The Habit Hub for Autoimmune Health™️
A podcast to help you shift from managing autoimmune disease to creating autoimmune health using the power of everyday habits.
The Habit Hub for Autoimmune Health is for anyone wanting to create autoimmune health using the small but mighty power of everyday habits. You can expect to gain Information, Inspiration, and Insight on research-backed habits shown to help you gain energy, improve your body’s function, and take control of your future.
Each episode covers one habit proven to promote healing, from the cell up. You’ll learn WHAT the habit is, the science behind WHY you may try it, and you’ll leave with a clear next step on HOW to habit using strategies that work. After the learning comes the doing, the secret sauce for change. Learning + Action = Change.
Hosted by Amy Behimer, a doctor of pharmacy, nationally board certified health and wellness coach, and certified life coach trained in functional medicine and The Wahls Protocol. She lives with multiple sclerosis, walking the talk alongside you every step of the way. Using her education, training, and first hand experience with autoimmune disease, you can count on a curated menu of habits proven to help your mind and body function better so you can feel your best.
So what is The Habit Hub? It's a framework that describes the 6 key areas of lifestyle medicine most worthy of your habit mastering efforts.
The key areas (spokes) of The Habit Hub include (1) Mindset, (2) Food as Medicine, (3) Movement as Medicine, (4) Rest and Relaxation, (5) Connection, and (6) The “Good Stress.”
You'll hear about habits recommended by health and wellness experts, other autoimmune warriors, and the tried and true of Amy and the clients she is fortunate enough to help. No habit is too small, as they are truly the short term goals to help you reach your long term dreams. With a desire to share enough habits to fill multiple lifetimes, take what works for you and leave the rest. Choose your own (habit-filled) adventure. No matter what your diagnosis or starting place, there’s something here for you. You’re in the right place.

Try This At Home: What Can I Control?
This week, I'm trying something new—and it’s more than just a good listen. In this first-ever “Try This at Home” episode, I walk you through a simple but transformative exercise pulled straight from my CLUB Library. It’s designed to shift your mindset just a tiny bit at a time. If you’ve ever felt like your health is out of your control, this one’s for you.
Key Takeaways:
- Why feeling out of control is normal—and what to do about it
- The science-backed link between control and inflammation
- How to make three mindset-shifting lists: control, can’t control, and influence
- Real-life examples from me and my clients of how to “rig the game” to change the game when it comes to how you feel
- What to do when your brain insists “this won’t work”
“The first visible win you’ll see—and hopefully share with me—is noticing a glimmer, a flash of your power.”
