thing for me was I do not want to do calorie counting. What I love about this is I actually haven't had to do any calorie counting. I feel more confident. Definitely. I've made lasting change and that other things are going to get better as well. I thought, hey, this guy seems to know what he's talking about, so let's have a conversation. And yeah, I I wasn't prepared for how painful it would be and how upset I would get, I think, because of that reflection of like really uncovering the thoughts that I'd hidden and normalized. But it was definitely the best thing I've done. And I think, yeah, we we do feel this responsibility that we should just be able to figure things out ourselves and that getting help is a sign of weakness and that we have to be these tough, independent women. But I got support with this, and it's been life-changing. Just do it. That's what I would say to anyone. If so, if someone was to come to me, do it, don't even question it. That's what I've loved about it. You just get so much awareness. I think that was the big thing for me was yeah, realizing that actually there are so many other things that you explore beyond just diet and movement.
Speaker 12I had the classic history of trying every fat diet out there. I gained the same 10 kilos and lost them again. I felt like I have to change something, but was very afraid to eat normal again because I was afraid that I gained all the weight and more that I lost before. I was at a point where I've tried everything. I knew I have to heal my relationship with food and with my body because I have two little girls and I'm their role model, and I didn't want to have them growing up, learning the same unhealthy patterns and issues that I have. Before the program, everything was about food. What I can eat, will I gain weight? That was my everyday conversation with myself. So I'm basically healed that relationship, and I can eat every food I want now. So I lost uh 33 pounds and nine and a half inches on my waist. Every pound I didn't have to carry around anymore was a blessing. It just changed my whole life. One of the most emotional moments on my journey every night, I'm doing the plane with my girls. So I'm taking them and just bouncing them around and then throwing them on the bed. And I could do it with my little one because she's four, but I couldn't do it with my firstborn anymore. And she was very sad about that. And there was the point I lost 20 pounds and I was getting stronger and stronger. And I could do that with her again. And she was so happy about that and told me, Mom, I'm so proud of you. You're getting stronger and stronger every day. In the first place, you have to believe in you guys, then learn how to believe in yourself and in your body again. And that's a journey so worth taking. So just do it. Just jump.
Confidence, Family, And Food Freedom
Speaker 11So I'd been struggling with my weight for many, many years. Tried various kind of like fan diets or things that were so restrictive that I would just be constantly thinking about food. I think I got to the stage where I really felt pretty desperate, starting to look into things like weight loss surgery, felt really uncomfortable with my body. I was very unhappy, very unhappy about it. It's hard to remember because I feel I feel so different now. Feeling so much happier. And I think when I originally saw one of your posts, I what I felt I needed was that that one-to-one coaching or that personalised thing, that sort of accountability. Things that I'd obviously seen you say in one your advert clicked. So yeah, it did sound great, but it great, but it was like there wasn't an element of is this too good to be true? I was thinking, I don't know who is this random man on the internet. So there was definitely that element of like this is this is weird. That was yeah, I was afraid I was afraid of being hungry, actually. I was. Um so that was uh yeah, I was afraid of obsessing about food. Right. I was never, I was never starving. It was more of a oh, I'm quite looking forward to my next evening meal. So I feel like that you've got a real genuine interest in it, uh the whole kind of you know, the science behind it and the theory and all that. We delve really deep and you're really open with us. It's nice to know you as a human being as well. I am a lot more relaxed around food and less anxious. I haven't kept a date. I'm about 45 kilos. Yeah.
Speaker 15That's 90 pounds or so.
Speaker 11Yes. But I didn't think that I would ever become be classed as an active person, but perhaps I am. I think maybe I am working out. Yeah, but I had achieved so much by just just changing the way I I ate. Yeah, it's been a fantastic change. I think you do have to be ready to commit to yourself. Go for it, just just do it for yourself.
