After four decades in HR, I thought I’d taken every assessment that could tell me who I am: Myers-Briggs, DISC, StrengthsFinder, Predictive Index — all of it. But last week I discovered a map that went deeper than personality. It touched the why behind how I serve.

In this conversation, I share what happened when I learned that the ruler of my 10th house — the part of the birth chart linked to purpose — is Saturn … and how that single discovery reframed everything I know about work, service, and the unseen parts of leadership.

In it, I share:
✨ What Saturn teaches us about service and purpose
✨ Why unseen work is often the most impactful
✨ How to move from pressure to presence and finally trust your inner compass
✨ Why being “wired for depth” is your greatest leadership advantage

This episode matters because so many of us are leading from pressure, perfection, or performance — and wondering why it still feels hollow.

If you take one thing away, let it be this:
You’re not wired wrong.
You’re wired for depth.
And that’s exactly what the world needs right now.

Take a breath, grab your coffee, and join me for a conversation about the spaces between systems and soul — the quiet work that changes everything.

If you’d like to discover your own 10th-house ruler — the planet that offers clues about how you’re here to serve — here’s how to do it:

1️⃣ Go to a free birth chart calculator like Astro-Seek.
2️⃣ Enter your birth date, exact time, and location.
3️⃣ Click “Calculate Chart.”
4️⃣ Scroll down until you see your 10th House (sometimes called Midheaven or MC).
5️⃣ Look for the phrase “Ruler of the 10th House.”
6️⃣ Take a deep breath, read what it says, and notice what lands — not what you think about it, but what you feel.

That planet carries insight into your calling, your leadership energy, and the way you’re designed to make an impact.

And if you’d like to explore what this means for you — how to connect your inner wiring, intuition, and leadership path — this is exactly the kind of work we do together in my 1:1 coaching containers.

