Have you ever watched a child completely enamored with themselves and the world around them? There's profound wisdom in that unfiltered state of being—wisdom we've often forgotten as adults.
This episode invites you on a journey back to your authentic self, exploring what it means to reconnect with your unique truth rather than conforming to external expectations. I share personal reflections on how I've stepped away from my own medicine—the same healing practices I offer others—and what it feels like to come home to myself. Through stories about my two-year-old grandson's birthday celebration and a vulnerable client session, we explore how our inner guidance remains accessible even when we feel most lost.
The divine spark you carry isn't meant to be dimmed by fitting in, but amplified by standing out. Your gifts, vision, and voice are needed now more than ever, not as a copy of what's expected, but as a singular expression of creative force. Alignment isn't a destination but a sacred dance—a continual practice of noticing when you've stepped away from your truth and choosing to return.
Whether you're struggling with imposter syndrome, perfectionism, or simply feeling disconnected from your purpose, this episode offers gentle guidance for reclaiming your path. I provide journal prompts to help you explore your own relationship with authenticity and simple daily practices that can help you return to your soul's guidance.

Welcome to Unchartered and Unfiltered the journey back to you. I am Cynthia Jameson, your host, and this is where we break free from the noise and dive deep into what truly matters you. If you're tired of the shoulds, the expectations and the pressures to fit into a mold that doesn't serve you, you're in the right place. This isn't a podcast about easy answers or sugar-coated advice. This is your invitation to reclaim your path, embrace the unknown and become the bold, unapologetic version of yourself that's been waiting to show up. It's time to get unfiltered. Let's get started. Hello, hello, good morning, good morning, beautiful souls, and welcome back to the Unchartered and Unfiltered a Journey Back to you podcast.
Cynthia :I am outside this morning. The sun is warming the earth, the birds are singing and the world feels so alive. It feels as though it is breathing with me. And in this quiet, I want to invite you to pause with me for a moment, to feel the breath in your body, to recognize the unique energy and frequency that only you carry, the light that only you can shine in this world, because this journey, this sacred journey, is not about becoming anyone else. It is about coming home to your one-of-a-kind self. So I want to share a little bit about the question that called me here to speak to you today. I asked myself, before pressing record, what is the message that your soul and our collective souls need most right now? And it's a big question, maybe overwhelming, but the answer came softly, with certainty Come back to your truth, your unique truth, not the truth that others have shaped for you, not the truth that your fears have whispered to you, but the radiant, divine truth that only you embody and it feels really important to share with you.
Cynthia :I was just expressing to a friend of mine how I was able to attend my grandson's birthday and what I noticed was how completely enamored he was with himself as he should be because he's two and how his deep curiosity for everything that is and everything that was on that day he was looking around and letting it all in and experiencing all of it. He had his moments when he was so elated, so excited, so lit up, so happy, and he had his moments when he was so frustrated and so tired and so upset. And all of it was welcome and none of it was judged by him. And that's been on my mind and I've been walking with that for the last couple weeks. My mind, and I've been walking with that for the last couple weeks, and it has me thinking about the truth of who we are. And what I believe right here, right now, is that you are a divine expression, not just a copy of what's expected or what's familiar or what's familiar, but instead a singular spark of the creative force that birthed the stars, the oceans, the seas. And how incredibly sacred you are Power, powerful, whole that your gifts, your vision, your voice, your way of being in the world are needed now more than ever. Not by fitting in, but by standing out, by living boldly in the full, glorious spectrum of your own uniqueness. Just like my grandson and I have other grandchildren and they are so beautifully unique, and my biggest desire, hope, wish for them is that they won't listen to what the world tells them they should be, but that they will be who they are Is that they won't listen to what the world tells them they should be, but that they will be who they are. And I want to share something else that is personal with you now.
Cynthia :I have been reflecting lately on the medicine that I offer to others and the medicine that I sometimes forget to take for myself. Now I realize that my unique gift is the ability to listen deeply, to hold space gently but firmly, and to help others reconnect with their own inner truths and leadership. I help bring their vision, their dreams, to life, and I create and hold a space that is real, kind and tailored to each person's unique path. That co-creative energy is so powerful and it's so sacred, and the medicine that I need most is that same kindness. Turned inward, it's giving myself permission to slow down Exactly what I'm doing today, to breathe and to receive the care and the spaciousness that I so often extend to others. And I'm learning that this inward tending to myself is not indulgent, it's essential. I've only forgotten because the world told me that I needed to earn rest, and actually that's not true at all, and there have been so many times that I have stepped away from this truth.