Speaker 4I was at a particularly low and desperate point in my life. I again had lapsed and put on a significant amount of weight. I felt I was really stuck. I was diagnosed type 2 diabetic, and also my thyroid was deteriorating, and I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's. I also, because of all the stress at work, had irritable bowel. Thank you. I have to really thank you. I'm glad that fate and Google made me find the internet. It's changed so, so much enormously and wonderfully for the better. First of all, I had a direct personal contact that I could talk to for my individual issues. I received advice that pertained just to me, not generally. And what it also did, it helped me to identify my very personal inabilities and barriers and hurdles that I had, and how to overcome those. So, you know, losing most of uh my visceral fat was really around my waist. That was a real also success story for me personally. I've been looking forward to every coaching session. Having somebody you can be really honest and open to, and even down to the last secret of secrets. I've only told you, I think it's very special. Your advice has been it is a commitment, so you have to be ready to make that commitment. It is also a financial commitment, probably for some people. You gain something that money cannot find, and because it is so much more than just a diet program, not like any of those at all. It is a journey to find yourself. You have changed the way you look at everything, changes your entire mindset, changes the way you look at the world. That is nothing.
Beyond Calories: Identity And Beliefs
Speaker 1When you choose fast, I would do raw food diet, which is crazy. That's the hardest diet. I just wanted that quick weight loss, binge restrict, binge restrict. And it's not, I mean, that's a horrible way to live your life, too. And it always seemed to last for a week or two, and then my motivation failed and went right back to um everything I was always doing. And I was a very serious emotional eater. When I found you in your five-day challenge, uh, it just something clicked. It really made sense to me. So having that weekly accountability, um, having Clem tweak things when something wasn't working here or there, and or it didn't feel like it fit into my lifestyle was very, very helpful. And that definitely knew that if you listen to your coach, they're telling you what to do because they want to help you. I I lost, I think, between 30 and 35 pounds within that three month period. I'd set a goal weight-wise, which I now know is ridiculous because we have no idea where our body will actually even out. But I actually went about 10 pounds below that goal. Just putting those habits in, um, just those daily walks and uh moving more, you know, eating pretty consistently, but still being able to enjoy food. That was huge for me because at that it that seems like something that's doable versus all these other things where we're restrictive, restrictive, restrictive. But working with both of you guys has been great. Um, that's helped immensely. Not judging myself immediately after I get up and get on the scale has has changed my outlook on on my daily life. I enjoyed being able to still eat the things that I love. I like the ability to go out and like get a pastry once every week or two and not feel guilty about it. That that's a huge deal to me. You're attributing these small changes versus change everything in your life at once. If you're willing to invest in yourself and it's you feel like you're too ready, you should do this. And it was worth every penny. I mean, this this whole thing absolutely changed my life. It changed my partner's life. This is one of the things that has helped me the most in my life. I it just it's worth it. Do it. Yeah. My mom and my sister definitely have been uh just you know, through seeing this, they have definitely um started eating healthier. My partner lost 30 pounds also. It affects other people around you when they see you changing. They saw that I was changing and and wanted to know what I was doing. My mood is different. When I get more fresh air and I'm eating healthy and I feel better about myself, of course, you're gonna be more confident, you're gonna be more happy, and people people notice that.
Speaker 19My name's Belinda. I'm 45 years old, living in London currently with my husband and three children. Been a stay-at-home mum pretty much since my first was born, and he's nearly 11 years old. Before I started Liv360, I was very much an emotional wreck. I was significantly overweight, really dreading any sort of social interaction, getting a bus with my children to certainly any sort of socializing was a real drama. It was very stressful. I would snap heavily, big emotional eater. Before Liv360, I'd tried Weight Watchers, I'd tried Slimming World, looked into keto and done that for maybe two months. The biggest difference I've found with Lyft 360 and other programs is how much easier it's been to integrate with my family. It's promoted conversations around the table. It means our relationships have improved. I know that it's helping them form a better relationship with food. On the Liv360 program, I've lost 44 pounds. My confidence has really soared, and it's amazing how many people have actually noticed, stopped me, and commented on different things. So talking mums in playground, I feel like I'm walking straighter. I'm walking with more purpose. It's just a confidence that I haven't felt for a long time, maybe never. Before meeting you and starting Lib360, Max, I would have told myself exactly that, that it was impossible. And it's only having been working with you and the team for the last sort of 12 or 14 weeks that physical proof that it is possible. In terms of words of encouragement, take a risk. This isn't just about food and calorie counting and all of those things that you might have preconceived ideas about with weight loss.
