Welcome back to another, your Friday five where we are just. Doing the shortest little episode ever. Something to think about. I recently here, had the organizer, I had spoken about this. She actually came on the podcast months ago. I'll make sure to link it down below in the show notes. And she had helped me maybe, I don't know, 20, 25, 30 hours. She had worked in my house. She organized the entire thing, the kitchen, the bedrooms. Everything. The house was beautiful and you know, the first question I asked her, I said, Hey, what are your maintenance packages? Because I know friends that I would not be able to maintain those changes. A lot of them are amazing and have lasted, but I know that in six months from now there would be problems. So I had right away that day. Signed up for six months later, a few hours of her coming in, so she came. First of all, let's have a conversation. Here's the point where I'm telling this story. I did not want to do it. It was on the calendar. I knew it was good for me. All the things I didn't wanna do it. And I wanna tell you, 99% of the things that are amazing and great for you in life, you're not gonna wanna do, but you're gonna put it on the calendar and you're gonna go ahead and follow through with it because you know that past you was really looking out for future you and you're gonna get it done. Now here's the funny part. I'm hemming and hawing and she even writes me in the morning, Hey, are are you good today?'cause it'd been months since we spoke and I said, yeah, I'm great. In my mind, I want, I wanted to cancel. Right. I wanted that time free. She comes literally, I continue to get to work and do the things I need to do, and she is a few areas that weren't working. She, she switched things up. And again, the house is amazing. Many, I would say 95% of the things she did amazing still working. And there were a few things that just, you know, there's always like these areas where you're like, why is this happening? Why is that happening? And so she did a few different things and I'm like, oh, this is gonna be perfect. What she did. I felt so amazing afterward. The house, again is completely functional. I am staying on top of it. In three years from now, the house will not be a disaster zone because I am committed to staying on top of this. This is the same principle. With everything in your life, if there's something that you're gonna want, we're gonna have to get to a place. Usually I see with people where you get things on the calendar, you have a routine with things, you have people that you check in with. My patients check in with me monthly. I am. Almost a hundred percent positive that they're not wanting every single month. Like, yay, I get to talk to Dr. But you know what? They always, majority of them are like, Ugh, I needed this today. They think it's gonna go one direction. It definitely doesn't. It keeps them focused. The progress that they make yearly is insane, and I am able to see that we're able to keep perspective, we're able to keep going. Majority of the things you want in life are not easy to achieve. You will not want to do them. They are massively amazing when you achieve them, but it requires small little things on the calendar, small things planned, and you keep chipping away. It's like right now I'm loving, we're in the September round of the 30 30 group. It's so inspirational to see week to week what people are planning to do. It's so diverse. Everybody has a different struggle, a different thing that they're trying to get some teeth into, right. And it's great because you can see it's not a one size fits all. It's not like everybody needs to go and get a hundred grams protein and whatever. We had someone on the call where they were getting less protein than that, and their body composition is plenty happy. It's not a problem for them. Think about if they hadn't had that call, they'd think, I need to keep upping this protein. It's doing stuff that doesn't matter. Here's what I wanna just call out. Is there something that you're wanting to do where you are repeatedly. Not getting the things on the calendar, not taking little steps toward it. Everybody, you overestimate what you can get done today and you underestimate what you can get done in the long run. If you were consistently taking small steps in the direction that you wanna go in 1, 2, 3 years from now, you're in a really different place. What you are putting your attention on grows, those things get stronger, those things get better. I just wanted to give that organizing story because I'm human. I'm like everyone else. I'm like, Ugh, I don't wanna do that. But I'm so grateful and can't tell you the funniest story. Later that day, my stepson has a friend over. It was funny because our whole house was just looking perfect, which of course it's never looking that way. And I had to laugh because I was joking with the girl. I was like, look, I was like, I opened the cabin. I was like, you know, it's just like always like this, you know? We were joking'cause we just had the organizer there, but it was hilarious, right? That person could have thought, oh wow, the house is always perfect. It's like, no it's not. Someone just came in to help. Back to the plot. I wanna say with you, is there something that you consistently wanna keep getting at? I have to say, the thing that I see with majority of you guys, it's strength training. If that's something where you don't like the routine, you don't like the direction your body composition's going, things like that, okay. What is a different step that we can take in this direction? Many of you are starting with things that are way too hard, they're prohibitive. It is way too far out of the comfort zone. You are panicking yourself and shutting yourself down. And if you could simply scale it back many of you. Are not willing to just do small micro moments, micro actions, they will get you so much further than you realize. Alright, I'm gonna leave it here today. If you have not participated in season two of the Behind the Curtain podcast, it's really 21 Days of Health and Momentum. The thing I wanna tell you is that will be there any time for you, but the Live 21 Day Challenge, December 1st through 21st, will not. I'm going live five days a week for those three weeks. We have a really active group that is on WhatsApp for that. There's lots of support. Accountability you will. Get moving, stay moving. You will be doing the things. Don't end the year deflated, dejected with holiday eating, things like that. Stay in a group that helps support you. So if that's interesting to you, I would go ahead and sign up now because we are limiting, we already have people from the September 30 30 group that are in there, and I don't want the group to be too large. So we're really only having a few spots to be honest with that. Okay. Alright, have a great rest of the weekend and I'll see you Monday.