Welcome to Uncharted and Unfiltered, The Journey Back to You. I am Cynthia Jameson, your host, and this is where we break free from the noise and dive deep into what truly matters. You. If you're tired of the shoulds, the expectations, and the pressures to fit into a mold that doesn't serve you, you're in the right place. This isn't a podcast about easy answers or sugar-coated advice. This is your invitation to reclaim your path, embrace the unknown, and become the bold, unapologetic version of yourself that's been waiting to show up. It's time to get unfiltered. Let's get started. Hello, hello, and welcome back to the podcast. We have got two threads to follow today: one that looks back and one that looks within. First, I want to celebrate you. Whether this is your first episode or your 171st, you are part of a community of humans who chooses to pause, reflect, and lead with heart. Then I want to take you somewhere a little more personal into a story about Saturn service and how our deepest purpose often reveals itself in the quietest places. So settle in, maybe take a breath, sip your coffee, or let the rhythm of your walk steady. And let's begin with a moment of reflection. When I started Who Are You to Lead Anyway podcast, which is what it was called at the beginning back in January 2023, I had no idea where it would lead. Only that the conversations felt necessary, real, human. And over time, those conversations became a journey, one that is now called Uncharted and Unfiltered, a journey back to you. And today, as I record episode 171, I want to pause and celebrate what we have built together. Since that very first episode, this podcast has been listened to 4,294 times across 54 countries and 408 cities. And that absolutely fills my heart. Let me tell you why. I was reminded this morning during a conversation with some folks at the end of our run this morning. I can't remember how we got here, but we did, talking about where we were born. And for me, I was born in a really small fishing town in Portabasque, Newfoundland. And there were 4,000 people. That was the population. And so when I take this moment to step back and think about my life. And I think about what I just shared with you. I am just so honored, so privileged to be able to be here speaking to you, doing this work. And from the beginning, my promise to you has been simple to share real moments and hard-won lessons from my own path, to bring you stories from other leaders, to offer tools that you can actually use in your everyday leadership and life, and to remind you to believe in yourself, especially on the days that it's hardest to. And that promise hasn't changed. It has only deepened. Because it's never been about numbers, it's been about meaning. Each one of those downloads represents a moment of awareness, a breath, a reframe, a ripple towards self-trust and authentic leadership. And that's why it matters so much. So we are just 706 downloads away from the next milestone. But the real goal has always been something much bigger to raise consciousness, to change the world of work, one leader, one breath, one truth at a time. We're the good of all. Now, before we dive into what I want to share with you from a personal perspective, I want to share a few notes from you because you are the heartbeat of this work. So, in no particular order, great episode. Love the quick, clear message and story. Delray Beach, Florida. Thank you. I have no idea how to rate a podcast. Have I got something for you later? But I quite enjoyed the episode today. Thank you for the insights from Fredericton, New Brunswick. And this one came in last week. Ooh, this one resonates. Now I want to invite you into the visual because I'm going to share what they've said shared with me. Walking across the bridge, shouting, yes, yes, yes. Thanks, girl, for keeping us real. And I just want to say thank you so much. And I also took a look at Apple Podcasts and will read snippets from the reviews so that I can share them with you and say thank you. So I just found this podcast and it's fabulous for all leaders, seasoned and new. Cynthia offers such actionable advice and new ways we can think about ourselves as leaders. Great tips and tools for leaders. I love how you share from the heart. Thank you. You're welcome. An invaluable resource for anyone seeking to enhance their leadership skills. Truly a treasure trove of wisdom. Every time that I read your words, I am reminded that this isn't just a podcast. It is a gathering place for people learning to lead from truth and attention. So truly, from my heart to yours, thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you so much. And if this podcast has ever made you pause to breathe or feel seen, there are two simple ways to support the journey forward. First, you can leave a review on Apple Podcasts. It just takes a minute, but it really makes a big difference. Here's how you can do it. Open the Apple Podcast app, search for Uncharted and Unfiltered Journey back to you, scroll to ratings and reviews, tap the star rating that you feel called to give, and then tap on, write a review and share a few words about what has landed for you. What is it that you enjoyed, or even what other things you would like me to speak about? But each review tells Apple, the big machine, that this show is worth sharing with more people, which means that you help it reach the hearts and leaders who need it most. Second, you can now become a monthly supporter. So if you would like to help keep the show independent, which at this point I have no plans on changing that, and heart led, you can help support it for as little as three, five, eight, or ten dollars a month. And your support helps me do it all. Create it, editing, reflecting, and sharing the stories with honesty that they deserve. And any money would be reinvested into the shared mission, which is to grow a movement of authentic, conscious leadership from the inside out. One that our children and our grandchildren and our grandchildren, you know, like it keeps going. So thank you so much for listening, for sharing, and for walking this journey back to yourself alongside of me. And cheers. Here's to the next 171 episodes. And now let's get into today's episode because I think you're really gonna like it. Okay, let's take a pause and a breath in for a moment. After four decades of HR, I honestly thought that I had taken every personality assessment that existed. Myers Briggs, um, disc, strengths finder, success finder, predictive index, tilt. There was something else called strong. You name it, I've administered it, I've debriefed it, or I have used it to build awareness in individuals and teams. And for an incredibly long time, I believed that those tools could tell me everything I needed to know about people, including myself. And they were helpful, of course. They showed me how I think, how I communicate, where my strengths, where my opportunities are. But last week I discovered something that went far deeper than personality. Something that touched the why behind how I serve. And it came from a completely different kind of map. My birth chart. So if you have ever wondered why your career path doesn't quite make sense on paper, or why you're drawn to things that don't fit inside your job title, you're gonna want to stay with me for this one. Now, I've always been fascinated by what makes people tick. I have spent more than 40 years studying humans. That is why I went into HR, to understand people, to help them grow, to create