Accountability And Community Wins
Speaker 20So my name is Jacqueline. I'm 55 years old. I live in a town called Coat Bridge, which is about 10 miles outside Glasgow in Scotland. I'm a retired police officer. So I had a terrible relationship with food. My weight was completely out of control. I would eat anything I walked past, secretly putting things in my mouth. My snacking was off the chat, motivation would have been low, negative thoughts would have crept in. I also knew that my health issues had to be addressed. I was on Facebook and you popped up. I think the timing was just perfect for me. I suppose my only concern was will it work for me? Will I be able to stick to it? That was my concern. Not does it work. I had faith that it would work if I could put in the work. I have lost 15.8 kilos in 11 weeks. I have three healthy meals a day. I have cut out snacking and I get up off my butt and I go and I move. But having Molly and yourself as coaches when there's somebody just saying, Oh, you're doing really well, how about we do this now? It helps a lot with accountability for me. It's crucial. My uh moods are much, much better. I've been on antidepressants for 20 years and I've run off them completely. I haven't uh leaned myself off and I haven't had one now for three days, and I feel absolutely fine. I just I felt amazing. I was dancing while I was getting ready that night. I haven't done that before. Years and years and years. Knowing how to get back into the swing of things the next day and carry on. It's having the accountability and the community as well. Yeah, it's great because everybody is in the same boat. You can get advice from other people who have done the same thing. things and the weekly calls are great too. But there's no way I'll I'll leave the programme because without you guys and the community, I know I'll just go back to old ways. And I've still got a way to go. Have no fear. I'll jump and go go forth. You'll do well, definitely do it. You're not a scary person, Max. I'll get the breakthrough call booked in, listen to everything that you've got to say and make your mind up. After hearing more in depth about how you can transform yourself and your body then there's no reason you wouldn't want to go ahead.
Health Conditions And Personal Barriers
Speaker 5I have had a few years where I was just sitting over where I'm comfortable at weight wise. I was feeling pathophardic, I hit carry menopause, any of those kind of quick fixes I used to have to sort of drop half a stone were no longer working. It was affecting my self-confidence on my clothes. The biggest change is that the weight I never had weight on my stomach when I was younger I sort of hit 48, 49, I just suddenly started all the weight I carried was on my stomach which was really uncomfortable for me. Without you I might have tried one of the things you'd suggested but then I would have thought oh I thought we're thinking tried something else was all over the place. There were small changes that would be step by step. I was 71 and I'm now 54 and I've lost a lot of injury of my wife I'm more active more comfortable turning 15 I feel younger than when before I started working with you really interesting. I'm less freaking all reactive if I have like a night out even a weekend a long weekend away and I know each more I think it's a feating myself off the anti-diet mindset was really helpful for me. It's just so worth investing in myself because you get to something 50 and you think I know it all I know what I should be doing. But when you work with somebody it really just keeps you on track and keeps you on force it's worth investing in yourself.
Speaker 6I hit rock bottom really put on loads of weight totally withdrawn very unhappy eating far too much knew I was doing it I was totally incapable of doing anything else just in a really bad way. I couldn't cope with being flitten so putting on weight was an easier option. Didn't want to know anybody knew that was total no no I couldn't cope with that at all. It was cash 22 because the more the weight went on the more I withdrawn. So it was a real sort of struggle. Me and one of my colleagues we did bat three we did mayo clinic we did this that and the other I did Fleming World and I put the weight on again. I needed the support and I needed the accountability all the things that I wanted to do when I first started the programme for the year I have achieved and more in six months. I can't tell you how many clothes I've got to get this dog because everything is just so big and I have lost many many. It's got to be at least five and a half to six a day. I've regained a lot of my old personality I've renewed friendship that needed renewing. I'm never hungry I don't snack I don't want to snack and I really enjoyed the food that I eat. For me it's been totally worth it.
