Trauma is a word we hear often, but many people don’t truly understand how deeply it lives in the body, the mind, and the choices we make every day.

It shows up in our relationships.
It shows up in our fears.
It shows up in the way we protect ourselves from being hurt again.

In this powerful episode of Loving Me Before I Love You, I sit down with Alinda Quinn, founder of Synergy in Bloom, a trauma-informed coaching collaborative dedicated to helping survivors and coaches understand the deeper science behind trauma and healing.

Alinda brings both professional knowledge and lived experience to this conversation. With certifications and extensive training in trauma coaching, crisis intervention, neurodivergence support, relationship abuse recovery, and creativity coaching, she has dedicated her life to helping others understand that trauma does not have to define the rest of their story.

It’s personal.

After navigating her own painful experiences, Alinda discovered that some of our deepest wounds can eventually become our greatest sources of strength. Her healing journey showed her that serving others was not just meaningful work. It became one of the most powerful paths to her own recovery.

Through Synergy in Bloom, she now helps coaches and helpers become more trauma-informed while also teaching them how to care for themselves as they support others.

Because one of the biggest truths in helping professions is this:

You cannot pour healing into others while ignoring your own wounds.

In this episode, we talk about:

• What trauma actually does to the brain and body
 • Why unresolved trauma shows up in our everyday behaviors and relationships
 • The difference between coping and true healing
 • Why helpers, coaches, and leaders must prioritize their own healing
 • How turning pain into purpose can create ripple effects that impact countless lives

This conversation reminds us that healing isn’t about pretending the trauma didn’t happen.

It’s about understanding it, processing it, and learning how to move forward with compassion for ourselves.

Because when one person heals, the impact spreads further than they will ever know.
