Welcome back to Mental Perk! In this episode, we’re joined by Brian Ulch, a seasoned security professional with over 32 years of experience in close contact knife and firearms training and multiple martial arts styles. As a licensed instructor with the Texas Private Security Bureau, Brian has spent the last 12 years as a Personal Protection Officer and the past 10 years training others in defensive tactics and firearms.
Brian’s impressive career also includes serving as the Director of Security for a large North Texas non-profit, where he managed all aspects of safety operations and training. Beyond his security expertise, Brian is a 2nd-degree black belt and co-owner of Alamo Defense, a company dedicated to providing comprehensive security and training services.
His commitment to making a difference doesn’t stop there. As a board member of the Cooke County Hope Alliance, Brian supports survivors of human trafficking, and as Vice President of Guided Solutions, he helps veterans and survivors build new futures.