Speaker 16I would say do it but only if you're going to put 100% in I was very much someone who has always really been focused on trying to be healthy and fit and I had tried lots and lots of different ways to lose weight Weight Watcher, Slimming World, keto diet, Atkins diet, more or less everything that's out there what I found was you know increasingly especially as I got older yes I could lose some weight and I would lose some weight for a period of time but it really just always seemed to go back on and as the years went by every year I was a little bit heavier kind of reached a stage where I had thought did I bother now? Or I'll just not bother will I just accept that this is the fact of life. I'm getting older it definitely was affecting my confidence because I wasn't able to crack it and I couldn't quite accept that really I didn't want to accept that which was then when I decided to do your programme which really for me in my head was I'm going to give this one more shot. I have lost now seven kilos and five and a half inches from my waist I feel that having tackled this I can tackle other things with a more confident mindset. This program has helped me to think in a more positive way overall this isn't a diet you know you can change your whole relationship with food and the way you think about food. I kind of demonised carbs particularly white carbs bread white pasta potatoes etc but I love potatoes I really like them and and and I wasn't having them and there was other things I wouldn't have I would never have a sandwich never you know as far as I was concerned we just don't I won't eat a sandwich. So I stared away from lots of things some of them as I say that I really liked I thought well okay I'm I'm doing this I'm going to have roast potatoes and I had them and I still managed to lose weight I would have a sandwich one day if I felt like it I still managed to lose weight and that's so empowering to me that's what's made this different I have information and knowledge I've been able to see it working so therefore I've got all the proof I need I would say to anyone maybe don't do what I did a little bit and think well this isn't going to work because nothing else has really worked actually just say do you know what nothing else has worked so I might as well try this and see what happens I was actually in a very very bad place.
Speaker 14Coming out of COVID was really tough for me. I reckon I put on about 10-15 kilos. I was finding life difficult and I was unhappy with my body my image emotionally I was suffering with severe anxiety to the extent that I was finding it difficult to function properly and every day it became a challenge. I really didn't like myself to be honest. I had tried uh I tried the Duchan diet which worked and then I put it back on again and some more I've never had coaching. To be honest I've been thinking about it for some time I think there's a little bit of a fear factor that I wouldn't get it right or I wouldn't be able to do it or it wouldn't be sustainable. In hindsight I wish I'd done it earlier. Anxiety has drastically dropped my mindset has changed the way I look at life has changed the way I look at myself has changed the way I approach things is different. I think my beliefs have changed I do believe in myself more and believe I'm capable of more. I'm happy in the near here and now which is an incredible place to be with this program it's not only about the weight loss it's so much more. I am so grateful for having found you in shame because otherwise my life would have been I don't know what it would be I can't even try to think about it. I've learned so much about myself. It is possible to change things and it is possible to feel good about yourself again just have to take the plunge and go for it. I personally don't think you've got anything to lose if anything you've got so much to gain.
From Despair To Daily Momentum
Speaker 9Life can get better I was a classic yo-yo dieter always looking for the short term fix and depriving myself which is all right in the short term but long term you know I would just fold eventually or something would come along and just knock me off and then that would be it you know it's all a disaster it's all gone wrong and I'm stopping and that was kind of like a pattern that has gone throughout you know most of my adult life and that's the great thing about the program is that I learned very early on that this isn't about depriving myself. This is about eating healthily sensibly and yes if I want some chocolate or a cake or whatever then it's fine but it's when those within those parameters plus around 20 kilos full tiled and six inches off my waist mind blowing is how I would describe that. And I I never expected that kind of result and I was so pleased with it. And I certainly feel fitter stronger definitely lighter certainly makes a difference in terms of my training my step count and and just life in general you know and energy levels the accountability that was great to be able to touch base with somebody times where perhaps my weight had gone up a little bit it was nice to talk to someone and to have that reassurance yep everything's good this will happen you'll be fine just keep going with what you're doing. I would definitely say you know grab the ball by the horns and go for it because this is a life changing experience.
Speaker 2Yes there will be ups and downs there will be challenges but stick with it because the results are there I was probably at my all time low I was size 22 and getting probably even worse mentally physically I'd just given up I spent the last seven years gradually putting on an awful lot of weight not doing anything in pain you name it it was it was a bad seven years and one of my targets was to reduce enough weight to be able to climb stairs without pain diet wise like a lot of women we'd tried all sorts of diets I'd done swimming world weight watchers the Ducan diet when you get to a point when you're at home you spend hours and hours scrolling through Facebook and I'd see one diet after another and I'd go down the rabbit hole and then I'm going this must work I must be able to do this and then as I said one day I was just sat there and your face popped up there was like a light bulb that went on it just seemed so doable. I'm now too stone off the pain has been helped by losing a lot of the weight it enabled me to do the exercise and get back into thinking I can I don't need to sit in my chair and mope all day. It's actually helped me start thinking more instead of just sitting mindlessly doing stuff. My husband said to me he said you know I said I haven't seen you laugh and smile as much as you have over these last three months the actual help and support that all of us ladies have had in the Live360 programme is totally valuable. I wrote on my review if any of this resonates with you it's time to do something about it and it certainly was for me.