systems where they could thrive. And underneath all of that, just hand on heart, to understand myself. So I have spent decades using assessments and frameworks to understand behavior, how teams and individuals function, how leaders lead, how individuals navigate pressure. But even after thousands of conversations and hundreds or thousands of profiles, there was still something that data couldn't capture. It couldn't explain why some people, including me, felt fulfilled doing invisible work while others needed to shine in a spotlight. And I want to be super clear one of these is not better than the other, they're just different. I was looking for insight into like why my why, and this tool helped me find that. So the the assessments that I took couldn't describe the inner call that whispers, you're meant to serve in a different way. You're meant for more. And I'll be super honest here. I did not expect astrology to be the thing that helped me name that, but it was. So I follow an astrologer named Casey Danay, K-A-C-E-Y, I think is how she spells it, D-A-N-A-E, on Instagram. She is also an herbalist and a human design consultant. And you know, if you have been a longtime listener, that I dabble in all sorts of things to raise my own awareness about myself. And she was talking about something called the 10th house. And in astrology, it's the part of your chart that points to your career, your purpose, and your public legacy. Not the title you hold so much, but the energy behind how you serve. And I thought, why not? I've taken every other assessment. What's one more? So I went to a free birth chart calculator. I used AstroSeq, but you can just Google one. Enter your birth date. You need the exact time and location of your birth, and then you click calculate and just scroll down to where it says the 10th house. It's that simple. And when I did mine, I discovered that the ruler of my 10th house is Saturn. So it could be a different planet for you, but that's the purpose of this whole podcast episode. So when I read what that meant for me, I actually teared up. And here's what it said. I'm going to share it with you. These individuals often pursue careers that are hidden, symbolic, or inwardly driven. They may work behind the scenes or environments of quiet care, such as hospitals, spiritual institutions, film production, or retreat spaces. There is often an air of mystery around what they do, yet their impact can be profound. Over time, they may discover that their calling involves healing, storytelling, or illuminating the unseen. And as soon as I read that, I just my entire body exhaled. And I thought, that's me. I felt seen and heard in a way that I hadn't before. And after years of being on the front lines, in boardrooms, in meetings, in restructures, my deepest joy lives in the quiet work, and it always has been: holding space for people, their problems, their challenges, their desires, their dreams, their visions, holding space for transformation, helping people reconnect with their truth and eliminating what they can't yet see. And it was this moment of recognition, like someone had turned a light on in a room that I had been sitting in for years, but just didn't know there was a light to turn on, and had never really looked around for the light. And it helped me understand why I am so drawn to the things that I am drawn to, why I use Oracle decks, for instance, why I chose to study with the Institute of Intuitive Intelligence, and why I completed their method practitioner program. That is where I learned to meet and release subconscious fear, the kind that keeps so many of us from trusting our own wisdom. And I want to pause here for a moment because I think I skip over this sometimes. Not every one of us is going to be a geek about meeting and releasing subconscious fear. And that's totally okay. But I'm a geek about it. And that's what this path really is. It's this continual practice of returning to the things that we need to see for ourselves, our own intuition, to that quiet, steady knowing that has always been there beneath the noise. And now I have additional language for it. So in corporate HR, I lived inside of systems, much like you have metrics, frameworks, protocols, processes. And now I work with humans. I work with souls. And the thread that runs through both of them is Saturn's wisdom, structure with soul. And that's what my coaching is. It's creating containers strong enough to hold the space for transformation, but soft enough to invite the unseen in. That's the energy that I bring to every session. A calm, depth, presence, and the quiet assurance that says, you're safe, you can unravel here. And I've had many, many clients do that. And I hadn't really recognized the gift in that. Because if you can't share what's on your mind and your heart with yourself or out loud, it's really incredibly hard to be able to release the hold that that has over you. And maybe that's why Be the Light feels so sacred to me. Because it's not about followers, it's about space. Space for leaders, entrepreneurs, and change makers to pause long enough to see what's been hiding for them underneath all of the doing. And maybe that's Saturn too, calling us back to the work that's not loud, but lasting. And so if you've ever felt unseen or out of place in a traditional system, if the personality test never quite captured who you really are, or all of you, this is your reminder. You're not wired wrong. You're wired for depth. And you can totally try this for yourself. You can go to the birth chart calculator, enter your birth date, time, location, click calculate, scroll to the 10th house. Sometimes it's called the midheaven or MC, but be sure to look for the ruler of the 10th house. That planet carries clues about how you're here to serve. And when you read it, notice what lands. Not what your mind thinks, but what your body says, how it responds, because that's usually where truth lives. And if you find yourself wanting to go deeper with this work, to explore how your unique wiring, intuition, and leadership path come together, that constellation, this is exactly what we do in my one-on-one coaching containers. I help high-integrity heart-led leaders move from pressure to presence to power, to learn how to trust their inner compass, release what's been running in the background, and lead from calm, grounded confidence. If this conversation resonated, or if you felt something land in your body, I would love to walk beside you as you bring that awareness into practice. And you can book a free clarity call through the link in the show notes or on my website. And so as I look back on my HR chapters, my coaching work, my leadership, and this beautiful move to New Brunswick, it all makes so much more sense now. And if that's you too, if you're someone who quietly holds the world together while no one's watching, please know that your work matters. You are the bridge between what's seen and unseen, and the world needs that kind of service more than ever. So until next time, keep listening to your inner compass and keep walking your path, even if it looks nothing like anyone else's. Because maybe that's exactly the point. Take care. I hope that you're walking away feeling more aligned with your true self, more confident in the choices ahead, and ready to leave the safe path behind, knowing you've got everything you need within. Remember, the journey to you isn't about finding one perfect direction. It's about trusting yourself enough to explore all of it.
