Episode #45: Navigating Mom Guilt - Trusting the Tiny Human and Yourself
Episode 45: Trusting the Tiny Human and Yourself
This month on A Soulful Mom’s Wisdom, we’re beginning a new exploration: the quiet, courageous act of trust. Trusting your instincts. Trusting the tiny human in your arms. Trusting the path, even when it bends into fog.
Motherhood is full of noise: opinions, comparisons, endless “shoulds.” And yet, somewhere beneath it all, your inner voice still whispers its knowing. Today’s episode is an invitation to turn toward that voice and let it lead you back home.
We open with this grounding reflection:
“Motherhood teaches you to trust yourself in the middle of uncertainty, to unlearn perfection and make peace with what you know and what you’re still figuring out.”
Similar to a soft lantern in the dark… because none of us begin motherhood already knowing; we learn by doing, by fumbling, by loving.
I start by sharing a piece of my own story, those early days when trust felt slippery. The breastfeeding doubts that tightened my chest. The swirl of late-night chores and invisible labor tucked into the shadows. All of it layered on top of sleep debt that made the world tilt a little sideways.
These seasons stretch you thin and tender… and also teach you what you’re made of.
From there, we wade into the practical worries that often steal a mother’s peace, child development questions that echo louder at 2 a.m. Speech delays? Too much screen time? Are they walking “on time”? Are you doing enough?
We sift through what’s typical, what deserves attention, and how to filter advice in a world that loves to shout but rarely pauses to understand.
Then we step into wellness… the part of the journey where trust meets embodiment. I share a simple grounding breath or movement ritual you can weave into stroller walks or outdoor time.
We close with a reminder that your values are the compass, no algorithm, no stranger on the internet, no comparison chart knows your child the way you do.
And I leave you with a gentle prompt:
“Where in your motherhood are you learning to trust yourself more deeply right now?”
A question to carry with you… soft, simple, and quietly transformative.