Speaker 7Trying to lose weight I had a lot of the information but wasn't putting it into practice you know like eat healthy one day overeat the next things just weren't weren't working right I did swimming world I did initially lose a couple of stones but after that things just went haywire. I suppose life gets in the way as well. I think before I was thinking what's the right food to lose weight where now it's more what's the right food that my body functions well and with the emphasis more on health than on the scale numbers. The programme doesn't only concentrate on just what you're eating and what your exercise is there are there are a lot of other health issues that you're discussing. I lost more weight than I initially expected. You've got the support all the time with the one-to-one meetings every week you've got somebody to talk to about the issues and there's always somebody that you can email or message and so you know there's help right through. I'd say go ahead with it.
Relearning Food Without Fear
Speaker 10So before I started the program I would say like most of us I tried all sorts of different diets the slimming clubs all different types of diets and the weight still wasn't coming off. I was getting confused with what I should be doing for years I'd done what everybody else does and it got me nowhere. I was on um Spotify one of your podcasts jumped on and sort of resonated with it. It just sounded so interesting. Because you said it's not a diet and your clients have puddings sweets cakes alcohol and I mean you know there is a there is a line with that but obviously it drew me in I thought well how can you do that and still lose weight that's where I was quite you know skeptic but then obviously you know we had a long chat for an hour and a half well I was a big snacker that was a big thing for me and uh the programs taught me to do that to have three healthy meals and don't snack in between and that's been a life changing for me. Obviously the coaching is a big thing to guide you and to help you and sort of plan what your week's going to be and how you're gonna you know cope with situations. But somehow this does feel different. There's a lot of psychology there's a lot of help you sort of delve into why you're doing it as well get your mindset about it. Now before I don't know anyone that does that I've lost six pounds and four inches off my waist it's chipped away and chipped away but I've seen the the measurements and my waist was 88 and my last measurement was 79 centimetres put on a trouser suit and the trousers were hanging off me so much so I had to roll them over because they were too long because it's gone from my middle the fact that I've lost all that weight around my middle has made a huge difference in my clothes. I feel fitter in myself I think mentally it's given me a boost and the other thing I like about the plan is that no food is forbidden which is a big thing because I've learned not to feel guilty if I do want a dessert. One dessert's not going to ruin your health programme that you've been on it for eight weeks obviously you can't carry on eating and eating and eating but um the way you sort of train our brains to think about it differently is is a big thing.
Speaker 5The advice has been life changing for me.
Speaker 18Okay so before I started the challenge I had no energy at all my energy levels were rock bottom my weight was horrendous I just wasn't really very happy with anything and and then wanted to change and I didn't really know how to my nutrition was really poor before I got this and that was you know probably one of the major factors I just burned myself out basically things weren't working and the and the weight was just getting more and more my energy levels were getting worse you know you popped up on Facebook and I thought oh that that looks right and there was just something about about it and about you that I thought this it this is a person that's going to help me that was the start of it all definitely yeah the big change in my life yeah yeah it it was like a light switch ping like that it was just yeah the energy just went through the roof. I'm three quarters of a pound off two stones now which is amazing. I didn't think I'd be able to achieve it and in the five day challenge my my I think I lost about half a stone in in that five day challenge it's just coming off pound by pound. Yeah just so happy I I cried for help and and there you were you and Darrell there just to scoop me up and support me and get me through it. And and and I did learn a huge amount about myself in that time as well. God did I feel good did I feel good. I used to as I say crave chocolate not anymore and now I just walk past it I don't even notice it I am confident and again that's what this program has given me is the confidence that I can do all this stuff you know and and the support that you guys have given you know to help me you know find the way for me personally was brilliant. Yeah it worked for me so why can't it work for you? Don't hesitate. Just do it if if you really want to change do it.
