Hey everybody, I'm back again and I am absolutely thrilled because a friend of mine who we connected probably 18 months, maybe two years ago, I don't know. We have been collaborating on projects for the past year and I'm so excited she is attending the whole you retreat as a thought leader. So everybody say hi to Aubrey Moore, clinical sexologist and feminine intimacy coach. Hi, aubrey.
Speaker 2:Hello, hello. I'm super excited to be here and I'm so excited for like one month when I get to hug you.
Speaker 1:I know it's less than a month. It's like two and a half weeks.
Speaker 2:Yeah, it's hard to even think about.
Speaker 1:Really sneaking up on us. Wow, you're right, it is. In a good way, yeah, in a good way. So this is a situation where we've been virtual friends and we've created virtual friendship over you know some time, and and we are going to make it real. Make it real, yeah, and I just can't wait to give you a hug.
Speaker 2:I know I I'm I'm so excited and I'm excited to not only see you and and being your energy in real life, because zoom is is wonderful, because then it gives us this opportunity to connect, but then in real life it feels so different. So I'm so excited to just embrace you. I give 20 second hugs, just FYI, okay.
Speaker 1:Thanks for the warning. No, no, I love it. That's fabulous, I'm all about that, and so I have to be honest with you. All of the women that I've spoke to are super excited, but also a little nervous about your, about your conversation that you're going to be leading at the whole year retreat.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah that, that, that checks out.
Speaker 1:Okay Well, so just kind of kick us off by telling us a little bit more about you and why you do what you do. Yeah.
Speaker 2:So, um, so I have. Well, first and foremost, I think it's important to state that I'm just a woman, like the rest of the rest of us, and I I'm in the middle of my sexual journey, like the rest of us, and so the things that I, I guide and coach women on are things that I have experienced in my own life, and the reason why I have chose this path, or I should say, the path really chose me, is about four years ago I was in an abusive personal relationship and also kind of an abusive one in my professional life too, with work. They were both kind of in tandem and when I left one which I'm kind of glossing over, but it took a lot of energy and a lot of pain and a lot of reflection, but when I left it, it was almost as if, like, this veil had been lifted of wow, I can do whatever I want. I didn't realize that I, I, I was holding myself back or this, this, uh experience in my life was holding me back, and that momentum, um, coupled with a coach that I had already, uh, led me to sex coaching because I've always enjoyed, I've always enjoyed and been curious about human sexuality and the vastness of it and the importance of it and why, why, why, why we never talk about it?
Speaker 2:It's just like the most bizarre thing to me and and I've always been just a person in my friend group that you know the girls and the guys come and talk to about like hey, I had this like issue, can we talk about it? You know, I've always been that person, so it seemed very natural for me to move into this field and when I started I was just like in awe because, yeah, not only because of what I was learning, but mostly because of what I was experiencing in my own life, because, as you probably know, as a coach or as a guide of some sort, you do the experience or you do the guiding with yourself, so that way you can hold space for others, and so going through my own sexual journey has been like what a treat, you know, and I'm like I got to share this with with other women. So so, yeah, that's a little bit about how I got started and my excitement and passion behind it.
Speaker 1:I love it. I think you kind of have to have been there to be able to teach it Totally. I mean, really you can learn everything you want from schools and books and we've all done that as well, you know to substantiate our, our passion of what we, what we do but it always everyone I speak to what they do, then if they love, it stems from a growth experience that they came through and want to help others do the same and maybe traverse it a little quicker.
Speaker 2:Yeah, exactly, it's like hey, I took so many years to go through this and now I have these kind of like I don't really like the word shortcuts, but you know what I mean Kind of like if you do this instead of um, um, playing around with this for years and years, then you might get to your, you know, your goal or whatever you want a bit, and so, yeah, now, what I tend to focus on for women is helping them to uncover and explore their own desires, both sexually and non-sexually, and I think it's important that we do both, because they're interwoven. You know, I always like to say, like, if you can ask for oral pleasure, you typically can ask for a raise at your job.
Speaker 1:Those are both tough conversations sometimes mean, I know, maybe they shouldn't be.
Speaker 1:So, yeah, just opening up the conversation in baby steps or whatever it takes, or going right for it, yeah, yeah, I think just um allows, you know, women in particular, to kind of feel like they're not alone. It's not weird, it's a natural. We're just being natural when we're exploring these things and when we're learning, growing. So I applaud you for what you do and going into those places that are that make people a little nervous sometimes, and just being really courageous and that way, thank you.
Speaker 2:And another thing I want to add to that is it yeah, it makes them feel less isolated and maybe more understood and it makes them feel more whole. You know and I mean we're going to the whole you retreat and it it really does. The women that that I've talked to in my own Facebook group have talked about like man, like I've had these feelings for a long time and I finally have a place to talk about it with. So it's like our sexuality just because it's not talked about, doesn't mean that it's not part of us. It is still a part of us. It's just this neglected or unsafe piece and so when we are able to, as you said, take baby steps or whatever type of steps works for you into this field, you find like this wholeness that I think is really beautiful.
