Matthew Firosz

Matthew Firosz is a seasoned hospitality professional with over three decades of industry experience, having begun his career in 1992. He is the current owner of Tchotchke (a breakfast and lunch diner) and The Green Room (neighborhood Pub). In St. Petersburg, Florida, both of which he opened in 2024. Prior to relocating to Florida, he was the owner of Retro Thyme Catering, NEPO42, and Bam Pow Burgers in Portland, Oregon.  Matthew’s background spans both front- and back-of-house leadership, including roles as a server, bartender, assistant manager, general manager, sous chef, executive sous chef, and executive chef across a range of hotels and independent restaurants. He studied Food Service Administration at Central Michigan University and furthered his education with a culinary arts degree at Anne Arundel Community College, both building a well-rounded foundation that informs his operational and culinary approach.
