Navigating the Complexities of Property Investment with Expert Michael Voulgarakis

In this episode, Michael Voulgarakis from Southgate Ventures shares his 17- year journey from helping his Dad on construction sites, to now syndicating multifamily apartments  as an operator for investors in the  Seattle/Puget Sound area. Michael has underwritten over 1.62B in real estate working one level after another, for employers like Morgan Stanley,  adding education to each layer to be able to excel with his partner in acquiring good investments along the way.  Michael does the acquisitions, raises capital and oversees operations  and his partner handles construction management, sources leads, sources materials and runs the projects. 

Michael shows us one of his projects with the carports tucked under the units and talks about how expensive the area is comparative to most other areas of the country.  They fight to be fiscally prudent and stay in areas where the demographics support the business plan.  Seattle has a much higher standard of living than most with a median household income of $115,000.  Listen to the episode to hear more!

Michael received his BS in Business Administration at Southern Connecticut State University and his MS in Real Estate Finance at New York University.
