all right, happy sunday everybody. Thanksgiving week coming up. That is why I'm sitting on the bed, because we got family coming to town and we had to make the bed for them. So a couple things not super long-winded today, but Thanksgiving day workouts or Thanksgiving holiday workouts. So Thursday, november 28th, we are going to have a workout at Midtown, 7 am. Cody and I are going to be running that workout and the cap is 40 people. I need you guys to sign up online. Use the MindBody app and sign up online. Right, you can ask a coach to sign you up. I think there's already 30 people in the class. I took it from 30 to 40 because the workout we put together we can take 40 people. It from 30 to 40 because the workout we put together, we can take 40 people. But please sign up. That's a must, all right. So 7 am Thursday, november 28th.

Speaker 1:

Many of us are gonna go from that workout and do the wobble before you gobble. That's Wingfield Park. So if you sign up for that, join us there. If not, just go have a great time, eat and drink and be merry and have a great thanksgiving day. After thanksgiving, chances are you might feel a little bit puffy, maybe full might have gone a little too hard at dinner time. If you're feeling that little bit of, you need an extra caloric burn session. Uh, tammy and jess are going to be coaching a workout on Friday 8.30 am at Midtown. Also, both these workouts are going to be done at Midtown and yeah, again, workout 40 people. Jess and Tammy are going to run it. Sign up on the app ahead of time. Plan ahead. If you sign up, show up. You know what I'm saying. All right, don't be that person that signs up and doesn't commit. So those are the two workouts, one each day for Thanksgiving.

Speaker 1:

Back to normal class. On Saturday at both gyms I have our normal classes. So Saturday at Midtown there's been a party lately. Just a friendly reminder Cody at 8 am at Sal Gym likes to party with friends too. So typically when snow starts flying and people start skiing and snowboarding, hitting the mountains, attendance falls off on the weekends a little bit. So you need to see how that plays out. But Saturday classes, you want a little more space. I guess everybody had a great time this last weekend. But Cody at the South Gym, go drop in on them, say hi. All right, we're one community. Let's bridge across our community. All right, people.

Speaker 1:

Next in the newsletter you can see your committed club standings. I've been having a lot of people ask me have I gotten my 12 per month? Where am I at? Blah, blah, blah, everybody that has completed 12 per month for the last 10 months is in there, listed out, right? If you feel in your heart that we made some kind of error and you should be on that list, reach out to me now and let's figure it out and see if that is an error on my part or on your part. I'm happy to navigate that with you. Also, the people fighting for 200 visits. Now there's two ways to get into the committed club 12 visits per month for 12 consecutive months or 200 plus visits in the year. The folks that have 175 visits or more because there's 25 days workout days left in the year is what I counted 175 visits or more because there's 25 days workout days left in the years, what I counted. With that, those folks are listed out there. So 175 visits as of today or more are listed out there. Those people have a fighting chance to get to 200 before the end of the year. All right, so check it in the newsletter. That is where you'll see some committee club standings also had some requests for a new sweatshirt. Coach tammy was wearing one of our og american flag sweatshirts and we haven't printed a double-edged american flag sweatshirt in quite a while.

Speaker 1:

In the newsletter there's pre-order. We are getting with the current century. Kids are yelling in background. You never do a video in peace. Hold on, hold on, hold tight. All right, I'm back. Well, didn't work, so got a pre-order link in the newsletter. There'll also be a pre-order link going around the gym. We're getting with the 21st century. Whatever century we're in, we're getting with it. I created. We now have an online store that I'm going to start building out. One of the goals into the new year is to actually have an online retail store for our clothing that can be used for pre-orders and ordering stuff. Surprisingly, we get a handful of requests of people who have moved away that want double-edged gear. Still want to represent the de gym in their new town. So we will be building out an actual online store and do 2025. The start of that is now. So this is test one of trying some pre-orders through the new online store. So that link is also in the newsletter. Also be plastered around the gym or new sweatshirt.

Speaker 1:

This year I decided that we aren't going to have a Christmas party. This will be the first time in 10 years, and here's why I have been conflicted about a handful of our double-edge events. One percentage of attendance isn't always that great, right, so we got to inspire people that want to participate in community events by providing community events that people want to participate in and be a part of. Another reason of this is, a lot of times, our double-edged events. I'm not anti-alcohol I like having some drinks with friends but in the past, a significant amount of alcohol have been consumed and that is just not the long-term direction that I really want to take.

Speaker 1:

The gym I want to figure out in the 2025 our community-oriented events, our get-togethers, our gatherings, things we do with and for the community, our DE family in a more what's the word maybe holistic, healthy approach of getting people together, celebrating our successes together and have kind of a do these events starting next year. I have ideas the team we're all getting together for our annual weekend annual planning up. We're gonna do that pretty soon and we're gonna hash out some ideas going into 2025. Calendars just not really working well and talking to a handful of members. Um, they tend to agree with me on getting away from the drinking inebriation, kind of get getting more towards health, wellness, us getting together as community and friends and maybe sharing some drinks, dinner and whatnot. And um had also some requests on bringing back the double-edged ball. So we might look into that for 2025. We're looking at a handful of different things.

Speaker 1:

I do want to flip the script in how we approach community events for you all, our members at the gym, our extended double-edged family, it really kind of revamped into the next chapter of you know Double-A-Will. So this year, nothing to block off on your calendars, not going to do it and, yeah, hope you guys aren't too mad about that. Most of the people I've talked to and threw the idea by totally get it, understand it and are excited for some ideas that we're going to roll out next year. So if you do have feedback and suggestions on things you would like to see us do and get together. In the past we've done day at the lake, we've tried the water park, we've done a handful of things at the gym, from Christmas parties and the open throw downs and various things.

Speaker 1:

If you have insights or feedback on what you would like to see going into the new year. Share them with me, let me know, because your insights do matter. But again, as part of my direction leading the gym and the gym community, I do want to get away from some of the past which these get togethers have led to overconsumption of alcohol, and that's not a direction I want to go anymore. So you guys, I love you have a great training week. If you're traveling this week, I want you guys to be safe and have a great time with your friends and family. Right, just give a special place in your heart and your thoughts and prayers. There's a lot of people that also struggle during the holiday season. This is a very difficult time of year for a lot of people. So enjoy your family, lift people up who are struggling in your thoughts and prayers and let's get out there and have a great training week this week. I love you guys. I'll see you at the gym.