Cynthia :When the imposter syndrome creeps in, when the question of whether I am doing it right or when I'm overextending trying to meet others' expectations, how I disconnect from my true self and coming back feels like releasing tension, breathing deeply and reconnecting with my body's wisdom, this calm clarity that reminds me that I am enough just as I am, because alignment for me is a feeling, it's a flowing ease in my chest, in my body, in my belly. It's a warmth and a quiet confidence that pulses in my spirit. It's the sweet rhythm of my words, my actions and my heart singing together, if you will, in harmony. And yet, because we're so paradoxical, patterns of perfectionism and self-criticism pull me away of perfectionism and self-criticism pull me away. The fear of vulnerability or of losing control tightens my chest and silence parts of my voice.
Cynthia :And I find my way back by coming home to simple daily practices, connecting with my breath so that it can melt the tension that I feel, walking mindfully. That allows me to ground myself, journaling that clarifies what is happening within my mind, affirming my own gifts to myself, allowing myself to honor my own authority and the power of responding to things I feel inspired to over-initiating. And when I fully embrace the divine spark that I carry, I sense my leadership expands, but not in the way you think. It's not by striving, but by being more deeply myself. And that confidence creates space for others to shine too, for others to shine too, inviting them to remember their own light, their own gifts, their own talents, their own uniquenesses. And so I am choosing to lead, not from a place of perfection, but from presence, deep presence, not from fear, but from fierce love for myself and those that I serve, because this is my medicine, this is my path, and I'm here to invite you to embrace yours with me. And even though the practice is simple, it's not always easy. The practice is simple, it's not always easy, you have to notice when you've stepped away from your unique truth and breathe and choose to come home, back to your values, back to your soul's whisper, back to the beautiful, fierce, tender essence that is only yours. Alignment is not a destination, it's a sacred dance and a continual invitation.
Cynthia :And I want to share a client's story with you because there is some wisdom within it. Yesterday, a client shared with me the heavy weight of loss and uncertainty that they're carrying and they felt lost, questioning their worth. And in one of those moments when they were heavy with this vulnerability, they said to me I don't know what to do. And there were tears streaming down their face. And in hearing that, my heart broke for them because I remembered being in that same place myself, feeling that ache of uncertainty and not knowing the next step and not knowing the next step. And yet, even in that pain, I knew, and I know that she too carries the medicine within her. And so when I asked her if your closest friend were in this situation, what would you tell them? And they immediately said find a therapist and meet with them regularly.
Cynthia :That wisdom, our inner medicine, is already inside us, just like it was for my client, and even when we feel powerless, even when our world shakes, we know, and that knowing is as unique as our fingerprints. Your answer, your path, your medicine belongs to you, and you were given it because you are ready to receive it. And so, as I sit here today, I feel all of this so deeply. The medicine that I bring to the world is the medicine I must take myself to live in alignment with who I truly am Unique, powerful and perfectly imperfect. And I invite you to do the same. Take a moment now, wherever you are, to hear this take your own medicine, lead and live from your unique truth. Let your soul's guidance, your own inner wisdom, light your way, and remember you are not alone on this journey. You couldn't possibly be, and I am creating a space, a community where people like you, with your unique gifts and stories, can come together, a sacred container for healing, growth, leadership, deep, authentic connection, a place where your medicine is honored, your voice heard and your light can shine without apology. And so if this calls to you, just keep an eye out. I will be sharing more soon and, before we close, I want to offer some reflections for you to take into your own sacred space, your journal, your heart, on a walk with you, and I'll put these in the show notes for you, in case you're not in a position to take these down.
Cynthia :What unique medicine have I been offering to others that I need to take for myself? Where in my life have I stepped away from my true self? In my life have I stepped away from my true self, and what does it feel like to come back? What does alignment with my unique truth feel like in my body, in my spirit? What patterns or fears pull me away from living fully as myself? What simple daily practice can help me return to my soul's guidance? And, lastly, if I fully embraced the unique divine spark that I carry, how would my life and leadership change? And I invite you to take time with these, to let your answers unfold in their own time and in their own way, and I want to thank you so much for choosing to walk this uncharted path with me, for choosing to be you, for choosing to be bold, beautiful and unapologetically unique.
