Ever wondered what it really takes to say a BIG YES?
Join Mel and Nat In Season 5 as we pull back the curtain and talk to mums who’ve done just that (said a big YES) - sharing the messy, magical behind-the-scenes of what it took to make it happen (spoiler: it’s never as simple as it looks).
If you’ve said YES to something that changed your life, we’d love to hear your story. This is you if:
- You are a Mum
- You’ve said a big YES (eg: longer period of time away from your family, something that costs a lot of money, study, life long dream that you have always put to the side, competition etc)
- Love a good conversation
- Happy to share your story
- Inspired by peoples stories

Episode 55. How the Dishes Keep Teaching Us Life Lessons
Yep, the bloody dishes conversation has reared its head again!!
I feel like the dishes conversation is a metaphor for so many things in life!
Most noted, is how we deal with things we need to do consistently in life and how to love that we get to do these things daily!
I remember doing the dishes at home when I was growing up, and we would just know that it was something we needed to do, we set a routine, and we also had some fun while doing it. (as mentioned in today’s episode)
It’s a bit like when dinner is ‘your job’ and again it seems to come around every day (how does that happen?) How do you make it something that still feels good?
I know across the time, I have changed things up so that it doesn’t feel like the monotonous job that it is.
I’ve ordered Hello Fresh for a few months, I have made games with the kids like the ‘mince meat challenge’, sometimes the kids cook, Hubby has a couple of cooking shifts a week.
And when it gets really dire, I put on my fav tunes and dance and sing and cook.
So it’s not really the thing that’s the problem, it’s how we feel about it and that can change day to day depending on what mood we choose to hang out in.
It always comes back to choice.
How can we approach our week in a way that feels good? How can we set ourselves up for success? How can we be grateful that we have food to cook and dishes to wash in houses that are warm and cosy?
Listen in and see how Mel and I navigate these questions.
Until next time LIVE YOUR PASSION,
Love Nat and Mel