Speaker 1:Right, just your full, authentic self to be able to express and to feel all the feelings and all that great stuff.
Speaker 2:So love it.
Speaker 1:Love it. So, talking about the whole retreat, you know we actually started talking about this, I don't know I think more than a year ago and you have been tied up, you've been doing other retreats and you've been in Japan and all that great stuff. But what was it that interested you in the whole you retreat to begin with, to become, be a part of it?
Speaker 2:oh, what a great question. Um, well, I think that ever since I um I don't know, maybe like in my early 20s, like way before I even did this type of stuff, I loved going to retreats. I loved going outside of my home in my like normal routine, going to a new place, a relaxing, relaxing place, which I mean I don't know if y'all have seen went to the website yet but this place looks amazing. I mean, it's a mansion in Breckenridge, like how could you even say no to that?
Speaker 2:My body was just like yes, yes, yes, um, and so so I've always had, um, an interest and a desire to like change my circumstance for a short period so that I can like put myself in a different mindset, in a different physical place, because that energy shift is what can also shift things inside of us, you know, when we're learning or when we're exploring.
Speaker 2:So that has been just something I've always been interested in, and the whole Ubertree outside of it, being in a beautiful place with beautiful people. I am just interested in the in what wholeness looks like there, you know, because becoming whole has kind of been, um, I didn't know it until maybe the last few months actually, but that's actually kind of a theme in my own life, in my own discovery of not just sexuality but other things in my life, all kinds of things in my life, and I keep it keeps coming back to becoming whole, being whole, being whole, and so I feel like this is just like a perfect piece of my own personal journey and I'm so excited, I'm interested, I'm curious about, yeah, what it will feel like to be there, and that's always good to me. If I can, if I have something in my life that I feel curious and excited about, then yeah, bring it on, you know.
Speaker 1:Right, right and yeah, I'm so. Yeah, I think you're going to just love it and you're going to add so much to it. But, yeah, we love bringing these women from all over the country. We've we have women from even Canada attending this time and it's interesting to watch the transformation over the weekend, watch them literally bloom, yeah, you know, and connect and feeling all the feels and and given the hugs and really making lifelong connections as well, friendships that they leave and they're never the same again. Yeah, I love the transformation. So we've got an exciting, wonderful agenda and we have four thought leaders speaking on different topics, such as connection, health and wellness, mindfulness and meditation, and then yourself, and then we have a fabulous yoga instructor and all these service providers that just are there to support our guests experience and it's just yeah, it's good.
Speaker 2:I think that's so important because, especially for women, like typically in society, we are the, the nurturers and the caretakers, and and we and that is a beautiful thing that we provide our society it's needed as well, and it's important that we get taken care of, that, we get nurtured as well, and so I feel like this retreat is something that provides that for women.
Speaker 1:So right, and there's nothing like feminine energy, love right Because it's like, it's like motherly love, only it's different. You know it's it's whole love, if you want, if it would, you know it really. You feel it in a different way.
Speaker 2:Yeah, I totally agree with that, mm. Hmm.
Speaker 1:Well, I just can't wait to see you in about less than three weeks, and it's going to be amazing. There are people still on the fence out there. Can you believe it? Oh man just a couple spots left.
Speaker 2:Yeah, yeah, I would say, if you're feeling on the fence, I mean, we've kind of given you a lot of good reasons already why it might be a good opportunity for you to go. But I guess, in terms of my own contribution, I focus on connecting you with your body and listening to your body signals, and we'll be practicing actually some communication skills as well, which you know I think are extremely important for women now. So, if you're on the fence and you're like in this place of uncertainty, I would ask yourself what do you really want? What do you really want? And if it's, you'd like to go.
Speaker 2:But you know, in all these different goals, then work through those things, you know, maybe take them one step at a time, but it's important, especially as women, to just give ourselves this like space of. This is what I want, and saying it out loud, even if it's not something you're able to do, but saying it out loud, that helps to make it a real possibility. And so, in the light of communication skills and asking for what you want and being in connection with your true desires, I would just ask yourself yeah, is this what you really want? Do you want to go? And there's some things holding you back or what's going on in there, so I don't know. That's what I'd leave you with.
Speaker 1:I love it. It's perfect, absolutely. What is holding you back? I talked to so many women who want it and say they want it, but what is holding you back?
Speaker 2:Really reflect on that, yeah, I mean, and that's what we talked about within your discovery tribe in January, I think as well. We talked about why don't we ask for the things that we want, right, and so in the retreat, it's like we're going to be taking that a step further. And so, yeah, if you've ever kind of been like man, like there's things that you've not allowed yourself to have, um, for whatever reason, this retreat could be like the first yes that you give yourself.
Speaker 2:And that will only lead to more yeses in the future, in my perspective and in my experience as well.
Speaker 1:So I love it. Thank you for that. That that's. That's perfect. I love it. And, ladies, join us, we. All that's missing is you right now, right, so get, get registered. There's just a couple of spots left and we'd love to see you there. So, with that, aubrey, virtual hug until I get to see you soon and give you a squeeze and everybody else, bye, we'll see you next time, thank you.