Energy, Happiness, And Staying Power
Speaker 8Well thank you say I've enjoyed every moment so brilliant I've been struggling with my weight since I was a kid so I've never been that um think it in my twenties or when I left school and started to work I completely lost any kind of priority on health uh etc dived into my job this is basically how I ended up uh where I have been before the program yeah these small steps helped me to see the first results uh pretty quick yeah you lost 20 kilos in 90 days okay in terms of energy levels that's something completely different today than compared to the past and over the course of time and that energy level improved and increased to be proud of myself actually that's uh what was the hardest uh for me whenever I had a problem where I thought there is no solution for it you or uh Clem who was my coach um had the solution and it was not a one size fits all solution it was one that fit into my lifestyle I think it was that individual treatment I guess that was super important for me so yeah I think I can say I'm an active person whereas in the past I always said I'm not the person uh to do workouts. Um I lost 47 kilograms is endless kind of experience uh you have an expertise whenever I thought there cannot be a solution I don't need to discuss it with Max I still asked the question and you came up with another solution again. The people don't know you um they don't know whether this is the next uh shitty program uh where you will uh end up in crash dieting uh but it wasn't I mean uh watch the transformation uh stories and it's within the first few days you will already realize uh that it's not that program that doesn't work and if you have the chance um take the opportunity and go with uh Max at the team because whoever I saw on the program had amazing uh results.
Speaker 3Uh we have that community uh you have that accountability so just go for it really it's um the last program you have to do um I lost 47 kilograms yeah there was a lot to lose and there is still some weight to lose so uh no one uh not everyone needs to lose 47 kilograms but whoever was on the program uh everyone uh basically as far as I uh know achieved the goals thanks for creating that program no problem before I started I couldn't lose weight I probably struggled for the last five years trying various different diets and even with the PT at the little gym I went to she was helping us all with our diet and weight loss and out of the group of four of us I was the one that lost the least I'd done a course with a nutritionist in the January and still my weight wasn't coming off. The personal trainer was saying you need to put this in your diet, try protein shapes, do this, do that and we were putting down the calories. I was frustrated because we'd done a six week training session on the run up to Christmas and where they'd all lost like three quarters of a stone a stone I think I'd lost about four or five pounds and I couldn't work out why if I was eating healthily I wasn't losing the weight. As a result of doing the programme I lost 15 kilos and eight inches on my waist. I started off at a size 20 and I'm now size 16 on my bottom half and a size 14 on my top half. Yes I came on to lose weight and we're all focused on the scales and the number but as we went through it it's changed my whole outlook really my confidence because I'm not carrying so much weight the energy I've got the whole concept of how I look at food and exercise yeah it's it's changed me completely. I haven't done anything like this before where I can say at the end I've changed. I've learned so much about myself when I'm hungry, what foods affect me more, what causes my cravings am I eating because I'm hungry or is it it's emotional eating if you value yourself and you want to change then try this programme because I haven't looked back from it. It's worth it to feel so much better at the end of it and to know that you're in control.
Measurable Results, Mindset Shift
Speaker 13I was feeling quite low in myself being in rooms that I felt like I was the largest person in the room. I felt like I was knocking into things not really aware of my body because it obviously increased in size over a number of months, number of years. Got married this year and I was at my Hendo I just had no confidence. I was surrounded by all my friends and family it was definitely on my mind that some people I hadn't seen In a while, I felt like oh, I wasn't really had my best self with me. Basically, I I reverted to doing lots of exercise. It was probably making me more hungry because I was doing lots of exercise. I was then eating probably more than I should have done. And then it was just countering each other out. I had tried all sorts of things. I tried literally restricting myself to just what I would say was good food and didn't have any bad foods. That restriction didn't help because as soon as I stopped doing it, I went back to eating lots of the foods that I didn't like. I wasn't happy at the end of it, which obviously that then led to me reverting back to having anything I wanted whenever I wanted it. It was just that constant cycle, really. It was nearly 10 kilograms. Now I'm not sitting around 11 kilograms off. In terms of weight, 10 to 12 centimetres in total just during the 90 day. It is a complete mindset shift. It's creating meals that you enjoy, but you know are going to be sustainable in the long term. So you're enjoying the actual food you're eating, but also you are aware of what you're eating. I would certainly recommend it is all the building blocks to actually achieve that better lifestyle that I was looking for.
